  1. From the moment of entry I knew we had picked the right place. Or server was happy to see us and was very efficient bring coffee and food out. The food was next level, and the cinnamon roll was like (lay down to eat good).

  2. Delicious southern food and awesome hospitality. We both had the catfish special for lunch and subbed onion rings for one of the white bean sides. Our favorite was the catfish, hush puppies, and the onion rings. The coleslaw and beans were good, not a thing wrong with them, just not as striking to us.

  3. Great food! I had been looking forward to trying this place out since January when I first spotted it. The homemade bread is fantastic!, a lot of food for the price, also got a cinnamon roll and heath bar cake to take home. A must visit, very rustic and lots of info.

  4. Fantastic food in a historic building. Our table shared a mouth watering cinnamon roll. For breakfast I went with ham & eggs served with biscuits and gravy. My wife had an excellent western omelet. Friends went with hashbown casserole. Everything was excellent! Service was great too. A nice selection of gifts also.

  5. Such a cool place to make a spur of the moment decision to have a girl’s day breakfast. The food was good, atmosphere was nostalgic, & the service was quick. Rory is keeping Joey’s spirit alive in such a sweet way. We had stuffed French toast w/ bacon & scrambled eggs, & a bacon-egg biscuit w/home fries. The biscuit was actually a roll which jazzed it up a bit 😊. A unique time which will be a repeat visit.

Lots of mixed thoughts about Silke’s. I loved their soup. I was told to order it dining in, because you get more. They didn’t have the schnitzel with mushroom sauce on the menu. They had no soup that day. They were understaffed too. German coffee is good but not amazing. Service was good yet struggling. The personal Italian pizza – great. My bratwurst and potato salad – good. I am giving it 3.5 stars rounds to 4 stars. I really wanted to have their tasty soup. So not wowed, slightly disappointed, and wishing I had skipped it for sushi.

We had a great lunch experience here today. I had a veggie burger on ciabatta with sauerkraut. My wife had a wurst with broetchen, hot German potato salad and sauerkraut. Very good food.

Been coming to Silke’s since I got to town in ’07. The BEST for artisan sandwiches and pizzas with a German flair. Don’t get me started about their breads and desserts. A+!!!

Amazing staff, and food. You can’t go wrong here. Best German chocolate cake I have ever had.

This establishment is only accepting cash right now as payment. Went and found an atm just to try it. Ordered the Margherita and cheese pizzas, both were good but the margherita was better! The staff was friendly and helpful. They have breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, pastries, cupcakes, cakes and breads with coffee and pepsi products to drink! Definitely was a good experience!

Service was average but the food was outstanding. My club sandwich was delicious as was my raspberry scone. My wife’s meal was tasty as well. Her sugar cookie was great. All the cookies and pastries are mouth watering and choosing just one was difficult. They are know for their baked goods and we could understand why. If you want to get a meal elsewhere, do, but definitely stop here for your dessert. Parking is very convenient as there is a free covered parking deck across the street.

I had read about this bakery and just had to stop in and pick up a few treats while visiting. They also offer a sit down restaurant environment as well as a walk up bakery counter. The brownie and cookies I bought were amazing and the line kept getting longer as I was there. Service was friendly and fast – this place is popular. Once you taste their baked goods you will know why the line was continuous.

Very welcomed entrance. I travel a lot and a smile even through a mask (which can be seen is great)! I got a byo turkey sandwich with American cheese bbq chips and an orange juice. Sat down started to work and five min later my food was there. That dish should be served just like that with pickles on the side and be called better than your mommas sandwich. It was delicious. I then went and ordered some pastries and they were delicious! Will definitely recommend to anyone traveling here and thank you for everything. The girl that waited on me it was her first day there (2/10/22),and she was absolutely the best!

Charming atmosphere. More seating than it looks like from the outside. I ordered the house salad with a scoop of chicken salad. The portions were huge. Loved both.I had bottled water but they have fountain drinks. There are cookies, pies, fudge brownies, bread and more wrapped and ready to take home for later. Their sandwiches are delicious also. My friend, Gina, said Merridee’s makes the best egg salad. I’ll have to try that. You order at the counter. They give you a number, and you take it to the table. Servers bring your food to you and clean the table off. I forgot to take pictures of lunch. I’ll post my breakfast and dessert pictures soon.

Cute little spot off the square. It’s a little pricey for what you get but that is to be expected here. Service was fast. Lots of baked goods that looked so good. We would come back
