I had a great experience visiting CareSpot Urgent Care on Archer Rd. I called in to make an appointment and was able to be seen shortly. The whole experience from check in visit with the provider was smooth and fast. The front office stuff and nurses are very nice and friendly. I was seen by Patrick Frisbee PA and he is awesome! He was very thorough in his examination, knowledgeable and friendly. Mr Frisbee took his time to explain the treatment to me and I really appreciate that. Should I need to visit urgent care again I will definitely choose Patrick Frisbee at CareSpotBy Viktoriia Melnykova (2 months ago)My daughter & I had a bad cold. We made an appt to see the doctor at Care Spot Archer Road. We went about 45 minutes ahead of our appt. time. The Care Spot personnel was very professional. We sat for about 10 minutes after filling out our paperwork & signing in.They took us back & did vitals. The doctor was very professional & persistent when he came in the examining room with hopes of helping us get better. He checked us out & told us if we didn’t feel better in five (5) days, to come back. He sent our prescriptions in before we left Care Spot. Thank you Care Spot for taking such great care of the two of us. Yvonne RossBy Yvonne Ross (4 months ago)I needed treatment for a severe rash, made a same-day appointment online, very easy. Checkin was easy, front staff professional and courteous. Appoint right on time, med tech was courteous and efficient. ARNP was knowledgeable and prescribed medication that took care of the problem. They called in prescription to my pharmacy, it was a quick turnaround time.
Not all urgent care places are the same. This location is one of the best. Clean, efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
By Lb DiS (3 months ago)I’ve gone there before and had a great experience with one doctor. This time however the doctor i saw barely got close to me. She looked at my throat 3 ft away even though my tonsils were one of my major concerns. She also barely listened to my lungs. If you are afraid of getting sick please don’t become a doctor. The nurse also didn’t listen when I told her twice she was hurting me and to be a little more gentle. The cough meds are also barely working to not working at all.Edit: some grammar mistakes because I wrote this while I was still sick.
By Tsukino “BlackWitchesCat” Setsuko (a month ago)I have taken both of my children to this place multiple times, and every time every person that we come in contact with is incredibly kind and compassionate. The front desk staff has helped me tremendously with things that they probably didn’t have to. And the care providers always make sure we completely understand what’s going on. I won’t go to any other urgent care in town.By Jennifer Bassham (a month ago)

That’s it for our list of the best urgent care clinics in Gainesville FL! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
If you’re sick, don’t go here. Yes, it says “Urgent Care” but there is no sense of urgency in helping those who are sick. Made an appt at 9am for 12:45pm. Arrived early and wasn’t called until 1:45pm. The PA (Physician Assistant – NOT A DOCTOR) orders an xray at 2pm. I wait another HOUR and FIFTEEN minutes to be taken for a 3 minute xray. The nurse said, “I was tied up” but little do they know patients can hear you from their rooms while you’re clowning around and talking about other patients.
Then wait another 20 minutes for the results. Finally left my 12:45pm appt at 3:30pm and in all that time I actually spent only 10 or 11 minutes actually being “treated”.
Rooms are unkempt and offer no sense of maintenance either.
You can hear them treat sick patients differently from the ones who come in for physicals and non-urgent care. You can bet I will not refer any of our 4500 employees here
The staff was super friendly! I called on a busy Saturday morning and they were able to schedule me for an appointment that same day. I had expressed that I didn’t have insurance and they said it wouldn’t be an issue and gave me a detailed explanation of prices I might have to pay out of pocket. Once I made it to my appointment, the staff greeted me despite being super busy. It took them awhile to see me (again, very busy Saturday) but the staff was very patient and friendly. The nurse who attended me was the best! She was super funny and listened to all of my concerns. Once I was given my diagnosis, the nurse sent me home with a prescription and a list of vitamins to take to help make me feel better. Overall, great experience! Would definitely recommend!!
This was the absolute worst experience. I had an appointment at 3:15. Was told I was next to be seen, then sat in the waiting room for 2 hours. When I politely asked how long was left I was screamed at by the PA with red hair. She was so rude I can’t imagine how she chose a job to catering to other people. She had the worst attitude and said I should be lucky to have waited 2 hours. The worst customer service by the red head women. The women at the desk were kind and helpful, but it’s not their fault. All in all the worst experience. Would not recommend.
System was down today. Hubby had gotten me an appointment for 4:15, which was earliest available at breakfast time. When I got there, the staff kind of ignored me. They had to turn a lot of folks away and there was a very long wait, which I know from previous visits is normal for this location. The system being down threw them off big time. We are all very dependent on our computers. The system being down seemed to be quite stressful for the staff, esp. the receptionist who was not a happy camper. A nurse type seemed to be in charge of the receptionist. She poked her head in and told the receptionist to turn any walk-ins away. They made it seem like we wouldn’t be seen at all despite our appointments.
Everyone behind the wizard’s curtain was nice once I was finally seen. It was over 2 1/2 hours past my appointment time. People kept coming in, some with appointments (“null and void”) and without (“sorry”). They had to do everything by hand. They said they couldn’t see appointments or anything because the system was down. The wait was normal, the situation was not. I was worried the whole time that i’d have to try again tomorrow after wasting hours waiting there.
I went to CareSpot as a walk in. The receptionist let me know that their appointments were booked for the rest of the day, but that they would work me in when they got a chance. I only had to wait for about an hour to be seen.
My care provider suspected a certain uncommon disease, and recommended I go to the ER for immediate diagnostics and treatment. Her suspicions were confirmed by my ER doctor, and I was able to get the treatment I needed.
Thank you for the prompt care (even with your booked schedule) and referral. CareSpot was the right first-step for me to take in seeking treatment.
