  1. This location is a joke. For almost a year now they’ve been closing nightly from maybe midnight, maybe 1:00 am, maybe 2:00 or 3:00 until maybe 4:00 am, maybe 5:00 maybe 7:00 am. No rhyme or reason as far as I can tell but I’ve been told their “system goes down.” I get updating software and having some issues for a period of time but this is just the new reality of our neighborhood drug store. For a company as large and well established as CVS I can’t imagine a scenario where they wouldn’t want to solve this major issue. There is a 24 hour Walgreens and a 24 hour market street both in close proximity to this store but other than those stores there’s nothing else in town open overnight except for gas stations. I would imagine the amount of potential revenue this location DOESN’T generate due to their nightly “closing” would be ample incentive to district management to get some IT guys in there and fix this issue. I’ve worked in this store as a vendor during these “closings” and I am almost positive that all the regularly scheduled employees remained on the clock during the nightly closings so I imagine the store is not performing well financially. Because we live so close to this store we regularly are forced to go here and during the day is used to be pretty good but the other day I was in there and they had buckets and tubs all over the store to catch water dripping through the drop ceiling. It seems to be in complete disarray. I’ve told my wife so many times “I’m going to write a scathing review on something” but I always would blow it off and go on about my business. Earlier in the day my wife had seen a Dr. and when asked where to have a very important and much needed Rx sent she logically replied, “to our neighborhood CVS, since they’re open 24 hours.” She tells me her script is ready and I wrapped up what I was doing and headed straight to the pharmacy only to see some janky sign “Temp Rx Hours: Monday-Friday: 8am-11pm(but the second 1 was originally a 2 that someone had just scribbled a 1 over.” If y’all are going to be closing so sporadically can y’all at least update your hours online and/or the CVS website AT LEAST? I don’t know if district management is aware of the incompetence and sheer laziness of management and employees in this store but if you are shame on you. It’s shameful to say the very least and I would be ashamed to be the district manager of this store. Do your jobs. Don’t advertise yourself as a 24 hour store and pharmacy please because you’re not and havent been in some time and seem to be making no effort to be again. Anyway, rant over. But y’all suck, for real.

  2. the two employees early morning on Sunday went out of their way to help me just the right amount without hovering. very pleasant, store was clean, as well as the excellent customer service 😊 i only wish i had asked their names because they for sure deserve recognition.

  3. TLDR: If you can’t get ahold of someone at the pharmacy, call the 800 number and they’ll actually help. Or just switch to Walgreens 🫢

I’m really disappointed with this location’s pharmacy. I know it’s not necessarily the fault of anyone working there, but that they’re severely understaffed.

It’s been a little over 2 weeks that I’ve needed a very important medication. They said on 10/24/22 it was out of stock at all their locations in Lubbock, but would have it on 10/28/22. I waited and reached back out after no update, but this store is extremely difficult to get a hold of. Even going to the pharmacy, the line is minimum 30 min each time (inside and drive thru).

After finally talking to someone, they said they’d find a generic version. Waited again, its now 11/8 and they didn’t pick up. CVS customer service has been very kind and helpful in trying to sort out out finally, but I would avoid the hassle of this location in general. Although, even the service representative was on hold with them for an unreasonable amount of time.

If you do find yourself in the same situation, call the 800 number and they’ll be way more helpful.

  4. I made an appointment for a vaccine today. I arrived at CVS two minutes early but had to wait in line (the pharmacy was busy, this is understandable). When I got through the line I checked in with a member of the pharmacy staff and was told to wait in the vaccine area. After waiting for over TWO HOURS (the pharmacy was about to close at this point), I got back in line and asked if I could finally get my shot. This staff member denied that I had ever checked in, but gave me the shot after some argument. No apology for the long wait was given. Very unprofessional service. The only reason they get two stars instead of one is because they were so busy this evening. I get that you may be understaffed, but two hours? And no apology? I don’t get it.

  5. I went into this location this morning for the very first time to get my prescriptions filled after a long night at the ER. I was not greeted when I walked up to the counter. I stood there for a while. A man working in the back said “we will be with you in a minute.” I waited for a while and then a lady walked up and let me know that I would not be able to have anything filled until after lunch. It was around 8:40am. She did not greet me, she did not ask to help, she was very curt. It did not feel the least bit welcoming. I walked off to let my partner know that I could not getting anything filled until after lunch. I walked back to the counter (no other customers were at the counter during any of these times) and waited for 4-5 minutes. I handed her the slip to have my medications filled. She entered the medications. I asked for pricing. She read off prices of two of the medications. I asked her to read off the third. Instead of reading it off to me, she let me know that she had already read it. I told her I would like to know the price. She read it off rudely and then walked off. I was unsure if we were done or anything. I walked off to a nearby area to find my partner. I told him that I had experienced horrible customer service. She came to the counter and shouted from the counter to the area I was shopping that I could go to another store and listed off several locations. I let her know that I would need my meds filled in a CVS location because of my prescription plan and that this one was nearby my home, that I would not be going to the other locations she shouted out. I do not know her name. She was an African American woman with very very long hair. She made me feel very unwelcome and had very poor social skills/customer service skills. I do not usually leave a review but this was unacceptable service.

