Unity Point actually saved my life a few years ago. I had a stomach bleed. I was unsure of what to do. Went there and they very quickly hooked me up to EKG. They called 911 and had me in ambulance within in 10 minutes I was at Finley hospital. Amazing people work there. 😁👍👍👍By Ray Ward (4 months ago)My husband was in urgent care 2 weeks ago and I was in yesterday. Everyone was so courteous and helpful. We both had X-rays and tech was great trying not to cause us pain. First week had trouble with online scheduling and she said they would check into this. Was working after that. Thank you to staffBy Sue Kennedy (9 months ago)We’ve brought my 2 year old in 2 times over the last 6 months or so for illness. We’ve gone on weekday late afternoon/night and they are usually not very busy and can get us in/out quickly. Reception, nursing and Nicole the NP are all super nice. They listened to our symptoms, did thorough exams, explained procedures well and told us what to expect/do if it gets worse. It’s our first pick for urgent care when we are in a bind!By Kaitlin Frank (10 months ago)These guys did an awesome job today. We had to bring our baby in on vacation. They helped give him a treatment, and a dose of medicine. They were very thorough. They gave us directions around town to get the prescriptions we needed. Super appreciative that they were even open. Thanks so much!By Jacob Hudson (8 months ago)When my wife entered, reception was more concerned with their conversation they the patients in the lobby, to the point they didn’t realize who had and hadn’t been called back yet. While checking in my wife was explaining her symptoms and why she chose to go to urgent care. She was interrupted each time by Tina, who seemed impatient and tried to hurry my wife along each time. When reviewing insurance information my wife answered based on what had been previously told while working with UnityPoint systems and Tina became dismissive, insisting that wasn’t correct, but agreeing to put in the information my wife gave, and then told her “Well sometimes it doesn’t work that way, I’m glad it did this time.”
Once my wife was called back the nurse practioner was patient and offered a solution to make sure my wife could improve and knew her options is things became worse.

The picture shows the message I left today on the bottom of the main Entrance door at UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital in Dubuque. It still has salt deposits on it from last winter. The entire entrance is filthy. Let’s hope they do a better job cleaning the operating rooms.
Check out the hallways, bathrooms or elevator corners at the floor. You will find dust and dirt often present and waxed over. Check the elevator tracks or even the inside of the elevator doors. All need cleaning. Appears management and supervisors do not understand the need for scheduled deep cleaning of unusually areas.
Maybe someone in management needs to come to work through the front door with their eyes open.(Review edited 3 days later)
One of the pictures was taken today 09/12/22 three days after the first one was taken. It appears some one wiped the bottom of the entrance door but had no intention of really cleaning the door, the entrance way or the walkway around the main entrance. Even after my earlier review it doesn’t appear to matter. This is not an opinion review, check the areas I have mentioned yourself.Today is Thursday, September 15th, and this is my third post. Please note the comment below my posts from UnityPoint. It’s the same post they give each comment. “please contact our Marketing Dept.”. Well I’m not addressing marketing! I don’t want to get the standard line from marketing saying how much you appreciate my comments and that the proper department will be contacted to address the issue.
I’m addressing Operations “cleaning”What I want is a clean Hospital!
