I went to the ER at St. Luke’s do to an allergic reaction. It was so bad I couldn’t see and you eyes, mouth, and mouth are all swollen. I couldn’t breathe and they got me in and meditated fast! They really understood the severity of the situation and acted fast! They were kind and made sure I was as comfortable as possible. The nurse got my IV in first try! Love this place! Thank you guys so much for caring for me!By Stacey Kliever (a month ago)On October 30th, 2020, I went in for induction for my pregnancy. I progressed quite well and time mannerly. I was at 8cm around noon to 1pm, I asked for epidural. I received it after two hours lol. But, unfortunately my son wasn’t able to come out. The staff was wonderful and was keeping me in the loop as my mother in law was too. They were mainly encouraging for vaginal delivery. They didnt want me to do C Section but eventually, it was medically determined by my doctor and thankfully, I was taken in for Emergency C Section. The surgeon, Dr. Burger (I think if I spelled it correctly) did wonderful and cut me open as soon I was under anesthesia. He got my son out and safe. Postpartum nurses were amazing and I recommend the Labor and Delivery Services. Dr. Dannerbring is also amazing, she is somewhat associated with St. Lukes. She is mostly at Dakota Dunes Clinic. Kiddo is now two years old and thriving.By Alejandra Drake (2 months ago)Had the worst time here.
So me and my wife just had our first child together and she had a boy 7 years ago here and it was a very traumatizing birth and when we told them about the prior birth they seemed concerned and made sure to tell us that wint happen. Guess what happened, it was equally traumatizing for me and my wife, they had 3 nurses on top of her and 2 more pushing legs far back, all with a bad energy and chaos, it didn’t need to be so crazy in there. Also I was asked if I wanted to cut the cord and I replied yes I would love too, then after baby was out the dr just cut the cord without even acknowledging me, also when dr returned and we asked about size, time and weight and the dr replied “I don’t know” and we didn’t get to do skin to skin with her or was told anything unless we asked. All in all it was a horrible experience and we won’t be returning if we have another child.By Niko Fonseca (3 months ago)Been waiting in the emergency waiting room for over an hour due to my son’s throat is swelled, hasn’t been able to eat or drink in the last 2 days and people are getting in first due to a sprained ankle. Come on now. If you go to the emergency room it should go by the severity but not this hospital. They charge you so much for doing nothing. Such a joke and waist of time. I would give no stars but cant rate that lowBy hi hi (3 months ago)I just spent 5.5 days in the hospital, checked into the ER thursday morning. Sometime during the night on my second night there, while i was asleep, a tech brought in water/ice. When i awoke, my macbook had a black screen and a folder blinking. When i touched my laptop, water was present on the trackpad/keyboard area. When i went to grab my menu from under the computer it was stuck to the table due to water. A nurse actually witnessed the whole issue.
When i asked what can be done i was forwarded time and again to 4 different people. I was released from the hospital on tuesday and i called an Eileen thursday and was told the hospital does NOT stand behind personal stuff being broken while there. Also the tech said they brought “ice” alone in……. Well, ice tends to turn into water but who knows with todays science. What i do know is that a perfectly working laptop is now gonna cost me 400-500 to fix and st. Lukes doesnt do anything about it. Way to lose a regular person who has come to this hospital since before i was born.By Jason Hahn (4 months ago)

I picked a time on line to go in. We waited no longer than 5 min. Front desk person was friendly and helpful. The nurse was helpful. The PA was thorough and responsive. Clean office and not crowded. It was an excellent visit.By Gina Grimsley (2 months ago)I would put 0 if I could . Was turned away one day with 3 very sick little kids because they closed at 4:30. Then made an appointment the next day since evidently you have to make appointments now FOR URGENT CARE and waited over an hour for them to say it was going to be 45 minutes to an hour longer with a 3, 4, and 7 year old that turned out had influenza. I thought you couldn’t get worse than Mercy hospital and family medicine clinics until I visited urgent care. Also never did get to see a provider ended up leaving and going somewhere else where we were provided fast and excellent quality care with no appointment necessary.By Kali Closter (3 months ago)I had a great experience there this past Tuesday. I arrived about 9:30 in the morning. I was fortunate that the office was not busy -completed my check in and was promptly seen by the PA John Ervin. My PCP was unable to see me that day, so I was very grateful that I could be seen at Mercy urgent care. As a senior citizen with asthma, who was experiencing some breathing problems I appreciated being able to be seen that day. I received a breathing treatment, and a couple of prescriptions to address the issues that were causing my problem. I found everyone there to be extremely kind, friendly and attentive. As a resident of Dakota Dunes, I am also extremely pleased that as of Monday we have Mercy urgent care opening in this community. We have such a great need for an urgent care out here and finally we will have one! Thank you so very much.By Leslie Davis (3 weeks ago)Gave me misinformation regarding medication that they prescribed. Was told the med prescribed can’t be mixed with a pain med I took that morning so I had to wait 24 hours to take the med. After being in pain all night and waiting until the next day the pharmacist said that I should take the 2 meds together if still in pain. I said that I was told that I couldn’t mix them from the urgent care Dr’s instructions and was told that was incorrect information. Would have been nice to have been able to take the pain med when I needed it. Which was the reason I went to urgent care and the only option I was offered as to a fix for the pain. No other tests were run to determine cause of pain. Had to go to another Dr for any help.By Jalene Kuiken (3 months ago)First, I booked an appointment online for noon only to receive a call that they are not open at that time (they close from noon-1 for lunch) which is fine but why have noon as an available appointment time if it’s not a valid time! So they scheduled me for 1:20. I show up 5 minutes early, one other person in the waiting area- waited 1 hour before being called back. Sat in a room for almost a half hour before seeing the doctor and then took another 10-15 minutes to send a script off and give us the paper so we could leave. The doctor and nurse were nice but this was ridiculous.By Trisha Beaulieu (2 months ago)

Dr. Dena Nieman is amazing. Both my wife and I have an extremely hard time talking to people at all. Not with her. And she listens. Rare these days. Love her!
They help people with many different health issues. I’ve been going there since 2001. I was there before they added on to the first building on the corner. Now in 2021 they have remodeled and have made some great updates.
Scheduler failed to hang from our phone call, and proceeded to talk about/laugh at me with the first scheduler that I got disconnected from. After having to explain my private medical problem to the scheduler I got hung up on. When I called back I had somebody new . She got my info,, and acknowledged i had been disconnected.
I asked how she knew,, then realized it was in my notes. She said it was. She proceeded to ask me what was going on. I said I wish I could talk to other girl but explained. She then said it looks like the previous scheduler made the appointment. Why was I not told about the appointment to begin witchy? Why did I have to go through explaining (in great detail to be taken seriously by both schedulers) my medical issues. After all that the last scheduler did not hang up and proceeded to talk to the first scheduler ABOUT ME! Giving her version of our phone call, and both were laughing. When I said up, Miss? You are still on the phone call.” She simply hung up. I also was not told the location of the appointment . I showed up at the Sioux City office, then has to go over to South Sioux at the last minute. I gave 2 stars I stead of one simply by the experience at th South Sioux office was 100% great from start to finish.
Decent, just way too many people with kids who just don’t listen to their parents, kids just are little s***s in this state honestly. Spoiled. Not surprising.
I never liked going to the doctors but for Siouxland Community Health Center I do the staff are very friendly and they care about you more then you care about you
