The CVS itself is decent. Clean and has 3 self checkout stations. Huge parking lot, so never an issue there. FYI – they close at 10pm and they are not 24/7By A Porat (4 months ago)It says online and on the door 24hrs but they put a hand written note on the door closed at 10pm. I had this happen at another CVS and I called and they answered and they said next time knock. Well I knocked here and nobody came. Hand written signs are unprofessional and not updating hours online or on the door shows these people don’t care about anyones time but their own.By Chainz Stewart (4 months ago)The person at the pharmacy was rude and unhelpful. We went through the drive thru for a COVID test, was given the kit without so much as a word from the person, and after waiting at least 10 minutes for instruction, someone else came through the drive-thru and was helped immediately. After asking for instruction they asked sarcastically if we needed instruction? Even though the signs on the drive-thru say that they will give you instruction… Finally as I was struggling with my son to get him to follow directions, the person in the pharmacy told me they needed to stop yelling and press the button if I needed help… this person clearly was not paying attention to who they were supposed to be helping and what our needs were / what was going on. They were very presumptuous and had a terrible attitude. The only reason I came to this location was because the location I have gone to in the past had to cancel our test. Will not be going backBy Andrea Moore (5 months ago)Had a billing issue with insurance, called and came in multiple times and was told different things by different folks. Finally came in and spoke to someone who understood how to help us, we were polite and friendly and she was incredibly rude and spoke to us in a demeaning tone as if we were stupid for not understanding an insurance billing issue that 5 other people couldn’t help us with. I’ve worked in costumer service so I can understand the stress but this was just plain mean. Also they have basically a moat of trash around the building but that’s neither here nor there.By Evelyn Sparks (5 months ago)I’ve been coming here for years. The pharmacy is great. They call me to remind me when it’s time for my annual shots. They work with you on the insurance. The store is well-stocked. The staff is courteous and helpful at all times.By Jean Frank (3 months ago)

The ladies in the pharmacy are horrible. Do not waste your time coming here. They pick and choose who they want to ask certain questions to and have you go from window to window just to get your prescription AFTER you’ve already waiting in another line.By Allison Haynes (3 weeks ago)Most disgusting CVS bathroom I’ve seen. Smelled like rotting deathBy Matt D (a month ago)Absolutely disgusting. The parking lot is always littered with trash, the trash cans are overflowing, they use the photo area for bulk storage, and the place is just dirty. I can’t imagine this is the look CVS wants for their stores.By Trey C (a year ago)Charged me $105 for a prescription that I got for $16 at HEB. Don’t know why anyone would buy their meds here. Also CVS should look into discrimination at this locations hiring practices. As an asian myself, it’s extremely suspicious that every single one of their employees just so happen to be the same race.By JB (2 months ago)Worst pharmacy customer service. I got there before they closed and a customer in front of us had to read off an entire script only to leave with nothing. As soon as we pulled up, they shut their blinds. I ran inside and told them I was there before 8pm and all but one lady refused to help me. As she approached me, the person who appeared to be the manager said out loud, “BOY WOULD I LOVE TO GO HOME RIGHT NOW” and stared at me. I just wanted to medication. I didn’t want that disgusting response. Never have I ever received that kind of customer service before.By Angeliq Flores (9 months ago)

That’s it for our list of the best CVS in Austin TX! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
Kind staff and good selection for the slightly smaller, older store that it is.
The CVS app pay worked great! — which I can’t say for all CVSs.
Btw, “Open 24 hours” means the store, NOT the pharmacy, so don’t misunderstand, as other reviewers have done.
Given all the one-way streets in Austin, this store was especially easy to get into and out of.
CVS is located in east riverside, so you know it’s not going to be the cleanest CVS. Still shop here from time to time. There are always shopping baskets and both self check stations work fine
Any time you call the pharmacy the hold time is long which is understandable since they are under staffed. What’s unacceptable is them hanging up on you once you do finally get through.
It’s always a miracle to me that there are so many CVS’s in the country, as they are always unfailingly one of the worst retail experiences in America. I came here for passport photos, which apparently are broken (I saw someone taking totally functional passport photos last week). The whole place is just such a clusterf**k is honestly sad.
Do not use self check out!!! People ring stuff up and leave then when you use it you get charged and it takes 20 minutes for the cashiers to find the items you were falsely charged for and refund you. Stay away!!!
