Very inept pharmacy. When calling, you are on hold for over ten minutes listening to the same irritating ad repeatedly and never having your call answered. I tried transferring my prescriptions from another local pharmacy to this pharmacy and after two weeks, I’m told they never received the request, despite the original pharmacy having records showing they sent the prescriptions a week ago. When entering the store, it is very dingy and disorganized and smells musty. And I had to wait because the 3rd was still not ready. Parkersburg is a small town with several pharmacies. I spent two hours trying to secure a Pfizer vaccine with CVS; the only location that administered that was the Broadway location, but they were not permitted to book appointments. I had to call an 800 number. It took OVER TWO HOURs of being continuously transferred and repeatedly being put on hold and once my call was answered, I was being repeatedly asked how I got the numbers I had reached as though I randomly made then up CVS has overstepped its bounds. The customer service reps or whatever title they are given are inept and rude; only one special lady was nice enough to take care of me and she stayed on the line until the correct person answered. Unfortunately that was one hour and fifty minutes of holding and being transferred. Really thinking of leaving this pharmacy chain and going in another direction entirely! I have been a customer for a very long time and within the past year they have went down hill. I have went there to pick up my medications and was given the wrong medication not only once but three different times and there excuse was ” oh that happens all the time”! So you guys give the wrong medications to the wrong people?? My premature son was given zantac for his acid reflux he was supposed to have enough for 30 days. They gave me 36 doses 2x a day it lasted him 18 days… I had to break it down for them and show them that 36 does 2x a day was 18 days and they got very rude and hateful towards me. Then they finally admitted to messing up the amount they have given him. My other son had 2 anitbitoics dropped off around 8:30pm and the lady working the drop off window said it would be an hour wait… I was told it would be ready at 9:30pm i asked her 2 different times if they would even be open she said oh we’re open till 10pm ,so I drive 35 mins back in town to pick it up to find it was closed. So not only did I waste a trip I wasted gas and now my son’s foot is even worse because he didn’t get his medicine because the lady knowingly gave me the wrong time. The workers need to get there act together before they give someone else the wrong medication or make them wait for something they have to have. The pharmacy tech Jeremy I believe his name was, was very rude and dismissive. Went in for my 6 year old sons medicine three times. The first time at 10:30 am The last time at 7 pm I went into the store. Nobody answered the phone inbetween the second and last time I came, I was on hold for 35 minutes before I gave up. He wouldn’t bother to look at me just basically said it’s not his problem and that the doctors voicemail was on his machine but he was to busy to bother with it, yet when I went in they weren’t doing anything besides talking to each other about their hours l, and how they should get paid more for dealing with people. All while me and two other people just waited in line for them to acknowledge us. The phones were ringing constantly while I was there and again they didn’t even acknowledged them.I left without my sons medication and bought over the counter medication.
Service used to be awesome when the previous pharmacist was there but he suddenly passed away Dec 2020 and now the service is terrible, I have multiple people I’m responsible for. They will not answer the phone ever! I waited 1 1/2 hours on the phone and no answer during business hours and I completely understand the covid complications but this is ridiculous. Most people working in the pharmacy are rude, they don’t say please hold we’re busy or anything. I need to go elsewhere it’s a big hassle but in the long run it will be worth it.
So went in today and as I was checking out I noticed all the registers said closed. The guy who was working there told me I needed to self checkout. Very weird considering he didn’t look busy at all and there was a line forming behind me. Tried to put my coupons thru and wouldn’t take. He acted like he could care less. So I guess this guy just didn’t want to work today (ring people up). If you don’t want to ring people up and force them to use self checkout then go somewhere else and work!!!!!!!!
The employees at the Murdoch Ave CVS need to be refreshed on the code of conduct they are to adhere to. When a customer calls a rescue inhaler to be refilled nearly 3 hrs prior and is told it’s going to be at least an hour , possibly longer before it’s finished. It’s natural for the customer to ask if it’s possible at all to get it sooner when they are wheezing and need it.
In return the female answers in super condescending snide voice how they do have other customers and i will have to wait until they get to it. In return I did call her a rude Bee not because she couldn’t help because she was talking like one. My voice is hoarse so maybe that annoyed her but I certainly wasn’t rude to her. My daughter goes there, specifically asks for it and when they ask name and bday , the young lady at register starts making these breathy sighs. They sent my daughter out with everything EXCEPT the rescue inhaler! That’s so SICK! Customers beware calling this one on her rude attitude she might just try to take you out!
Allyson gave me the very best customer service. I drive past two other pharmacies to come to this one and I will continue to do so. Thanks Allyson, for being efficient, friendly, and warm.
