This pharmacy frequently bills insurance incorrectly and is late filling orders. We have been without vital medication for more than a week because of errors the pharmacy technicians keep making. Juneau Drug or Costco Pharmacy are both far better options.By Erik Peterson (5 months ago)Consistently good. We have been patronizing this Pharmacy for 20+ years and they’ve given us excellent care. When we were stuck down south they worked with the pharmacist in that city to get emergency prescriptions for us. Whenever we’ve had questions they are prompt and thoughtful- when I went to Hawaii I wanted to figure out what created my sun sensitivity, and they had excellent recommendations. We’ve had some medical scares and they’ve always had the quick pain killer filled, or anti biotic (depending on which scare) and been right there for us. Their hours are quite lengthy with 7 days a week access. I compared my diabetic supply prices to two other locations recently and they were the best. Due to their large size they always seem well stocked too. And I like the quick notifications when our medications are ready for puck up.

One time they could not fill my prescription because they had run out of the medication. Instead of turning me away they gave me enough to get through a couple days until their shipment came in. I like the automatic texting system so I know things are ready before making the trip. If I were to complain about anything? I’d say they need to wash their scrubs more often and maybe wear the proper size. It would look more professional. Nobody there seems to be able to get scripts write for vital prescriptions (insulin). Furthermore, the new female pharmacist is beyond rude and takes no consideration for you being the “customer!” She could care less what your concerns are! They have so many customers that customer service goes right out the window. If you want to feel like you are cared for, do not go to Fred Meyers pharmacy. I live in a remote area so Ron’s staff member let me know I have to pay for shipping and offered USPS or by private shipper. Of course that’s fine. However, they NEVER mentioned that Ron’s ALSO charges a delivery fee on top of the USPS or private shipper fee. I paid Ron’s for what I was told was the shipping fee and then was surprised when I had to pay the shipping company separately. The private shipper explained that Ron’s charges for shipping on top of the shipping company. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have known. I called Ron’s but they were unsympathetic. Bad practice. When I come in, everyone knows my name and says “hello” and someone is on what I’m there for. I’ve had special requests of products to be added with my presecriptions and they always have them ready for me and always ask if there is anything else I need. Just a fantastic pharmacy. Only downside is that they are closed on Saturday’s, but I just make sure to call refills in with plenty of time to pick them up before a weekend. Thanks Gang!