    This pharmacy is AWFUL!!
My daughter got prescribed a few different things and they gave me the wrong things!!! Then when I came to get it fixed they were completely rude and still couldn’t figure out the issue. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!!! We have used it for years since we live close and I’d rather drive hours to a different one vs come here again. They put my 17months olds health at risk because they don’t know how to follow correct orders.

This is THE WORST CVS in Lubbock. My prescription was set to be ready at 1:30 today. I came after work to pick it up (6ish). There was a line in the drive thru so I went inside. There was a line forming there too. Only one pharmacist and one Tech at the store. My prescription wasn’t ready. I was told it wouldn’t be ready today because they were too busy. I said I needed it today and asked if they could transfer it. They said no but they could put it on pause so I was able to pick it up at a different CVS. I went to 3 CVS across town before I found one that had the medication in stock. Unfortunately, even there, they couldn’t even fill my prescription because this pharmacy had never put it on pause. The pharmacist and pharmacist Tech at that CVS tried calling this CVS to ask them to pause the prescription and were on hold for 30 minutes. I drove back to this CVS and was finally, after an hour and a half of driving around the town like a crazy person, able to get my medication. ThNEVER coming back here. Their pharmacy is majorly understaffed

Literally the WORST pharmacy ever. 3 days to fill a prescription! They say it will be ready at a certain time, then it never is. They keep pushing it back. And to send a notification that tells you to indicate if you need your prescription urgently. And I do so, then the estimate pick up time is pushed back a day! Just the worst.

I have awful experience after awful experience. The pharmacy techs have no idea what’s going on. Nobody likes to answer the phone and above that I’ve driven across town for a prescription that I was told by the CVS system was ready that turned out not to be ready until 3 days later. They should take lessons from Chick Fil A on how to get things done. Also just because they are busy doesn’t give them an excuse to do whatever they want

This place seriously has the rudest customer service ever! If you don’t like engaging with customers don’t be in this industry. Seriously! Basically thrown my prescription at me and walked away. No thank you have a good day. Awful!

Wednesday 11/23/22 around 11:30 am-ish. Whoever the female with dark hair who is running the drive thru for the pharmacy has probably one of the worst attitudes and behavior I have ever seen whenever dealing with pharmaceutical employees. For someone who is being “the face” of this company shouldn’t scoff and throw a huge attitude at someone who’s trying to just get their prescription. After pulling over the to the side, since it wasn’t ready whenever they said it was going to be (20-25 mins after), and wondering if I did anything wrong to receive such lack of decent respect, the attitude she gave to not one, but three more cars was super unprofessional. Considering tomorrow is Thanksgiving, it was super mind-boggling that such behavior was even portrayed.
I have now learned HEB Pharmacy is probably one of the best pharmacies in the state of Texas.

Called the CVS pharmacy to have a prescription sent over from UMC per UMC pharmacist. I don’t remember the name of the girl I spoke to but she was very rude and unprofessional. She told me that what UMC had told me was incorrect and “she would know because she works in the pharmacy”. Told me I could speak to the pharmacist manager and that I could give him the same attitude I gave her. He picked up and informed me that they could but they didn’t have the item in stock but he didn’t care at all about how his employer provided customer service. He just wanted to be done with the call already. Called the CVS on 34th and Marsha and they happily fulfilled my request that the first pharmacist said was incorrect with no problem. Won’t go here again.

Are your meds overrated and is your pain the best part of your day, then shop here! There is a good reason why this rating is 2.3, it’s bc Google doesn’t allow 0 stars so they have an inflated rating. This place consistently doesn’t have meds in stock and they take FOREVER to get meds filled. My old CVS had a policy that if you came in the store they would get your order within 15 min but thisCVS clearly doesn’t follow that policy. They tell you a time and then when you show they say it will be another hour, and they will KEEP DOING THAT!. Just string you along. If you have time to waste and love to wallow in pain, this place is for you!

Just look at the othe reviews. They’re all true. You just can’t count on this store. The pharmacist running the show definitely needs help and probably less responsibility. Meds are really important in some cases. And yes, I actually had to say that meds are sometimes important bc they don’t seem to know or care.

This pharmacy is not there to help customers. One tech even told me my doctor didn’t want me on a medicine because they couldn’t reach him to refill it. They’re so rude. My doctor had a prescription sent here so it would be less expensive. Then, this store started sending me to another CVS across town because they can’t get the medication from one store to the other in ANY amount of time. They’ll say they’re ordering an essential medication. Then, you trust that only to find out nobody ever ordered it. It’s scary to trust them with your life…maybe a skin cream but not medicine you’ll need to live. It is sad they’re so dishonest and unkind. This store is close and I would have loved to have them be my pharmacy.
