  1. I went to the ER on Friday evening having very serious pain on my left side. After they took blood and ran a bunch of other tests to see what the problem was. Come to find out it was my gallbladder and I had it removed Saturday evening and from there on out the whole TEAM THAT WORKED ON ME FROM THE TIME I ENTERED THE ER AND THE SURGERY PART THEY ALL DID A WONDERFUL JOB AS A TEAM. SO I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO WAS INVOLVED IN MY RECOVERY. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. GOD BLESS YOU ALL FOR ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT

  2. I set myself on fire in a welding accident so I went to the ER. Though the hospital was not equipped for burn treatment my nurse Nini was very helpful and very sweet! She did a great job in taking care of me. Dr. AJ was very thorough and he did the best he could in helping manage my pain which was rather excruciating. They did a great job. Some people don’t give people in the medical field the respect they deserve. These guys were amazing and though I don’t recommend finding your way to the emergency room I do hope if it ever happens you find yourself in their care.

  3. I went to Union ER on November 30th per advisement of my PCP at the time. After being checked and blood draw completed I was told I needed to provide a sample and was asked if I needed to use the restroom then. I stated I did. After holding it waiting for the sample cup that they were bring right away for close to three hours I went to the nurses station who provided the sample cup. After returning to my room which had no television bed was a gurney that did not adjust I waited five hours before noting I would be leaving. Five hours of no contact from anyone on staff. This was after being told I was severely dehydrated and my potassium and magnesium was dangerously low. There was no call button in the room. They stated they felt admitting was needed but then stated I would waiting 2-3 days or more for a bed to open up. I left noting on the AMA paperwork I didn’t feel waiting days for a bed to open up was reasonable. My levels continued to drop and I was again advised to go back. Again minimal care or treatment. Was again told I needed to be admitted but would have to wait days for treatment when one became available. They then documented in my medical chart that I was non compliant with treatment and only left because I didn’t want to be admitted. As a result Dr. Martis from Iliana medicine dropped me as a patient as she works under a union affiliated office. They falsified my medical records resulting in my losing my medical provider and appearing like someone who doesn’t follow medical orders virtually blackballing from getting a new primary care physician.

  4. Dirty. ER room floors were filthy, sticky and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days. Someone else’s blood on bedside table.
I’ve seen gas station restrooms cleaner than the restroom in the lobby. Unacceptable Union hospital. Unacceptable. On the positive side. The ER staff we kind and attentive for the most part.

  5. Sitting here in my room (4176) waiting for a real answer to the question “when will Rhonda be discharged?” My nurse is amazing. That fact is what makes this a tolerable day. I have talked to someone from several disciplines, the final a doctor who saw me for five minutes during my stay and then we wait. 3+ hours later I started asking questions. One particularly nerve bending statement “it’s up to your nurse and doctor to get you discharged . Case managers have no say about discharges. We can’t just wave our wand of magic fairy dust to make things happen. Said she could only help with post discharge issues. In the many years that I practiced Nursing, I never threw my fellow Nurses under the bus in such a cowardly and unprofessional manner. Medical professionals need to pull together and support each other and their patients. Last I heard I will be discharged today. Hope there is enough fairy dust to go around!

I’ve had the pleasure of being assigned to Dr. Chatterjees patient list when my doctor left and I can’t say enough nice things about him. An absolutely wonderful doctor with a sincere bedside manner. The staff are great people too, always friendly.

Very pleased with my visit today. But if I had one complaint, it would be when there’s a flu virus going around and your sicker than all get out at home I don’t feel like getting dressed and going to the doctor.. I would rather them to call me a prescription out that my husband can pick up.

Doctors, nurses, medical assistants are all very respectful of patients and actually listen to your concerns. They get me in to see someone pretty much at a moments notice when I have a medical issue! No complaints!

I am impressed with the efficiency of my visit today. Checking in through the follow up everyone was spot on with knowledge and politness and personal care and virtually no waiting. Wow, and Dr Fritch was on time, as ususal, but instead of being first my appointment time today was late morning. That gets another wow! Thanks!

I was hesitant to go someplace that doesn’t require appointments, but they advertise as general medicine and confirmed they could help me with my specific needs. This was the first provider listed as in-network by my insurance when I search for primary care, and I didn’t have to wait for a scheduled appointment, so I figured I would go.
I called the day before to ask if they do primary care general checks and if they can help with allergies. They said yes. My health insurance app also said this.

