Brought one of my children in (3 years old) all staff was very kind and quick including the doctor. Room was very clean, waiting room was very clean.
We were in and out within 30 mins.
Gave 3 due to not knowing the cause of her problem when we left but she was given medication sent to the pharmacy and told to follow upBy Hannah Gaston (6 months ago)It was packed and there was a 6 hour wait. That’s the reason for the 3 stars. However, the rest of the experience was good. The Dr. Hwang was thorough, the staff was friendly attentive and they all received less respect from other patients than they deserved mainly because the wait was so long. I understand that there might be more severe situations that need to take priority over me and getting frustrated doesn’t make anything change. Was the wait long because of being understaffed or overpopulation of patients? I think it was a combination of both. I appreciate the concern and the time that was taken with me. I felt like I mattered and wasn’t being pushed through the system to open a bed or to be dismissed. I had high blood sugar that I hadnt been able to control for a week and a possible lung/respiratory issue. I was given a respiratory treatment, CT scan, a quite the lab workup along with an IV to hydrate my blood. I walked out with my blood sugar being half of what it was when I went in and a renewed sense of confidence.By Ms. Barnum (3 months ago)The wait to be seen in ER was 3 hours just to get a room. I was taken into a little triage room 3 different times. Hippa violation. I knew everyone’s name who came in after me and before me and everyone there knew my name. Some of the staff was not friendly, running like robots. Everyone was in such a hurry that they did not take the time to talk to there patients. The total ER visit was 7 hours and when I left I still felt the same as when I came in and did not have any answers as to what was causing my issues. I get that they may be short staffed. My nurse was great when she was able to get to me. I was seen by a NP not an actual Dr. I could have went to the clinic for that but my problem was severe enough I felt that ER would have been better. Overall I was very disappointed and frustrated.By Lori Mulvaney (3 months ago)Sat for long wait in waiting area with severe coughing episodes. When finally seen they did Covid test and was positive. They did nothing to try and get me some relief from all the coughing that I might finally get some sleep, (The main reason I went to ER in the middle of the night) Picked up the RX the next day and started on it but it didn’t do any good. Got different RX from my own Dr which did help some. Showed no concern for me as a person. Hoping I never have to use them againBy Ed Reichenbacher (3 months ago)Very bad service! My sick daughter & I stood at the counter waiting for over 15 minutes just to get checked in. If it was busy I’d of understood but wasn’t a single person in waiting room. The security guy was in the corner talking on his cellphone so no help there either! When workers would pass by they wouldn’t say a word! Terrible experience! I knew it would be a couple hour wait at least because it always is to see a dr there but usually not to just get checked in! We went to Crossroads & we were supposed in & out within an hour! Antibiotics& breathing treatment for my daughter & all!! We went to SSM clinic before going to er & waited an hour there only to find out the receptionist didn’t enter her into computer right to begin with! No apologies there just “we can take her off the list & you can go somewhere else”! SSM use to be my 1st choice but now I’m like everyone else I’ve heard from, service is terrible so why even bother! Thank you for the survey & I hope this gets looked into!By Denise Neal (3 months ago)

I drove up here from Buckner to get a pre employment drug screening. The email that was sent to me had all the information they needed even the account number to bill it to. The rude receptionist was arrogant and snotty and claimed I needed a form, because they dont know what sort of test I need even though I repeated PRE EMPLOYMENT. I ended up leaving here empty handed because one thing I have learned in 57 years is there is no arguing with stupidityBy Flip2 Flower (5 months ago)Came here for a scheduled vision/hearing test as part of my yearly requirements. Had over an hour wait. Then the hearing test is just in an office with headphones on. These things are so thin you can hear everything going on in the entire building. I was in the back corner office and could hear the receptionist talking on the phone. You can hear everything but the beeps.By joseph oldani (a year ago)Express care for private insurance people and they should advertise that. When you’re looking for an express care that means you’re looking for fast care usually at odd hours, I’ve never ran into an express care that only takes private insurances or has lengthy paperwork just for an urgent visit like they’re afraid they won’t get paid. Their self pay prices are outrageous as well.By Ver nella (a year ago)I have had to pre employment drug screens at other places and it is normally a walk in and done in less than 15 minutes at most. I have been sitting in the waiting room for an hour and half waiting. There were only 3 people in front of me when I walked in so at absolute worse case that’s 3 people that could have been taken back before me but again it’s a drug screen, you pee in a cup it takes 5 minutes and they could have had one less person to worry about in their waiting room. Completely absurd.By ashley lynn (a year ago)Great people fantastic price. I compared prices to all local facilities that provided the same level of exceptional care and they were less than anyone. They found an illness that had been misdiagnosed by another local urgent care type organization and provided follow-up care. When I go there I’m treated like a person not a number. The wait wasn’t long either.By leslie mckenzie (7 years ago)

That’s it for our list of the best urgent care clinics in Mount Vernon IL! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
We got seen for my 4.5month old son having thrush, they prescribed him 10x the amount of medicine he needed. I wouldn’t have know this if I wouldn’t have when to his pediatrician for a follow up appointment. They said to take 5ml 4 times daily (on the bottle) and his doctor said that he should only have gotten 1ml 2times daily. I am so glad it was nothing that could have cause any harm but we will not be back. Yes this is partly on the pharmacy too. I felt blown off when I asked if I, as a breastfeeding mother, needed to be treated too.
I took my 4 month old son in with an allergic reaction. I was told he just had a belly ache and to just feed him less. No advice on how to help his rash or his vomiting. I was told today by his pediatrician to stay far away from that food until we can allergy test him again around 9 months. Would not recommend if you have a small child.
The staff and providers were quick to take care of me but the billing was insane! I went for bloodwork and got a $997 hospital bill besides a lab fee and a physician fee. I will have to do blood draws somewhere else! I did call to ask if the almost $1000 fee for a blood draw was a mistake and they said it was not, so I just have to pay it!
I had to come here for a pre employment physical and a PPD test. I arrived at 7am when they opened and was signed in, taken back and done with everything within 20 minutes. Everyone was friendly and professional.
I came to this clinic after trying to self manage my illness at home for 3 weeks and my had been on my current antibiotics for 3 days and I was progressively getting worse. I was seen by NP Jamie Smith. She is completey incompetent and unprofessional. She ran no test nor did blood work. Her diagnosis was wrong and I ended up In the ER 3 days later. If you go there and she’s working, I suggest going elsewhere if you want quality care.
