  1. If you need to pick up medication at the pharmacy or shop in general, go to this CVS during evening hours, the staff are much more mature and friendlier. I had to pick up a couple of prescriptions earlier in the afternoon and the pharmacy staff during that time were a nightmare to deal with. They jumped me in between “pick up” and “consultation” because they couldn’t find my electronic prescription, and kept telling me to go see the other person. Then, I’m being told by the pharmacist that my doctor prescribed me too much, the medication I’m trying to pick up isn’t going to work anyway, and my insurance doesn’t cover prescriptions. Ok cool, lady, I’ll buy it myself.
Just overall behavior and attitude of afternoon pharmacy staff are a real piece of work to deal with.

  2. A true find, Dr Joe and his staff are efficient and awesome. They were there in our hour of need, and I thank them for getting the job done and helping us out. I highly recommend this location versus the location at 7th and keystone, especially the pharmacy. Thank you.

  3. On November 3rd 2022 I visited the minute clinic on Robb Dr and was given a prescription for a sinus infection. Instead of having it sent to my pharmacy at Safeway to avoid an extra trip I thought it would be convenient to use theirs. I was wrong. I went to the pick up window and was told it was not ready, ok didn’t expect it that fast. I had a seat, it’s now 4:30 pm and about 20 minutes later I get a phone call saying it was out of stock. So I go back to the window and say you couldn’t have just told me that 20 minutes ago. So I asked the counter worker if they could transfer it to my Safeway pharmacy across town in sparks. She tells me no I have to go to the consultation window for that. So I asked the young man if he could transfer this and state that the reason is that it’s out of stock. He then tells me that it is not out of stock, but in one of the 37 bins in back that have not been opened yet. And that it would be ready by Monday the 7th. He then said he would not send it over and that I had to go to my pharmacy and have them call CVS. So I did and it took quite a while for them to pick up the phone. Once Safeway reached CVS they said they would fax it over. About 6:55pm they said still no fax from CVS. So I called and couldn’t get through, on hold until phone call was dropped several times. So I hit yes I am a doctor’s office and reached someone. I asked them why they hadn’t sent it and was told to calm down as I was very fustrated. I told the woman not to tell me to calm down as I was not yelling nor cursing at her. She said that she would now fax it over right away. This was now 7:00 pm. At about 7:35 I was told by Safeway no fax and they closed at 8pm. So I flew over across town to CVS and demanded they call Safeway right away before they closed. I was furious. They did and this morning I contacted Safeway as soon as they opened to see if they had in fact received it. They said, oh your from Last night, we got it a few minutes before we closed, and about 15 minutes later I got a text from Safeway saying my order was ready for pickup. I have never spent this long wrighting a review of any kind. Robb drive CVS was the most uncaring, so unconserned about the customer than anyplace I have ever been to. They just couldn’t have made the call at 4:25pm for me. Disgraceful!

  4. Go anywhere other than this place. I cannot believe how crazy these people are. They walk away from you in midsentence and don’t come back to help you. One time I came to pick up a prescription, after I waited a few days for it to be ready, and they told me I had to wait 30 minutes because they were receiving a delivery. At 11 o’clock in the morning. And then when I asked her if there’s anyone else who can help me while they handle their delivery for 30 minutes This ridiculous woman screamed at me, like I should’ve known about the delivery. Maybe just close the pharmacy down for 30 minutes if that’s what needs to happen. But to sit there and have the pharmacy open and let us know that is our problem that we happen to come in at a certain time is ridiculous. They should have someone dedicated to handling the delivery and then someone else to help help all the other patients. It was during business hours, so it seems a little on the ridiculous side to expect someone to wait 30 minutes when there’s not another patient in the whole place. Hate this place.

  5. I’m giving a 5-star review because of the young lady with long red hair who helped me today. She seemed to actually care which is rare to find it seems. I didn’t catch her name but I really appreciated the help.

Pharmacy line always takes forever. It doesn’t matter how few cars are in line. It usually takes me 30 minutes if there’s only 4 cars in front of me. Time of day doesn’t seem to change that. Can’t seem to get my one prescription transferred to another location through the app, I’ve tried multiple times. Definitely recommended going to another CVS location if you can.

I’ve used CVS on northtown for years. The last 4times I have gone they send me an alert to pick up prescriptions, then I am told they are not ready and I need to come back. Today I called at 12 regarding my son’s antibiotics, then at 5 and at 630 when I came they said there was an issue and could not fill. After contacting the doctor the workers argued with me about call and fix it. Finally a pharmacist stepped in to call. This facility is extremely uncaring and could care less about patient care. Obviously people who are sick are in need of assistance, not one apology for their rudeness or lack of compassion. I will NEVER use this pharmacy again.

