I heard a lot of great things about WellNow so I decided to check it out. I don’t think I would recommend it above the Rochester Regional Immediate Care centers though. The experience is about the same.
Speaking specifically about the facility, it was nice. It was clean, and I was checked in quickly, offered a snack, and I thought all personnel I encountered were kind, despite being understaffed.
But if I’m here to review my individual experience, I waited for my diagnosis and to be seen by the PA for over two hours. The PA did apologize for the wait, and I understand they are in an impossible situation with COVID happening at the same time and I was not high on the priority list. It was not an in-and-out experience.
🚨 I think the thing I want future visitors to be aware of the most is the blood pressure cuff situation. I’ve attached 2 photos. One is my arm immediately after the machine attempted to get my blood pressure data, and the other is today, approximately 24 hours later. This blood pressure cuff is much more tighter than others I’ve experienced. Do NOT hesitate to ask for them to manually get your blood pressure data if you have sensitive skin like me.

There was a patient that came in and tried to give the staff a hard time and the staff used great deescalation to calm the patient. The patient left happy. The staff was professional. I would advise patients to come an hour early because it is busy. The guy told me they accept walk ins and I would be able to walk in around 4 o’clock. When I arrived I was told they were doing appointments only. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and helped me get an appointment at the next closest location. The issue was with the other receptionist sitting at the front desk. She interrupted the man helping me saying if I didn’t have an appointment they couldn’t see me. The guy tried to explain that he was setting me up with an appointment elsewhere, but she just kept talking over him. As she was doing this another patient walked in and the girl started going off about appointments only. She didn’t even greet the woman before she started going off on her tangent. Absolutely amazing! I had no idea an urgent care facility could be so professional and …polite! The staff was very quick in getting my x ray done of my broken foot and getting me a referral to a specialist. Couldn’t have asked for anything more
Wow- what an amazing staff!!! I came today for a last min physical. The staff is simply amazing here!!! From the front desk, to the nurse to the doctor. It’s extremely clean and they are quick. I appreciate the level of service at this location! Awesome job making us feel comfortable.
I would like to Thank each and every staff member who tended to my health needs. From the receptionists to the NP. I came in with vertigo and was seen promptly. Once in the back room, my vitals were immediately taken. Results were detrimental. In no time Urgent care had ambulance dispatch and I was whisk away to ER. I’m doing ok for the most part Wellness Now did an amazing life-saving Job. I am Extremely Thankful for them in my time of need.
The facility I went to on Dewey Ave exceeded my expectations. The receptionist, nurse and nurse practitioner were very professional, helpful and friendly. I got into a room very quickly, they diagnosed my problem and prescribed a medication that is working wonderfully! Thank you for taking good care of me…
I’m rating 5 stars for the staff that treated me. They were amazing. However. I was NOT a walk in, I had a scheduled appointment for 415. After checking in at 405, I was asked to wait in my vehicle. From there it was over 2 hrs before I was brought back to a room and tested/treated. I have an amazingly comfortable vehicle but when u feel like absolute S*** and have a 102 fever. Nothing is comfortable. This is where things need to be adjusted. Otherwise don’t offer appointments. I understand that things happen but 2 plus hrs of waiting in my car? Not so sure
