1. I have been here twice and each time the care was stellar from the greeting at the reception desk, to the check-in people, to the nurses and other staff. Every single person was friendly and went out of their way to respond to my needs. For same day surgery the care was perfect before and a specific nurse took care of me from recovery to discharge with a friendly competence that you usually just see on tv shows. This stands in sharp contrast to Albany Medical Center where the medical care is great but patient care is poor.

2. Absolutely the worst hospital ever. I would go out of my way to avoid this place but emurgent care said to come to an er to have them do an ultrasound because they couldn’t rule out appendicitis for my son so I came to the closest one and was I disappointed in myself. Every single time I have ever been here it’s been horrible from check in to check out. I sat in the waiting room for an hour before administration took us back only to be put back in waiting room. Waited approx 15 minutes more before ultrasound and blood work and now hour and half later we’re still waiting. Pretty sure my son doesn’t have appendicitis but it should not take this long. PLEASE IF YOU CAN!!!!!! GO TO A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL!!!!!!! But the two nurses that took my sons blood one male and one female were absolutely amazing!!! They talked him through the whole thing and I would like to give them two an absolute 5 star. But the ultrasound nurse ehh she might have been new so I don’t want to say she was slow.
   * update I asked the nurse what’s going on because been here for ever said everything came back she will go Harass the doctor. Hour later doctor comes in to tell us everything is fine. Another 20 minute for the paperwork and someone to come take the iv out of his arm and we might be able to leave

I’m new to the area and need immediate Attention for my son . admissions were completely unprofessional and rude her only concern was going on a cigarette break she forgot to give my son a wristband and on her way out to go smoke she put her cigarette and lighter down on the table next to my son and put his wristband and handed me papers and said probably need these. The waiting room was nothing less then filthy! Mask on the floor trash all over . They forgot my son for 3 hours then sat us in the hall for all to hear what had happen my personal information was also taken in the hall with no regard to privacy everybody could hear what we were in there for and my insurance information ! The intake person was extremely nasty and trying to make the assumption that I was a lower class person , yelled out my co-pay for everyone to hear and walked off. My son felt dehydrated a nurse said i’ll get them a drink and never returned! The doctor bed side manner was relevant ,non-existent did absolutely nothing said my son was fine . There was blood on his face and a fever and unanswered questions about my son condition. The other nurses were eat watching social media doing nothing!! And obnoxiously speaking to people that clearly needed help. I watch a person sick leave the examining room and a nurse ushered another person right in the same room and never cleaned a thing this hospital is disgraceful and should be shut down!

4. I was very impressed with the staff in the radiology department today. Not only did I not wait more than 2 minutes after registration, but everyone I encountered was excellent! I will definitely have all my studies done there. Thank you girls for all the love today!!

5. Went to Samaritan Hospital as an absolute last resort after falling down a flight of stairs, hurting my back and backside. Pretty badly injured because I landed on the back of my body on hardwood stairs, and then hit every stair on the way down. I was unable to walk very easily, and given a wheelchair to sit in. Imaging was done fairly quickly but I was made to wait for close to 5 1/2 hours in the waiting room.

   I told the receptionist that I literally could not sit for more than a few minutes because I had several enormous bright red and black hematomas and it was utterly excruciating to put pressure on them. She told me, “well I guess you’ll just have to stand, then!” After I had just fallen down a FLIGHT of stairs. So rude and non-compassionate.

   Finally was taken to the back and forced to sit in the hallway, where I heard nurses going off about patients tearing out their IVs and just leaving! They could not keep track of their patients, who got fed up and just left. After hearing it mentioned three times, and no one helping me after an hour in the hall, I could NOT sit anymore. I was nauseated from pain and just left. DO NOT GO to this hospital unless it’s an absolute necessity. I was never even asked to show how my body was blackened .

   I’m still in agony as I write this but at least I can lie on my side. Absolutely disgusted.