My cutest experience with this CVS was about 3-4 months ago when attempting to full my husbands prescription after his motorcycle accident. The pharmacist was dismissive and rude when I attempted to find out why the lesser of the two scripts could not be filled. Today was my second and last attempt at service here I submitted 1 hour photo request online at about 4pm today: the photos were intended to take to my ill father on my emergency visit to him tomorrow morning. I arrived at 6:15pm and was told their photo machine went down at about 3pm. It might be fixed tomorrow. No call, no concern or compassion, no anything. The employee, Sam, first instructed me to change the print location on the app. When I pulled up the app to try, she had no idea how or if that would be possible. She also did not know how to cancel the order and replied I’m not good at the app. I will not be returning here.

This used to be the best Pharmacy until a Pharmacist named Mike showed up there. He is the rudest and refused to refill Rx. I made a complaint. There are better pharmacies, which I found. No one seems to be happy there. This is a ZERO STAR.

Such a terrible pharmacy. Don’t ever go here. My mom got surgery on Wednesday & we’ve been calling to get her meds filled at they are making dumb excuses.

On November 12, 2022, at approximately 1:30pm, I went to CVS on Steamboat Parkway to pick up my 87 year old’s mother’s prescription after they contacted her it was ready. The pharmacy had no record of it for pick-up. I called my mom while standing at the counter to clarify what she needed. She said they told her she could pick it the day before. She had missed picking up the first prescription (feeling unwell) and they had restocked it. But today, no record of it at all. While I was standing at the counter, still engaged with one employee, the pharmacy pulled down their metal screen window to attend to their break. I wasn’t finished trying to help my mother, they saw that and I tried talking to them through the metal slats and they told me to come back at 2pm. I said but my mom needs her medication and one of the workers finally said they called it in, it was expired yet my mom’s last bottle said it was still current for one more refill. I don’t know how it can be outdated when they had it ready for her just a week prior. The point is, they had a customer at the counter still in the middle of a service and they just pulled down the slider metal cage right in my face while I was talking to them. I know they were annoyed I didn’t just walk away but I was simply trying to help mom. It was completely rude. I found the store manager who apologized profusely. I told him I am a manager (and of an animal pharmacy!) and in a million years I would not dismiss a client still clearly trying to get help and tell them to go away, we’re on a break, come back later. You don’t do that, you finish taking care of the client first. I told the pharmacy and the manager that this CVS Pharmacy at Steamboat, not the rest of the store, has a poor reputation in town (my doctor said she never goes to this location because of the attitude and poor service) yet we all still put up with terrible customer assistance. That pharmacy is snobbish, patronizing, and condescending. Will anything be done? No. The only thing to do is to take one’s business elsewhere. I’m sure there are nicer CVS stores in Reno.

I can’t do it with CVS Pharmacy anymore. Every time I go, it is a minimum 30 minute wait (Whether inside or sitting in my car at the drive-thru). When I call to see about getting my RX transferred somewhere else, I am on hold for 20 minutes minimum, only to usually get disconnected. As I am writing this, I am on my second phone call and am currently at 18 minutes and counting. Sadly, I don’t recommend this pharmacy, anymore. It is terrible.

The worst pharmacy I have encountered. Staff are miserable. Never answer the phone. Drive through “broken”. Scheduled a COVID test online. Then was told they had nobody there to do the test, and you can’t come inside to test because the drive through not open. And when I questioned why I was allowed to schedule if they couldn’t do the test, the answer was “that’s corporate- there’s nothing we can do about it”. Go ANYWHERE else and safe yourself the grief.

Unfortunately, the pharmacy takes forever here. People are nice but the pharmacy processing speed is less to be desired taking days. If you need antibiotics or pain meds, you will be in agony for days with no phone call or more than likely no answer on their side as well.

Shout out to ‘yea well I’m going to lunch …’ girl who shut the drive through window in my face after waiting 22 minutes in line. Really appreciate the “sass” after pointing out that I got there way before ‘break time’ – which was still 2-3 minutes away. Bcs its definitely my fault nobody there is capable of alternating lunch breaks, putting a cone out or hanging a sign.

Its strange to think that even fast food restaurants have higher standards than a pharmacy for who they employ. Then again this location has been racking up the sterling 1.x star reviews for years now, so apparently management doesnt care either.
