Not inclusive or respectful about their transgender clients. When picking up prescriptions was told there wasn’t a prescription for my brother. When we assured the staff there was. We were very disrespectfully asked “ what’s her other name?” by the doctor and tech. His file has been marked with his name for 2 years now. We will be looking to move our business elsewhere.By Madison Hoge (7 months ago)Horrible customer service. I had a UPS drop off. Nicole stated that I would receive a text confirmation or email. I gave her my phone number.I never received a text. She told me that it may come in in an hour. I called after not receiving the confirmation. She told me over the phone that she would most likely need to rescan it. I called the store four times no one answered. I called the pharmacy and had them transfer me to the front still no one picked up. When I got in the store the girl at the register told me they did not answer the phone because they had a lot of people in the store. Nicole told me when she came to the front that no calls went through( as in the phone never rang).I drove across town to speak to her to ask her if there was anything I needed to do to ensure I received a confirmation. She had a horrible attitude did not apologize or tell me anything besides “it’s not on our end”. I asked if I could talk to a manager to make sure that my package actually was going to be received. She told me her manager was just going to tell me the same thing that she told me.Very disappointed not only in the service but in the manner that she spoke to me. And the fact that I had to drive across town for a store employee To tell me it’s not on our end with no further information to see if the package was received or would be received. She also stated that I would need to take it up with UPS. I cannot call UPS to track a package that I don’t have a tracking number/confirmation number for. If my package is not received to where I shipped it to I will inquire about additional investigation because this entire process was very suspicious. She did not offer any additional assistance or options besides repeatedly stating that it’s not on her end.Lastly, not only was that a waste of my personal time at 7:30 at night but the additional stress and anxiety because of the poor customer service and communication was simply just not necessary and inexcusable. I honestly wish I would’ve checked the Google reviews before visiting the store. If I would have done so before I definitely would’ve chosen a different location. This sounds like this may be a corporate issue not only with staffing but with management.By Jae blue (a year ago)For years I have used you and been very happy, but unfortunately you have decided to loose your focus on the customer and are only thinking of your own agenda. I tolerated having to wait at the drive up window to the pharmacy and waiting for15 minutes until someone finally came to help me, learning from that I stopped using the drive up and started coming into the store for my medications and I tolerated waiting in line for over a half hour before someone was free to get me my prescriptions. Now tonight, I stop into the store at 8:25 pm with a prescription that I needed filled and I am told that you need an hour to process the order and you close at 9 pm. From my point of view you had four people working in the pharmacy, and one person could not have taken 5 minutes to count out 40 pills. I was dismissed so casually. You have now lost my business and I hope others who have had the same experience will also find a store that thinks of their customers first.By ed bents (6 years ago)Front store manager is absolutely horrendous. Refused to give prices that were posted by store personnel until I had gotten upset. She kept raising her voice at me while I was trying to tell her what was marked at a % off. She proceeded to call my mom and I a Bit** and use multiple profanities in front of my 1 year 9month old until my child started screaming and crying.
I highly do not recommend this location to anyone who wants to be treated like a human being and have store policies honored.
I will be escalating this to corporate as the store manager so rudely pointed us to do if we had a problem with the way she ran HER store.
She also refused to acknowledge store policies that were brought to her attention and proceeded to ignore me and roll her eyes and refused to give the name for her district manager.By Rachel Arneson (2 years ago)I went to get a flu shot on Friday and was told it would be an hour wait to get it because they were short staffed so I asked to schedule a time to do it. He said no problem and we booked the time for Monday. I come back at the scheduled time and I was told the same thing. They were short and it would be an hour wait. It would be understandable if I had not previously scheduled a time with them. With my busy schedule, it’s tough enough to find time to get my flu shot so this is just unacceptable since I had to re-arrange my schedule to come back. I have been a loyal customer for them for many years now. They will not be getting any of my business again.By Kristen Jones (3 years ago)

One person in line ahead at pharmacy who took 15 minutes after I showed up to finish up… While getting to the front of the line they pull a curtain that says they are closing for lunch so come back… later.
Came back a few hours later, one person already in line ahead, waited 15 minutes before being able to talk to anyone.
By Tom Vogl (5 months ago)I live around the corner from this CVS and have shopped here for 5 years. I don’t typically have any issues, but today when I went in I picked up batteries which were on the rack in front of the red tag, and proceeded to walk to look at some snacks then back to the self-checkout area. The manager watched me the ENTIRE time then proceeded to ask me if I still wanted the batteries. I held them up in my hand (I had no other items and in no way was concealing them) and stood in front of the self checkout saying I had to check out. I told him I knew that and asked if the self checkout wasn’t working and he said he closed it down because they were closing (they had 30 more minutes before close but whatever). I checked out and left then returned to tell him that treating a customer like they’re trying to steal something was not the way to work and that talking to people like they’re thiefs wasn’t the way to talk to customers either. He then tried to tell me that I was supposed to ask for help with batteries not rip them off the rack. I told him I didn’t rip anything off because it was in front of the red tag and I just picked them up. He told me I still needed to ask for help, and I asked him if even though the batteries I needed were sitting right there I needed to find someone in the store to pick them up and hand them to me? He said “I think the answer to that would be yes.” So after clearly accusing me of doing something I didn’t even do (remove the batteries by ripping the tag), and me telling him that wasn’t the case rather than apologize he doubled down to say I needed to ask someone to pick up an item off the shelf and hand it to me instead of picking it up for myself. He also tried to tell me he didn’t say the things he said about telling me I had to check out and turned away to mess with the self checkout.
Hard to believe someone like that is the manager. I won’t be returning to CVS. Walgreens or Hyvee work just as well and don’t treat their customers like garbage. If he thought I was doing something wrong, he was behind me watching me and could have easily just walked up and asked “do you need assistance with the batteries,” and saved this whole mess. Instead he acted creepy by staring at me while I was there and then rude via his abhorrent communication.By Julia Johnson (4 months ago)Maybe it was just a bad day for them, but I made an online appt for a Covid booster, got there after my 30 minute drive only to find a sign on the door that said they were closed. I saw a few cars at the drive thru window so drove around and was told there that the system was down and they would call me when it was back up. I cancelled the appointment and went to HyVee Drugtown on Blairsferry. Everything seemed a little odd about the entire scenario.By Maggie CMW (5 months ago)Employee at the pharmacy looked right at me waiting in line and continued to ignore me for 5 minutes. Employees continued to talk to their friends instead of assisting customers. Don’t come here unless you have time to wait.By Titanium (5 months ago)Best pharmacy around. Even being short staffed, they still have orders ready pretty quick. Everyone’s nice and who doesn’t love CVS?!By Heather Lacher (3 months ago)

That’s it for our list of the best CVS in Cedar Rapids IA! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
The first time I went in there the district manager was super sweet when he found out I was new to the area. He walked around and help me find what I needed because I was so lost and that store. Since then I have had zero help even when I ask and the employees seem to gossip and talk more than actually work. The market restaurant area has fairly good food and the staff is pretty great but that is all I will go into that store for. I would rather go to HyVee on Edgewood Road and then go here again.
My go to store when hyvee has 6pk mnt dew on sale. Very friendly staff; especially the older ones that have been there since I can remember!
Staff was friendly and helpful durning checkout.
Tiny little Hy-Vee but the employees are all very nice. Store is always clean.
Fast friendly services. Didn’t have to wait to long to get all my kids prescriptions filled.
