Everyone was very caring and kind, from the check-in experience to the actual visit. The doctor took his time and definitely cared about me and wanted to help me feel better. There was a student present as well, and she was very kind and explained things well. The doctor was obviously a fantastic teacher. Awesome team!

Our family are loyal Avera patients and this experience made me very sad, disappointed and angry. My mother received care from this location during urgent care hours who was brought in by my sister-in-law (both non-English speakers). Their experience was rushed, the provider did not thoroughly explain my mothers care and overall felt the experience was terrible where she does not want to go back. She is still not feeling better and wants to wait until she sees her primary care doctor late January (an amazing Avera provider at 69th and Western). Broke my heart to hear from my sister in law and mother that if I would’ve ‘went’ since I often assist with interpreting, they might’ve received better care. Wait time was manageable and friendly greeting by the nurse who had a name tag on unlike the PA? I’m assuming who took care of me. No name tag, no greeting and not very professionally dressed. Received a diagnosis, prescription and quick in and out.
Rachel was excellent with other staff experience just great service with excellent customer skills advice and empathy. The young woman in training is going to be a good CNP. The existing nurse was helping me and actually did not tell me my weight and this is good because I have been losing weight so much. Great care of ALL STAFF.
I checked in at 4:45 pm. I was immediately entered into the system and asked to wait. Withing 5 minutes, I was taken to an exam room. Given the standard weight, BP and Ox level check. Within five more minutes, the caregiver arrived. I was examined and treated. By 5:20, I was on my way to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. It was an excellent visit and the remedy is already helping. Thank you.
I went into urgent care with symptoms of TMD. I was feeling excruciating pain in my right side. The TMJ flare up was so unbearable that I could hardly drive. My vision was getting blurry, my neck and shoulders were locking up, and my sense of balance was off. Upon my arrival, I carefully explained what was going on to the front desk employees. They listened intently, preparing notes for the doctor with pertinent medical history of how my TMD came about. They escorted me to a room for the doctor to assist me. The doctor asked questions, payed attention to what I was describing, and monitored my vitals. I got a clear diagnosis pertaining to my condition. I got immediate treatment. I felt like I was in good hands. Everyone displayed empathy in regards to my condition. Thank you so much!
