I came here to pick up a UPS package. I had come into the store once and called like four different times across two days only to keep being told to check back later and to call UPS again, even though UPS was reporting that it had been delivered to this location already. When I called for the final time, Jesus picked up and confirmed there was no package in my name up front, but then offered to check the pharmacy as well–where it ended up being! It was a guitar that I had bought myself as a Christmas present on sale, and filing a lost package claim would have sucked because I wouldn’t have been able to get the same one at that price again. So Jesus totally made my week, thanks for going the extra step–5/5 stars for him, incredibly friendly and efficient!By Sam (a month ago)Walked in to use restroom and was going to make a purchase. Restroom had a sign up that said out of order. I asked the employee where they go to use the restroom and he said the customer restroom is out of order. Not acceptable. I am type 2 diabetic and this is highly discriminatory. Corporate needs to be aware of this.By Don Little (4 months ago)One of the best conversations to an employee named Alyssa in the pharmacy. She helped me to understand each aspect of the question I asked. She is a very patient and understanding employee. I hope the rest of the staff at CVS are as committed to their job as she is. Customer service is the biggest part of a company, and I think we could all learn from Alyssa how that would be handled in the future. Thank you Alyssa.By William Yerke (7 months ago)Today I went into CVS attempting to pickup a Moneygram to get a few last minute necessities to prepare for the hurricane. After standing in a long line at the customer service at the AR rd Wal-Mart I was told that they weren’t doing any money services & would be closing at noon (mind you it was 11:40) as I was leaving I attempted to call the Wal-Mart by the highway patrol but, they were not answering their phones so, I proceeded to drive to the Waldo rd location where I was turned away at the doors at 8 mins till noon & spoken to terribly by their staff. When I arrived at CVS I ended up speaking with the store Manager John who was so unbelievably kind to me & attempted to help me pickup my Moneygram which unfortunately I was unable to do b/c it was sent via Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart & could only be cashed at a Wal-Mart but, the kindness & compassion he showed me truly meant so much & honestly restored some of my faith in humanity after the experiences I had had that day. John is a good man & CVS is lucky to have him representing their company! He really tried to help me in my time of need & for that I am so grateful.By Messy Jessie (5 months ago)Always have a great experience with Jesus and Suzanne at this store!!! Their website says covid test results in 1-2 days. It’s been 4 days and i still haven’t got mine. I needed it for travel and i missed my flight. I also called The minute clinic team and they were so unhelpful. When you choose that you need the test for traveling and they know you need to take the test with 72 hours before the flight, there should be a sense of obligation and responsibility to at least do this right. Extremely disappointedBy Damon Erfan Ghetmiri (a year ago)Phenomenal service. I have never met a more approachable pharmacy staff. Thank you.
My prescription was likely expedited due to it being labeled acute, but regardless they were flying through the high demand and getting everyone out quickly.By Steve B (5 years ago)I can always count on CVS for the items I use on a daily basis. Staff is always friendly and helpful with any questions I may have which makes my trip there worthwhile.By Lysette Rivera (a year ago)I can’t say this was necessarily an inconvenience for me, but it took 10 months for me to get my photos from my disposable camera back! Dropped off the camera late July and was told it would be 7-10 days. Honestly I worked at (a different) CVS for a year and half so I know the drill, you gotta send out the camera to a place that has the equipment to develop them. After about two weeks with no call, I went in to check if they arrived yet but they didn’t. I checked in about 3 times up until September and each time it was a “not yet, we’ll call you”. I kind of just gave up and assumed the camera was lost which wasn’t that big of a deal to me considering I didn’t even know what photos were on there in the first place. Fast forward to now, May 2016, and I get a call saying the photos have been there since July??
Again, this wasn’t that much of an inconvenience to me, but if it is to you, keep this in mind.By Emily (6 years ago)the pharmacy department is extremely unprofessional and rude. hung up on me twice and wouldn’t give me the name of who i spoke to.By Stefanie Giampaolo (a year ago)

That’s it for our list of the best CVS in Gainesville FL! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
I have had to move to 3 different parts of Gainesville and have used 4 different CVS’s. This particular location is the worst when picking up medication. They’re unorganized and the last time I was there waited forever for one prescription. Some man who felt he could beg the pharmacist to fill his prescription while EVERYONE waited. It states “We do not fill prescriptions while you wait” which is because EVERYONE had to wait for one person. I have one prescription to pick up today. Going through the drive through. No one wears a mask anymore.
I am sorry for all the previous negative reviews, but my one-time experience was quite different. Needed flu/omicron vaccines but I did not have an appointment. Was previously at Publix and they were very unhelpful. Project deadlines made scheduling difficult. Explained this to Pharmacist (I think she was a Pharmacist). Young blond lady worked me in. Extremely professional and personable. Got my two vaccines (no pain at all). Whether a pharmacist or assistant, this young woman was very good with a sometimes difficult customer (me). I hope others have a similar experience.
I waited at the door of the cvs minute clinic for more than two hours, even if I had an appointment. I don’t understand why not cancel the available time if the wait is so long. This is simply a waste of the patient’s time. In the end, I couldn’t wait any longer, cancelled my appointment, and left. I would advise people who are short on time like me to not go here.
I came here for a flu shot after work (5:30 pm). Barely had to wait at all, and it was done by 5:38, quick and easy. The store itself is way nicer than most CVS locations, with a much bigger skin care/vitamin selection than most. No clue what all the one star reviews are about, people with a bee in their bonnet, I guess!
I don’t know what happened to this cvs. It used to be great with plenty of helpful people and quick and easy service. For the last 6 months every time I call I am on hold for at least 30 minutes now. The staff I do talk to are generally very unhelpful and sound stressed and overworked. I feel bad for the people who work there and don’t blame them as this seems to be a management issue as they simply need to hire more people. Today was the last straw. I called to resolve a medication issue for my son and was on hold for 30 minutes and the system then booted me out without me ever talking to a single person. I then called the front desk of the cvs store to at least to talk to someone. He did not know how to transfer me to the pharmacy so he asked me to call the pharmacy again and he would go back and talk to them. I have now been on hold for another 40 minutes without anyone picking up the phone. I have been patient for 6 months but I think I am done now. We have been using this pharmacy for 9 years but we will now be transferring our medications to somewhere else. If you are considering using them… stay away!!!!
