I shop here weekly and can say the staff is so friendly and helpful. They always work with me if things don’t ring up right and are very patient. Lines are never long and I love the staff is willing to help you at self checkout or ring you out on a register if you prefer to not use self checkout. Called to refill my 14-year-old dog’s seizure medication on 12/12/22, was told that it would auto-refill on 12/16/22. Went to pick-up on 12/17/22 and was informed that a request had been sent to the vet to refill. I was told that the prescription expired on 12/13/22 with 1 refill left on the script and that now it would need to be called in from the Vet. But when i tried to refill it on 12/12/22, I was told that it couldn’t be picked up until on or after 12/16/22???? On Monday 12/19/22, I called the vet they called in the script, I called CVS pharmacy at 5:00pm on Monday 12/19/22 (waited on hold for 22 minutes) confirmed that the vet called in the script, informed the pharmacy that my children would be to pick up the script @8am when they got off work as soon as CVS opened. Was told sure, it will be ready, Children go to pick up script on 12/20/22 8am, they were informed that they did not have it in stock and wouldn’t have it until 12/22/22 (Shadow (our dog) took his last pill at 7am on 12/20/22, he takes it twice a day, so at this point, he has NO MEDS!!!!!) They called me while in line I asked if the script could be transferred to another CVS with the medicine in stock, Was told no. Asked the kids to put the person on the phone, the CVS employee said “no, i can’t you have to call the store”. I immediately called the store asked to speak to the pharmacist (again on hold for 21 minutes and 36 seconds, RIDICULOUS!!!!) I explained to the pharmacist that my dog has zero meds right now and what can be done to fix that RIGHT NOW!!!! She puts me on hold (brief), comes back and says oh, we have enough for 5 days on hand, just not enough to fill the whole script………. So I said that should have been communicated to my children when they were there 30 minutes ago to pick up his medication, now they have to come back to get it. The employee at the drive-up window was too lazy to look into the situation!!! This entire process has been a headache and shows lack of concern, poor customer service, and quite frankly a total disregard for needs of my dog and our time!!!!! I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN OR PATRONIZE ANOTHER CVS IN MY LIFE!!!!!By Melissa Haskins (2 months ago)The pharmasict was ridiculously rude and incompetant. Could not process a simple insurance claim. Made me wait for more than an hour just to tell me this. Could not give me any reason. He was simply not willing to do it. He did not even try. Over the past 24 hours I’ve had two very poor experiences with this pharmacy. Very condescending staff and pharmacist who questioned my competency when filling a prescription I’ve used for 19 years. He actually asked me if I checked my refrigerator to ensure I didn’t see a 90 day supply and then labels my new prescription boxes 1 of 3, 2 of 3, and 3 of 3 just to be sure I understood it was a 90-day supply. I have managed pharmacists in my career and I would be appalled if any of my staff acted this way. They are part of the reason why healthcare is so fragmented today by putting all the communication between providers on the patients being served. I walked in today and the tech loudly says she doesn’t have anything ready for me. I informed her I was picking up a prescription for my son. Just rude and unprofessional. Instead of implementing scheduled lunches, I would focus on customer service training. Will be working to transfer my prescriptions from CVS to another Pharmacy ASAP.By Chentelle Lane (7 months ago)If Zero Stars was possible they would receive Zero stars most definitely. Went to the pharmacy they told me there was no prescription. Went home got the paperwork doc gave me and called the Doc, They told me everything was sent in and ready for pickup. Go back to pharmacy with paperwork and they tell me that there is no order and wont put in a order, when I have the paperwork Literally in hand. Was told I can come inside and look for something over the counter. Women was very rude unhelpful and try to tell me there was nothing she could do when I had doc order proof in hand. I walked into CVS around 4:30am to buy metallic markers for my daughter first day of school poster board. When I walked into the store I was greeted with leave your purse at the front counter. I had to make sure that who I came in contact with wasn’t someone trying to rob me because the neighborhood isn’t the best. It was in fact a store associate. He stated that he was just doing his job and was told to tell everyone who walked into the store that either you put your purse and/or book bag or anything that someone could use to steal at the front counter or leave outside in your vehicle. It was rude not how he said it but what he said. I wasn’t going to shop at CVS however I was in a bind because no stores around are open until 6am and my son has to catch the bus at 7am. When I got to my vehicle someone was circling it because I assume they seen me place my purse in my vehicle. I felt unsafe. It was dark in the parking lot, no security of any kind, etc. If this is how people are being treated I will never spend another dime with CVS even when I am in a bind. CVS has to do better. I am ashamed to say I am from Akron when I see or hear such ignorance.
This store location is easily accessible from anywhere in Akron & it’s surrounding areas. The 24hrs availability is awesome. I have been able to pick up a RX before work. I especially appreciate MELISSA for assisting me today to find applicable savings & helping me to realize the benefits of the passport program!
Just spent 30 minutes waiting at CVS drive through window without anyone acknowledging me. Nobody picks phone. Guy came, handed me my meds and said sorry, didn’t see you. About to change my pharmacy.
You need to train your employees a little bit better about customer service you have a very rude employee me and my family standing in line you know a line built up the young man choose to Bogart his way through me and my family when he simply could just go around like one of your other employer did excuse me that was his exact words doesn’t work like I’m your guest you can’t just Bogart your way through like I said he could have simply went around I recommend for the manager to sit him down and tell him how to perform what customer.
