There was a sick infant in the waiting room. The mother was told they could not see the child without having an insurance card. The child had Nebraska Medicaid. The intake clerk should have looked up information or called Medicaid instead of turning away a sick baby. On a side note, my child was taken great care of. The nurse was rude, and very unsanitary. When she took my blood for a mono test, she wasn’t wearing and gloves on top of doing a strep and Covid test on me before hand without washing. The doctor took one look at my throat and prescribed me medication without testing me for the virus. Went to Urgent Care on Saturday, Oct 1st at opening time. Checked in, completed paperwork, and waited 45 minutes, only to be told there wasn’t a doctor available. Tried to go to Quick Care on Sunday, but they were closed. Went back to Urgent care. Was told it would be an hour wait. Waited over 3 hours before finally getting in. Took 4 hours total, 1 doctor, seeing only 1 patient at a time for approximately 25 minutes per patient, before the next patient would be called in. Lousy system.By Teresa F. That doctor didn’t try to gain trust instead grabbed my son and yelled at him to calm down. Then told me I needed to talk to him… HES 3!!! Worst experience ever. Doctor Jodene Burkhart and her entire staff are fantastic.
Yesterday I needed to be seen and the receptionist said they were closing in 12 minutes if I could make it there right away or they open at 7am today.
When I told her I couldn’t make it there right away, she offered to set up a video appointment for right then.
Like I said they are fantastic and a really caring group.
I love Jodene. I followed her from Quick Care because she actually takes her patients seriously. She often resembles my real family doctor and I appreciate that. If I can help it I refuse to go the Quick Care or Urgent Care.

I went to Jodene today to get a refill on my meds since RWPC can’t get me in for a month and a half and refused to refill my meds without seeing me but couldn’t get me in, even though these meds are vital for me. Jodene was very kind and for the first time in my adult life, I felt like I was listened to and valued as a patient. She refilled my prescriptions for me and offered a much better option for my anxiety that no other doctor was willing to even try. Thank you Jodene, for making me feel valued not as just a patient, but as a human being that’s just trying to get by. All the staff was very kind and helpful and the facility was top notch and very clean! Will absolutely be returning next time I want to feel listened to and cared about!
