If I could give 0 stars I would. This pharmacy is awful.
They never answered the phone, for 2 days straight. I had to get a cashier to go ask them to answer their phone. When they finally did answer, the pharmacist said they didn’t have the medication, couldn’t get it, and wouldn’t transfer my script right away because they were too busy. When I urged them to transfer it fast because I needed the meds, they were raising voices, laughing me off. When they finally told me they transferred it, my new pharmacy called me to say that the fax from Rite Aid just said “we don’t have her prescription”). Just the worst experience. I’ll never step into a Rite Aid for anything again.

I have a relatively minor issue, but an irritation none the less. I’ve never been in this store but made a quick stop to pick up a bottle of Windex. While shopping, I also picked up a bottle of wine – one of my favorites that was available at a good price. At check out, the cashier asked for an ID… hmmm, I turn 73-yrs. old next week, but I comply as I assume it is simply store policy. I showed my driver’s license still in my wallet. The cashier indicated she couldn’t see the expiration date, so I had to wrestle the card out for her. I’m thinking, ‘This is ridiculous.’ I can understand asking for an ID if one’s appearance makes the age determination difficult but come-on…the cashier wasn’t much younger than me…why do we need to play this game? I do not believe it is a shipping issue still although the cashier insist that’s the problem. This store is way less stocked then the other location. Yet way more stocked on alcohol! LolBy Willow (5 months ago)I had to go to the pharmacy 3 times to get my complete prescription. I called 9 times trying to speak to someone to confirm it was ready and no one ever picked up. To add to that the second time I went I waited over 30 minutes in line for them to tell me it wasn’t ready…this is not the first time this has happened and I’m sure it won’t be the last. This CVS location has definitely been a hit or miss for a lot of people based on their reviews. But, in my case, they have been consistently providing great service. I switched over to CVS when Bi-Mart initially closed their pharmacies down. It was an easy process and they were able to refill my prescriptions fairly soon after the switch. The staff members are friendly and knowledgeable, and they get you checked out as quickly as possible. This location does get quite busy at times but they do their best. I hadn’t had any negative experiences with them until December of 2022, and this was not with the regular Pharmacist or any of the usual staff I have interacted with. I believe they had hired seasonal staff for the busy holiday season, and my interaction with one of the new people was not the friendliest, but it wasn’t enough to make me want to write a hasty, fuming review over one slightly negative experience. Nobody is perfect, and you never know what someone else is going through. The staff are generally very friendly and amiable despite being persistently understaffed and obviously dealing with frustrated customers.
The online rx system is unreliable. Frequently it will provide the incorrect status.
This could be a lot of knock-on effects from the pandemic, but there seems to be a lot of kinks still needed to be worked out.

I have been trying to reach someone at this location for 6 hours now. I am brought to a holding line where no one ever picks up. It is completely unacceptable to never answer your phone call. I refuse to drive 20 mins there to be told I can’t get my prescription filled and to come back later because they don’t know how to answer their phone. I strongly recommend going to a different pharmacy.By Michelle DiForti (4 months ago)First visit i was told to come back in 1 hour and Rx would be ready, came back next day then they said would be ready in 2 hours, came back 2 days later and was told it would be 45 minutes. Appears to be just Pharmacy Techs & No Pharmacist. This was a new script for me and they directed me to decline a consult with the Pharmacist which seems highly unethical. I watched many people in line finally get up to the counter only to turn around in utter frustration. Have been over there 3 times, waited in extremely long lines, only to get people who could not have cared less about my situation. They seem to be limping along, very slow service, very long lines and uncaring employees. I have been going to Westside for many years and was patient during the COVID related delays and labor shortage. I don’t usually post negative reviews, but twice my prescription has been filled incorrectly. The first time, the dosage was many times what I normally take. I called and was told to bring it back. Yesterday, I received the incorrect brand that has gluten, even though I have always had a brand with the designation that it was gluten-free on the label. Luckily, the pills looed different both times, so I immediately knew I had the incorrect items. Each of these incidences resulted in an extra trip and the incident today, not even an apology from the Pharmacist. My advice is to look carefully to be sure you have the correct prescription or use another pharmacy.
I love that it’s a small local pharmacy, not corporate but they are the slowest pharmacy I’ve ever worked with. Takes half a day to a couple to get a prescription filled. Horribly slow
They took on way too many new clients during pandemic. I always have issues with prescriptions being filled on time and every month have to call them or go in to straighten it out and I’ve been a customer for years. Time to transfer prescriptions.
My PA ordered a med that was $1500 for me. The folks here found a $10 alternative that worked just fine. Called the PA and had it changed. Thank you. Have been here for years and they are fantastic.
The Westside staff are always kind and helpful, even amidst the craziness of the past Covid years. Helping rush an emergency prescription for a grandchild with RSV, or before a flight out of town. We love supporting a small local business.
