5 Replies to URGENT CARE Near Me in Houston TX

  1. I got in about 30 minutes before closing time on a Friday, to get my eye checked as it was causing too much pain and getting worse with time. The staff was welcoming even if there were just a few minutes left of their shift. Dr. Alex was amazing in explaining my diagnosis and providing the pharmacy the medication I needed. It is the first urgent care I felt heard, and followed up 2 days later to make sure if everything is going well. Will be coming back here if another emergency comes up.

  2. It wasn’t a too bad of an experience but it was lack of knowledge on nurse practitioner’s side I believe because I went in experiencing high fever and nausea wasn’t feeling good at all. And the nurse practitioner was really nice however couldn’t differentiate if it was a stomach bug or food poisoning. I wish I could be able to know what I have after spending that much money to see her and to have a clear answer. She also gave general answers and advice so nothing to makes me feel better really. Went home feeling the same way. I was feeling extremely bad and waited in the lobby area more than 30 min. Considering there wasn’t any patients there and it was just me waiting in the lobby area and it was a very slow morning for them. It’s an urgent care meaning you need someone to help you right away. Overall, not a good experience. I wouldn’t choose to go there if I’m in an urgent position.

  3. Service was exceptional. The doctor energy was so amazing. She was very jolly and energetic coming into the room. She reminded me so much of how I act with my patients at work everyday. The clinic was just all around exceptional. Will definitely use this location if I ever needed again.

  4. I made an appointment ahead of time which I think they honored it nicely because I didn’t wait long and they took me back ahead of a guy that was already sitting in the waiting room when I arrived. Other than the waiting room chairs needing some serious replacing and something better to watch on the TV, my visit was pleasant. The staff were all nice and efficient. I was in and out in a timely manner. Thanks!

  5. I went twice. The first time was fine. I was diagnosed with pneumonia and covid even though the practitioner kept telling me how healthy I seemed. She and the rest of the staff were nice, though. She said to come back if my symptoms didn’t improve.

I came back to a completely different staff and got charged the same amount of money to be told they couldn’t do anything for me since they’d seen me already and to go to an ER because I’d need an EKG since I said my chest felt heavy. The people from the first visit almost did an EKG, so they definitely could’ve done it on sight. I also got a chest x-ray during my first visit but did not get one this time, so why am I being charged the same amount? They are closed now, but I’ll be going back to talk about this charge because that’s ridiculous. I’ve been to other medical facilities where they refund you if they can’t help, so I’d like to know what they’re doing here. Why would you let me in the back if more than one visit means you can’t help me?

Somehow my daughter always manages to get sick on a holiday weekend. Thankfully AFC Urgent care has accommodating hours and minimal weight times. Their website allows you to schedule an appointment online so you don’t have to sit in a waiting room and I had many options available to choose from. Upon arrival for the appointment, we were seen right away. The staff is very friendly and supportive and the nurse practitioner who evaluated my daughter was knowledgeable, caring and followed through with everything he said he was going to do. This is my second visit to AFC and I highly recommend them!!

I came in sick, within 5 minutes my vitals were completed, and within 5 minutes of waiting the doctor came in and saw me. Prescriptions were sent and filled and I was able to start the medicine the exact same day. I have come here multiple times for COVID testing and each time they are patient and helpful. Strongly recommend if you don’t want to deal with long waits and impatient staff you may find elsewhere. Thank you to the providers here!

AFC was the most pleasurable urgent care I have ever experienced. The check in process was easy, everyone on the staff was friendly and greeted me immediately, the facility was clean, and most importantly I was in & out. It’s close to home and they accepted my insurance. Definitely a 5 star rating across the board!

Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful, CMAs showed empathy and were very caring while I was in great pain. Doctor on call was awesome and helped me understand what was happening to me. Overall, I got the help I needed in a very impressive time manner. Best AFC location I been to. Thank you AFC I will be coming back!

Didn’t catch any ones name but soon as you come in you’re greeted with a smile and dimples! The young lady who took my vitals was so nice and cool, she made it feel like we’ve known eachother all the while. The doctor and her team mate ( really wish i knew her name because she was so fun and funny ) were also so delicate and nice. The visit was only 10 minutes! But this staff has a lasting effect!
