  1. This is the WORST CVS pharmacy that I am now having the unfortunate pleasure to deal with. Not only are they WEEKS behind on filling prescriptions the staff has the unmitigated gall to have unpleasant attitudes to match their unprofessionalism. I attempted to have my medication profile moved from my old CVS which is out of state to this location via phone, and the staff REFUSES to answer the phone. After attempting 3 days to accomplish this via phone, I visited the store to get the ball rolling. The staff acted as if I was asking them to carry boulders on their backs. I inquired why the phone was not being answered I was informed by the pharmacist that “they are too busy” to answer the phone. I couldn’t even hear the phone ringing in the pharmacy, why because I the ringer was OFF! The pharmacist actually tried to over talk me when I brought this to her attention and make excuses such as “you will only be put on hold”.
So after receiving text messages that my prescriptions were ready, I proceeded to the store only to be met with a lengthy line full of disgruntled consumers. Myself included, I waited in line for over 30 minutes to be told that my prescriptions still were not ready, although I received text messages the day before stating they were ready. I was told by one staff that it could be expedited and would be ready in 20 minutes. While waiting I called CVS cooperate office, spoke with a representative and actually put my phone on speaker so that she could hear the complaints of not getting much needed medications from other customers. I saw folded arms, frowned faces, sighs of disappointment after being told that yet again your medication is not ready. I counted 10 consumers walk away after being told wait times of 2 hours or more.
I saw one staff member outside of the pharmacy and I attempted to ask her about my prescriptions, she cut me off, told me she was from another city and the pharmacy is WEEKS behind. What does any of that have to do with me inquiring about an ETA on my medication…absolutely nothing. Everyone there is a buck passer, and full of excuses; not reasons. If I could change my pharmacy I would, but unfortunately my insurance won’t allow it.

  2. This is the worst pharmacy EVER. They need to completely shut down this location. My daughter has epilepsy and has to have her meds ON TIME. This pharmacy never has them ready on time- and getting someone on the phone is impossible. I have literally been on hold for HOURS before and they never picked up. I actually stayed on the line while I drove in to town to go in the store and speak to someone in person. I was still on hold when I finally got to the counter in the store (after waiting in a long line there too). I have been hesitant to switch pharmacies because I know I can find a CVS anywhere- but after today- I’m done! My daughter has been without one of her seizure meds for 5 days and I’ve tried to talk to someone every single day and still haven’t reached anyone. I’m on hold as I’m writing this review. I’ll probably still be on hold when I drive into town later to switch pharmacies.

  3. States closes at 10 pm. Does NOT clearly state that pharmacy closes at 6pm on weekends. When to urgent care for elevated blood sugar, had med called in and arrived at 608pm. Was told, very rudly, that pharmacy closed at 6pm. An eldery lady was there to get her meds as well. The pharmacists walked out (head ducked) and employee turned and walked to back of the store. I have been a nurse for 30 years, if you do not care about people; find another job.

  4. Had an appointment to get a PCR COVID TEST witch is a requirement for my wife’s cancer surgery next week at MD Anderson in Houston. Appointment was made on Thursday the 28th. We canceled a test the day before surgery so we did not need to go a day early get a room etc. because we had a confirmation at CVS to get it in Alexandria. They would not give her the test and the pharmacist was extremely rude when Questioned as to why. Drive thru window lady was visible irritated having to answer any questions. I will never use are recommend anyone use such a despicable establishment.

  5. Just done. I have been going here for years. Needed an emergency prescription filled at 7:00. They don’t close until 10;00. I call Kroger and they closed in 30 minutes and said bring it we’ll fill it. I was in and out in 15 minutes. 3 times in the last couple months I’ve gone in to pick up a prescription before closing and they were closed HOURS early. There was a woman in the store livid because she drove 30 minutes to pick up a prescription at 7:30 and they were supposed to be open until 10:00. Do not use this pharmacy. They say they are short handed. I get that but they have been saying that for 2 years. Hire these people some help. They are overworking the staff that is willing to stay. I would not work for this company either

The CVS, on Bolton Avenue has always maintained a level of accountability. The pharmacy has change over the years , but some of the employees are overwhelmed at times with the fluctuations of medications available. We have to understand that this is a stressful job at times trying to help consumers.

Waiting in line at the pharmacy for a prescription that was supposed to be processed on the 6th, and could have been filled at another pharmacy, however he Computer records showed that it had been filled at CVS on the sixth. The other pharmacy which also received the same prescription couldn’t fill or process it on February 9th because records indicated it was filled at CVS on Feb. 6th and I just hadn’t picked it up. I had also received a text from CVS on the fifth indicating that this prescription would be eligible for refills on the sixth. I thought I needed to call in order to actually have it filled. On the 9th after attempting to get it filled at Ray’s, I went to pick it up. I arrived and went in without looking at the time. I waited in line for about 10 minutes while the cashier and customer in front of me conversed casually about non-prescription matters, and when I reached the counter I requested the script and I also asked for a print out of information about other meds needing prior authorization to take to my appointment The next day. The cashier seemed put out and took her time looking up my account and then asked me if I knew that they were closed. I of course didn’t and said so, but didn’t want to be rude even after she told me that my prescriptions had been placed in the bin on the sixth and processed, but still had not been filled, and rudely told me that “the sprinkle capsules” needed prior authorization. After asking her what the “sprinkle” capsules were, she quickly and rudely spelled out an unfamiliar new blood pressure medication. I realized that she was probably upset and figured I must have walked up after seven which was the closing time she stated so rather than keep the cashier longer, I politely wished her a good night and told her that I would come back in the morning and get a print out and decide what to do about the unfilled prescription that I would be out of for the evening dose. When I got in my car and found out that it was only 7:02, and not only did I not have the information or the prescription I needed, but she let me stand in line for ten minutes while chatting with the customer ahead of me and then wasted time by telling me that they were closed instead of being professional during at least five minutes before seven not to mention that I was in line for an additional ten to fifteen minutes while she interacted with the male customer in front of me about non CVS matters.

I hate going to this pharmacy in particular!!! I am really sad the Pill Box closed. It’s always unwelcoming vibes in the pharmacy. The black lady always has an attitude!!! If you are short that’s not our problem . Learn to treat individuals coming in trying to get medicine for the ill

This is LITERALLY some of the WORST service I have EVER had. All I wanted was for someone to check if they had a certain medicine. The pharmacy leads bald-faced LIED to me, telling me that a particular medicine had a certain ingredient I needed. So, then I tried to call the manager. After being made to sit on the phone and jerked around for awhile while they tried to get me to go away, I was FINALLY picked up by the pharmacy manager, John. Who not only refused to even LOOK to see if they had the medicine, but told me ANOTHER bald-faced lie by saying that they took this medicine off the market. I TOLD HIM THAT WAL-MART SELLS IT. He proceeded to tell me the same lie anyway. Getting angry at ME because I was asking for a little bit of help. I have no vehicle. I am sick. ALL I WANTED WAS FOR SOMEONE TO LOOK AT THEIR ONE CHEAPEST BRAND and see if it contained this medicine, because it is the ONLY thing that unclogs my nose when it gets this bad, and I didn’t want to have to ride the bus there only to find that no-one had it. TERRIBLE. Customer service USED to consist of more than just a smile. What a sad place.

I stopped using this CVS location for prescription medications after a male pharmacist shorted me some time ago on ED meds. The location is convenient, but a bit run-down.
