I’m very irritated. I was told my wait time for a prescription would be 15-30 minutes, maybe 40 at most. I thought that was extremely reasonable. I waited around in my car and the store without receiving a “prescription complete” notification. I checked in an hour and 10 minutes later. Then, I was told it would still be another 25-35 minutes. If I had been told this from the beginning, I would have gone home. Instead, I wasted a ton of time and gas staying cool enough in my car.
I know prescriptions take time, and I’m okay with that, but my time is valuable, too. I wish the estimate had been more accurate. Additionally, there are no restrooms for waiting patients.
By Brianna B. (7 months ago)Rude and slow service. They didn’t answer phone calls, made me wait forever even though I had an appointment. I was there first but they ignored me then helped other customers in another line that formed after I came. They entered the wrong insurance information at first and I had to tell the pharmacist to fix it. He seemed unethical as he said the vaccine was free through the government. But I had insurance and wanted to do it properly. They only helped me after I went to another CVS who then had to call this store to administer my vaccine as the other store didn’t have it in stock.Total time to get a covid shot with an appointment was about 1.75hrs. (Came in around 6:36pm and left around 8:14pm)
By Richard Nguyen (4 months ago)Staff is great but severely overworked and needs more help. 1 pharmacist and 1 pharmacy assistant results in 20+ people waiting in line to pick up scripts and the phone never being answered. Other employees totally ignore the line of customers. Corporate needs to get off their backsides and work on getting and retaining more pharmacy staff.By Aislynne 485 (3 weeks ago)I recently discovered a CVS for the first time in Colorado. It was bright and well organized. The clerk invited me to join their discount plan and I was able to save money right away.By Mary Masters (4 months ago)This CVS is consistently understaffed. I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years and there’s a 50-50 chance every time it’s going to be a nightmare. There’s enough not enough staff to help me get stuff that’s locked in a cabinet, and there’s not enough staff to be able to operate the pharmacy and the drive-thru. I’ve also watched them go through more than a dozen pharmacy tax, which tells me they’re probably not treating their people very well. I hate to do this because it’s a prime location for me, but I’m going to have to change pharmacies because I just can’t deal with this anymore. The staff are nice, they always take care of me, and I can tell they’re doing the best they can, but it’s pretty clear that management for this place, and upper management is really bad.By Jacob Van Ekelenburg (2 months ago)

The pharmacy has horrible customer service, and serve no purpose to this community. They do not communicate with each other including the district manager. Healthcare is important and they rather be on a ego trip and entitlement rather than help patients out and low income families. They tried to force me to get all my medicine filled at there location when I clearly explained that doing this would cost me more money being that some of my prescriptions are not covered under my insurance therefore I use good RX which at some locations and other pharmacies are cheaper than CVS. I had it set up that way for cost effectiveness for my household. Behavior from pharmacies like this is why you see more people wavering their health. Companies like this contribute to the death rate to keep money flowing into their business Hanna,Aaron, and Roxanne simply shameful and a disappointment to this community.By Mailia Sullivan (6 months ago)The pharmacy is totally swamped with a either prescriptions that needed to be filled or too much emphasis on the drive through pickup which has caused not so good service due to the volume. If this is the case, more at window staff needs to be hired or better organized. There has been confusion at times with scripts the Doctor sends in and the time it takes to have them filled. To make things fair here. A good supply of them should be in stocks not to have a serious medication having to wait a weekend to get filled.By Jimmy Bege (4 months ago)This CVS is the worst I get accused of stealing toilet paper because I was in the bathroom for 10 min taking a number 2 and watching YouTube shorts. What horrible customer service, the Manger there is the problem old and grumpy would be the words I chose to describe him. I’m sorry your bathrooms are open to the public if you don’t want someone to use them Close them off to the public. But they would rather accuses the customer of stealing worst CVS in town also they never thought that maybe just maybe th bathroom ran out of toilet paperBy Greg (5 months ago)I usually feel fine going into cvs the lady’s up front always greet and seem to be friendly but coming in today for two items not one worker greeted me and when I went to check out at the self checkout one worker was hoovering didnt say hello or anything just standing there looking annoyed like I was stealing it made me really uncomfortable. Seeing previous reviews about being mistreated cause of their race concerns me I hope today wasnt that case or else I’ll stop coming to this location. It saddens me that people still judge the skin color and not a person’s character these days.By Candice (a month ago)Says you guys close at 12pm its 11:55pm and you are not in the store and store is closed!!! CVS come on you can do better !!!By Amos Leyba (3 months ago)

That’s it for our list of the best CVS in Colorado Springs CO! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
If I could leave -10 , I would. The pharmacist is extremely rude! She answered the phone asking “what do you need this early on a Tuesday?” She hung up on my daughter, her insurance company and myself numerous times. All we were doing was trying to fill her prescription , and have it ran through her insurance. She fills there monthly and this has taken 11 hours today with no resolution. She told the insurance company she was too busy doing injections to help. Absolutely unacceptable.