Came in next day, waited over an hour and a half even though I was assured multiple times by multiple people that there were only 2 people ahead of me.
I had to pay $30 for a copay even though my copay is $0 (they didn’t check this and said $30 is standard, if I paid too much I should call back for a refund after insurance has been processed).

I made it very clear I was here for a primary care/ preventative health and to discuss allergies at every step of the process.

Here’s a breakdown of my timeline:

    4:10 arrive
    4:15 get tablet for questionnaires
4:30 pay, return tablet, get sent to car. They said only 2 people in front of me so shouldn’t be too long
4:55 pre screening call. Told to keep waiting in car
5:16 called to come in to exam room
5:25 someone comes in to get vitals (no idea who because they didn’t introduce themselves)
    5:45 Provider comes in
    5:54 Provider and I leave

I said I was here to establish primary care, for a preventative check, and that I had recently taken in a stray cat and have bad allergies that I was hoping someone could help me with. He told me the solution is to get rid of the cat, which while he said mostly joking (I think) was rather dismissive and not very helpful. When I asked what medical options there might be, he said I could go to an allergist and when I asked if he had an allergist he recommends he said no. Then said he could refer me to Indy but surely there is someone in the town who knows anything about allergies.
He refilled my prescriptions and gave me a script for allergy meds.
I made it very clear that I was new to the area and wanted to establish primary care and get preventive health check. He listened to my heart and that’s it, he didn’t look into my ears, eyes, nose, throat etc. He offered me blood work which I decline because I got that when I was hospitalized last May (which he didn’t ask about but that’s okay). He didn’t mention my weight or recommend weight loss (which I need). No one mentioned anything out blood pressure so I assume that was okay?

Exam room has random stuff in it. Bathroom was dirty. The doctor was polite and willing to refill my prescriptions. But for the wait and time spent, I’ll go elsewhere next time. Doc spent 10 minutes with me, if there were truly just 2 people in front of me, I have no idea what could have been wrong with them that it took over an hour and a half to be seen. I suspect they weren’t truthful with me about how many people were in front of me, or it’s not a particularly efficient operation. I supposed I could have ask for more, but after almost 2 hours from start to finish with only 10 minutes with the doctor, I was ready to be out of there.

Maybe I’m not very good as this whole “adulting” thing, but I assumed if my insurance app said they offered primary care, the facility themselves said they offered primary care, that I would be able to get primary care. If my insurance is billed anything other than preventative health / new patient visit I will be filing a dispute. And for those codes my copay should be $0, so I’m hoping I will receive a refund on the $30 copay they charged rather than checking my insurance. Will update my review if needed.

Terrible customer service. The workers were all scurrying in at 7:59a when they open at 8. First red flag. Came in with insurance and was asked to be billed my copay due to being out of town on business. They use “ we are privately owned”, to their advantage. Being privately owned means there 100% is wiggle room to work with those in need. Called to speak with the manager and now instead of paying a $30 copay I was quoted at the door. she was stating I’d need to pay for my service is full. Parking lot is bare and I’d say it’s because they don’t know how to run the place. Disgusting.

This place has always been great for me, I use it for my family medical needs. Expect to wait, there is a reason they are busy, because it’s a good business. Once you have checked in, ask for a call and go wait in your car or run an errand. It is going to be probably nearly an hour if you go in the afternoon so just be prepared and also be prepared for a great experience when it is your turn.

They sent my antibiotics to a pharmacy that was closed on Sundays (despite me asking if it was, and them saying it was open), then when I asked them to send it somewhere else, they didn’t send it. 20 mins later I called back, and Lyndsey snapped at me that “I just talked to you and I have patients in front of me.” Ok, well the pharmacy goes on lunch break in 15 mins; if you don’t get it in soon I have to go home and not get my medicine. She was absolutely rude.

The doctor was great, the nurses were great, but their secretarial staff was extremely rude. They need to get that aspect of the business under control before they lose patients.

Literally was told we had 30 to 40 minutes to wait to be called back, come to find out after sitting here for 1 1/2 hours and over heard another person say they have been waiting for 2 1/2 hours; we call into the building to be told there’s actually 4 people ahead of us. What place of business sits there and lies straight to your face about wait time? We are mainly here for our kids and just seems like no one ever cares these days about other’s!!! What does a convenient care really stand for?
