- Reviews:
The person at the front desk was an absolute gem of a human. She was so kind and caring for each patient. The team inside the clinic was really wonderful too- they were extremely busy and still had extremely kind and patient bedside manner. This was by far the best experience I have had at an urgent care!By Kelsey Nagle (2 months ago)I wish i could give this place a worst review. I went in for a drug screening which I had made an appointment online for. I called the urgent care phone help line (you cant call the actual urgent care centers directly) in order to confirm that I was all set for my appointment. I provided them with the appointment information and they said I should be all set. It was important I get this drug test done for a job offer I had. It was the last day. When i walked in the first thing they told me is that they are no longer taking walk ins. Once I mentioned I had an appointment they looked me up on the computer and told me the people who administer the drug screenings were not in, that I’d have to come in another day. I called the care well help line again and they told me that they could not contact my employer in order to help explain the situation.
Not only did they waste my time and money, but they were unwilling to help the disaster they cause in my life.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Also very rude and unprofessional front desk people.
By Christopher Fernandez (7 months ago)It was a very good experience made, particularly so by the lovely woman who did my intake, and who very kindly called me when there was a cancellation allowing me to get in significantly earlier. There was an emergency while I waited, but even still, I was well attended to, and the PA who met with me was very efficient. I greatly appreciated this since I was visiting from California and therefore not native to Cambridge. But she arranged for medicine to be Filled at a local CVS and my hope is that I will soon be on my way to recovery from a horrific case of hives!By Hollister Turner (2 months ago)I do not normally write any reviews or comments except that today it was very very unprofessional. First off they scheduled me to an urgent care that was temporarily closed, the most upsetting thing is that I even called before I go there then I called to see if there was another one close by and when I finally get to the other location the front desk lady was not very courteous, and told me the wait will be 1.5 hrs. She did not even try to be understanding. I hope that in the future they have more and better customer service.By Cynthia Laroche (3 months ago)Exactly what I needed! I almost walked in without an appointment, but good thing I did make one because their desk has a sign saying they don’t do walk ins anymore. I filled out their online paperwork which asks for your ID and insurance, other questions, and I was basically all set when I arrived at my appointed time. I was seen soon after and the full visit was no longer than 30 minutes to an hour. My medication was arranged for pickup and I was on my way! Very smooth and straight to the point treatment.By Julie Tran (5 months ago)

I visited PhysicianOne in Chestnut Hill for a quick procedure to take care of a very painful problem that arose while on vacation. I am originally from Illinois and was nervous about the kind of treatment I’d receive in a town that I am extremely unfamiliar with, but the providers at PhysicianOne were super nice, thorough and helpful. They saw me within an hour of me visiting and I was out of there within 1.5 hours. It’s the fastest visit I’ve ever had at any urgent care! The provider was also very kind and answered any questions I had. Definitely a good experience.
We went to urgent care for our baby because we suspected an eye infection. Before going, I asked if they do pediatrics and was told yes. After being checked in and waiting two hours, the PA told us she didn’t feel equipped to evaluate a baby. The office should have told us that before admitting us to be seen and making us wait so long. The PA still evaluated him and prescribed eye ointment. The tech and PA did not wash their hands when evaluating the baby or use gloves. Nor did they clean the machinery for oxygen reading: they struggled to get any accurate reading and then guessed the oxygen was low because of the machine. They forgot to call the prescription into the pharmacy after we went twice to pick it up. The baby had a bad reaction to the medicine, which I guess isn’t commonly prescribed for babies (found this out later by talking to other doctors). I was given an email to provide feedback but got an error saying it’s only for internal use…
Very disappointed with this experience and I have been to other urgent care facilities with far superior expertise.
Very nice, all things considered. Deducting one star because I wasn’t taken until 30 mins+ after my scheduled time, but that’s no surprise at urgent care.
Woman at the front desk and nurse Michelle were very friendly. Doctors came in within a few minutes and diagnosed an eye issue in a few minutes.
Overall, a much more pleasant experience than my previous Urgent Care at Coolidge Corner.
P.S. Parking is tough, so give yourself a few extra minutes.
More a pan of the whole company rather than just this location, but I was turned away from receiving care because I am a Medicaid patient. There was no indication that this would be the case during ANY of the previous steps of making the appointment or checking in. There should be a notice that is VERY obvious and easy to see when attempting to make an appointment.
Staff was nice, but unacceptable to not notify me that I would be turned away BEFORE I made the trip out.
Physician One gets 5 stars for care but I’m giving taking one off for a combination of other issues – two significant ones. .Everyone I dealt with was kind, friendly and seemed good at their jobs. The person who took vitals and did a nasal swab was competent and didn’t treat me like an idiot which was appreciated. The doc I saw (or possibly PA) was excellent – explained his thinking, didn’t rush me, answered questions carefully and thoughtfully. I felt very good about the entire clinical experience.
Here’s why they lost a point (I’d have taken 2 points were it not for the strong clinical experience):
1) They have you sign electronically twice for the usual privacy and release of info, but you have no idea what you’re signing other than taking the receptionist’s word. At no time can you see any indication of where your signature is being applied. I could have been signing a second mortgage application for all I knew. I was shocked by this and I suspect this is problematic ethically – if not illegal. I suppose I could have refused and insisted on signing on paper; if I went back, that’s what I’d do.
They also do not sanitize that very same e-Pen. They didn’t have me use sanitizer before touching it or after and didn’t sanitize the pen after I touched it (or others who came through after). They have a jar full of clean ink pens, but the signing is done electronically so what good is that?
I was also a bit disappointed that even though I made an appointment in advance and showed up on time, that it still took 45min before they put me in a room and another 45 till I saw the PA – but that probably goes with the urgent care territory.
