  1. Zero should be an option on this comment area. Dr Shawn Nakamura, chief of sports surgery, told me meniscus was torn, but lied. His surgery destroyed my knee. They sent letters to my other docs, lying, saying I screamed and hit them. I was crying in pain. They knew they screwed up so they tried to cover their mistakes w lies. Admin is as bad as the surgery team. Run away and don’t look back. This place should be shut down.

EDIT: To the reply from St MC. I did call. I did talk to the director. She said she would talk to the rest of her team and would get back to me. No return call, no letter, no email, no response. The hospital protects their doKtors and staff at all cost. They KNEW Nakamura screwed up and they didn’t want to deal with it. The patients get kicked to the curb and allow letters of liable and slander to be sent out by their accused staff. Your peers know what you are doing. You should be shut down. Period.

  2. Everytime i come here im treated with exceptional care.I was born in this hospital. My pediatrician was Rodger Miller. And when he retired my pediatrician was Dr Bryson Mchardy . If I could give this hospital a higher score then just five stars I would I would definitely recommend this hospital to all my friends and anyone else who’s needed Pueblo. Thank you for being a staple for Pueblo Colorado

  3. Incompetent and uncaring staff.
I went into the ER with extreme pain in my abdomen and chest area and didn’t know what was wrong. I was sent to St. Mary Corwin by my General physican after she realized how much pain I was in and she couldn’t figure it out.
First, the incompetent phlebotomist apologized repeatedly for messing up the I V that took 3 or 4 attempts and left me with several huge bruises. Then the nurse put the blood pressure cuff on top of the working IV and it blew out. After a scan, they gave me antacids and discharge papers. When I begged for someone to PLEASE, tell me what was wrong with me, because I had not been able to eat or sleep for almost a week, the charge nurse asked me, “Well… What do you want me to do?” with a sarcastic tone and her arms crossed over her chest. Subsequently, I was unable to accept a lucrative job because I was still in so much pain. Several weeks and many Dr. visits later, turns out my diaphragm was stuck between my lower ribs. I now have severe nerve damage that may be permanent. I realize that sometimes people make mistakes but the uncaring attitude left me very frustrated. I was personally made to feel like I was only there for pain meds but in reality, I just wanted help.

  4. I took my son to the ER, he thought he had an ear infection. They tested him for Covid/RSV/flu. They sent us back into a room, waited for 3 hours, he was not checked on once. We left at 2:30am to go to another ER. Was seen right away, he had two ear infections, they also called St. Mary Corwin for the results, he has Covid and RSV and had the results for hours while we waited.

  5. My wife brought me to St. Mary Corwin because we were afraid I was going to have a seizure.

When the provider came into my room (his name is Frank Reiser), he was very aggressive and his words were: WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? I have 11 patients in the waiting room that need beds!

My wife and I are both in the western medicine field and have been for over a decade. We were both shocked and appalled by Frank Reiser’s demeanor. I thoroughly explained to him my disease and the subsequent extreme fear of having a seizure. He walked out of the room. We had no choice but to leave the ER at that point. We came there for help and Frank Reiser decided I wasn’t worth helping.

In my line of work, I’ve heard many of my patients in Pueblo cheer for Parkview, and many others cheer for St. Mary Corwin. It’s always going to boil down to the experience one has while there and I’m always open to listening to my patients while also taking it with a grain of salt because one bad experience could have been due to a multitude of factors that the patient has no control of or even no idea is happening behind the scenes.

I’ve heard many more patients cheer for Parkview than St. Mary Corwin but I made the choice to go to St. Mary Corwin.

In this experience I had, there was nothing that was going on that should have caused Frank Reiser to immediately and aggressively shut down my care. My wife and I literally thought I may have a seizure and we were “greeted” with aggression and anger for me being there.

If you absolutely have to go to St. Mary Corwin, and your provider ends up being Frank Reiser, I suggest requesting a different practitioner. The entire experience was traumatizing in ways I’m not sure are fully processed yet. We will be filing an official complaint with the Colorado medical board.

Also, we received a bill in the mail, even though ZERO services were rendered and the doctor essentially told us to leave.

    Good luck and be safe.

This has been my second time at this clinic, I felt very cared and valued each time I went to receive treatment. I definitely recommend this facility for those whom may not be able to get in to their family doctors for weeks as holidays continue. The staff are very helpful and take the time to listen and explain what is going on. As the clinic location is easy to find.

Front office staff greeted me upon entering & gave me paperwork to fill out. She said wait was 1 1/2 hours; however, I was taken to an exam room earlier than expected. Nurse was efficient. Dr. Jessica Anaya was easy to speak to, compassionate, helpful & thorough in her exam. This made the visit well worth it & I would highly recommend this facility!

I am new to the area and tried to get a new general practitioner. Most offices aren’t taking new patients. I finally found an office that is accepting new patients, but the first available appointment is in 3 months!
If anyone is having a hard time getting an appointment or if something happens on a weekend I recommend this facility. The staff was friendly, there wasn’t a long wait and I felt the Dr really listened to me. It’s nice to know there is a reliable location to go to.

The ladies were super nice and helpful. My past experience here was great. Today no. We just moved here from out of state, haven’t had Medicaid and me and my daughter have immune disorders. We get called back fairly quickly but the doctor was super rude. We were just there for a physical. There was NO OTHER PATIENTS so it’s not like I was taking away care for someone else. The health department said we could go to a walk in clinic and get a physical done because they no longer do them and no pediatrician is taking new patients or I would have took her to a pediatrician. I mentioned how she was cleared for shots but her record won’t be up to date for school and that the health department don’t do medical exemptions but could they and he got mad and said I won’t do it either she needs a pediatrician!! After I said twice we just moved here and no one is taking new clients. He said let me get your paper work and left the room but left the door open and I could hear him talking about us angrily how we needed to get out of here we need a pediatrician and my daughter asked me does he not like us. I would let it slide if it wasn’t for her hearing him!! The ladies seemed to know he was hateful and was really nice to us leaving, I’m sure this won’t be the last time they have to deal with such shameful work ethic. No, he never asked about her Crohn’s disease. No patience for young families with different circumstances.

I’ve come here twice now and both experiences were wonderful. I didn’t catch his name but there’s an older male doctor who is great. He’s very straight forward, but I’ve never felt he was rude in any way. He was kind enough to give me a second opinion on an injury that I felt was misdiagnosed. He was patient and kind. Probably the best urgent care in town. Also it took maybe 20 minutes for the entire process each time.