95% of the pharmacy employees are so incredibly rude. On the phone and in person. They clearly don’t want to work there. The amount of times I’ve been rushed, cut off, and ignored when trying to be polite as possible is not okay. I’m sure if they read any of these reviews they wouldn’t even care, so this is more for people considering coming to this pharmacy. I do not recommend ! I’m switching as soon as I can !
I have never had such a terrible experience with anyone in the medical profession. I had a dental procedure and got my prescriptions filled here. I was still in terrible pain and my dentist told me to increase my pain meds to two tablets every 6 hrs. The next day my dentist sent in a new script for additional pain meds and a new antibiotic. Danielle, the pharmacist refused to fill it saying it was too soon even though my dentist spoke with her explaining the reason why. Another person in the pharmacy stated that it would be ready the next morning at 9 am. I then waited to get my pain medicine on the following day. When I showed up Danielle told me that SHE deactivated my prescription. My dentist office asked if I could get the script and take it to another pharmacy, and when asked, Danielle told me she could look for the script but it would take 72 hours to find it. Even my dentist was floored by her statement. My dentist office had to write a new script and I had to go to a completely different pharmacy. The CVS pharmacist (Danielle) looked at me without a single ounce of empathy while I cried in pain, with my swollen face. She could have helped me, or at the very least gave me back the script I had brought in, but instead she chose to make it even more difficult for me to get the medications that I needed. She had the most empty, uncaring attitude. She was well aware of what she was doing. She is obviously jaded, and needs to find another profession. Rather than admitting that she was wrong, when she talked to myself and my dentist, several times. She chose to tell me she had a large workload and walked away. I am a nurse I deal with people every day and would never treat someone this way. I really hope that someone at CVS looks at these reviews and realize that there is a pattern of very poor customer service and no sense of a community partnership at this location.
Pharmacy drive through was closed. Never picked up the pharmacy phone (on hold for more than 1hour). No way to discuss anything with them other than showing up inside. Then the wait was more than an hour for them to tell me my prescription isn’t ready. My insurance couldn’t even get in touch with them. What a joke of a store/pharmacy. I hope this place closes down.
This CVS location is absolutely TERRIBLE!!! I have been on hold for over 2 hours and they picked the phone up (I could hear people talking in the background) and hung up on me without saying anything. This is not the first, second, or even third time that my husband or I have been hung up on. We have been on hold for so long that we have physically drove over there to see no one in line in the drive through or in store but we are still waiting on hold and the employees are laughing and standing around.
My husband is on controlled medications and has gone without his medication numerous times and they blame it on the doctor not submitting a pre-authorization letter. The doctors office is also so annoyed by the pharmacy that they have asked us to keep them on the phone when we were there so they could hear them say that and the doctors office will tell them they submitted the letter multiple times. But somehow they never receive it.
We have been able to send the same medication to a different CVS location with no issues. Apparently only this CVS location has issues receiving information from doctors offices.
We have stayed at this location because of the complications that come with not being able to transfer controlled medication prescriptions to other pharmacies but at this point we would have better luck getting any kind of medication from anywhere else.
Please do not waste your time or money at this location… Go somewhere else if you actually want to receive your prescriptions when you need them.