Why doesn’t someone from management overseeing cleaning address this issue on this page.Oh and here’s a suggestion for marketing:
Instead of taking the valuable time from the floor staff to sign all the silly insincere “thank you” post cards sent to discharged patients, give those payroll dollars to maintenance so they can hire more help.By Mike Murphy (5 months ago)Our ER experience was not so great! Doctors were good, most nurses were great! My biggest complaint is when we were in the ER the monitors in my daughters room were going off flashing red lines going crazy, and she was chocking couldn’t breathe, and no one came to help! I ran to the nurses station for help and they were sitting either on computers or talking no one had a clue what was happening till I got there then everyone came flying! They quickly got things under control, thank god! My question is what would of happened if I wasn’t there in the room? What really eats at my soul is when we were leaving the nurse says to me “ thanks for coming to get me it really helped!” I mean really??? Never again!!!By Cathy Flores (6 months ago)Was very disappointed in the care in the ER tonight. My nurse Hannah was amazing. Sweet, caring, took her time, and explained everything as she went along. The Dr… Not so much. It took four hours of me asking for pain meds besides toradol and Tylenol before they would allow me to have anything and it was as I was walking out the door for discharge. The physician seemed great at first, then told the nurse that I couldn’t have anything more than Tylenol due to my allergy list. It was explained that I only develop a reaction those medications if it’s something I’m on around the clock for several days. That I tolerated several doses just fine after recent multiple surgeries. She became very rude when I attempted to talked to her about it. I have been a nurse for 15 years and I know this was poor bedside manner and delay of care. When you come to the ER with complication from a procedure in a lot of pain, you should be treated adequately prior to discharge. She didn’t make sure I had all my questions answered before she rudely stated that she could give me a couple Lortab to take home then walked out of the room. She did not even bother to discuss the consult from ENT with me nor did she read me the results of my CT report. I wasn’t allowed to take a copy and they stated I couldn’t sign a release and have it faxed to my dentist so they have it first thing in the morning. Very very disappointed in the physician. It’s sad you can go in with a significant issues and still walk out with minimal help. I will definitely call ahead to make sure this physician isn’t working if there are ever future visits for my family or go to Mercy. Everyone deserves to have their pain adequately controlled, quesuons answered, and to be treated with respect.By Kristen King (7 months ago)I just wanted to say almost everytime i have been in there the nurses have been very great. If you ever get the nurse Crystal L you should ask for a new nurse because she is very unprofessional and wouldn’t treat my daughter. Sat there for 3 hours while having a 103 temp didnt come in and check on her and ask if she needed anything or to tell me we are still waiting on her labs. told me she would not see my daughter and another nurse had to take her. she needs to leave her personal problems at home or whatever the case may have been she was very rude.By Shana Harwick (3 months ago)I had the worst ER visit I have ever had. The ER doctor, Luke Casey, completely belittled me and gaslighted me. When I came in with symptoms after waiting in the waiting room for 2 hours, the first thing besides asking how I was feeling, was “should’ve gotten your flu shot”. After a whooping 40 minutes in the ER after expressing 3 separate times that I wasn’t holding anything down and had vomited 6 times, it never passed his mind to run an IV or banana bag because “the vomiting is just from coughing”. He told me that he would swab me for the flu and if it came back positive, he would prescribe me antivirals. I was with my sister in law and she even heard him say it. However, when I called back today, I was gaslighted and was told from Luke that “he never said that and he doesn’t prescribe antivirals”. I wouldn’t send my dying dog to Finley. The way this entire thing was handled with gaslighting, I will not be returning and I will be filing a formal complaint against Mr. Luke Casey.By Quinn Swenson (2 months ago)

That’s it for our list of the best urgent care clinics in Dubuque IA! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
I had my first ever surgery on 7.14.22. The nurses and my doctor were so nice in helping me with this difficult time, especially the travel nurses. I hope to not have to use their excellent service again and recommend them to all patients.
I was admitted into the emergency room due to abdominal pain on the lower right side of my abdomen. The PA, Lucas, thought it might be my appendix, so he went through the motions of checking that out (labs, CT) but he didn’t rule out other things and was very thorough about finding what was causing my pain, which I appreciated. He was also very friendly, so was the student, Justin, that was shadowing him. They both were very friendly and professional. The shining star, however, was my nurse, Kristen, who was absolutely the sweetest nurse I’ve ever had! She is an incredibly nice person and very smart. All three (Lucas, Justin, and Kristen) were very nice to me and always trying to ease my nerves throughout the various tests I had to go through. The ultrasound tech, I think her name is Megan? Was also incredibly nice as well. And the nurse at the front desk, Mike, was super friendly and cool! Besides being in incredible pain, my trip to Unity Point Health – Finley Hospital was actually a pleasant one
Great staff and great doctors thanks for taking good care of me. Finally I got down to the university of Iowa city hospitals n clinics and got all my surgeries done and my medical conditions under control and now back home by family and doing very well. Thanks for what you guys could do for me at the time. Bruce Leibold
Had to wait 3 hours to be seen on a Wednesday night, then when I was finally seen it took 3+ more hours of just waiting in the patient room by myself until they ran tests for me. Finally after the tests were done they gave me the go-ahead to go home without even checking the results of all the tests that were ran. Would highly suggest visiting a different hospital ER if you actually want to have an examination done if you are feeling symptoms of a potentially serious issue with your body, as this hospital will not take it seriously and you will be disappointed.
I was admitted to emergency room in July and the nurse William was super nice and kind. He helped me a lot. My son was admitted to the ER last night and Willian was working again. He is super kind and nice person. Thanks a lot for his kindness!!!
