Jennifer Chaney the nurse practitioner is unprofessional and insulting, it felt like she was just trying to get us out. She answered me and my wife’s questions extremely condescendingly and completely brushed my wife’s needs aside. When we told Jennifer my wife’s symptoms, Jennifer ONLY tested for Influenza and nothing else, and on top of that, gave her NO medication to help. My wife is now in pain with no medicine besides CVS ibuprofen. No antibiotic or anything. It’s almost like Jennifer was just trying to get us outBy Vincent Miller (2 months ago)Not happy. One week. Not doing better than before my visit. They said you have only bronchitis. Sorry I am not better. I have pneumonia. I have to go somewhere else now. Spend more money.By Tony (a month ago)You guys are going down hill with the Dr you have working there and the nurses. I was told my child had hand foot.mouth disease so I got a second opinion from her actual Dr that it’s just a geographic tounge and early that day my fiance was told to go to the er to get his heart checked and all he was is dehydrated even when I asked I was told no its not that. Twice in one day beein told something that’s not even what is happening.By Elaine Vorgias (2 weeks ago)The NP, Julie Ashbacher, almost immediately began yelling/raising her voice at me (though she corrected me and said she wasn’t). She said I should go back to the ER where I waited in excruciating pain for 5 hrs and was still in the waiting room. I said I would not be going anywhere else that evening after waiting for a total of 8 hours that day with no resolve. She said my comment about going home was a threat to her and it was me bullying her into treating me. You have to be a narcissist to think my wanting to go home and sleep was about her.
She said it was bad medicine to give me oral antibiotics and even said it wasn’t the treatment for what I had. I went to another ER the next day and was given oral antibiotics. It was better medicine to her to not treat me at all. She completely lied in her visit summary saying she explained my condition among other things. She also said in her summary that she apologized for the wait in the ER when she actually said that wasn’t her fault. And I wasn’t blaming her but I WAS telling her how my night was going to go.
Her bedside manner is reprehensible and she seemed to have the idea from the beginning she wasn’t going to treat me. This is especially frustrating when the ER doctor the next day did the EXACT same exam she did and prescribed oral antibiotics–which she could have easily done and given me a whole day headstart on treatment.
The nurses and the rest of the staff were great but I can’t recommend this place because of the NP.
By Amanda Hochertz (7 months ago)I went there since it was no an emergent issue. The MOA was nice and had compassion. But the RN with the blondehair in the ponytail with the glasses was snobby and had no compassion at all! The doctor rushed in and hurriedly rushed through my whole visit. I understand that this is prompt care, but to rush through an appt without thoroughly checking you out and seem to be more in doubt about a persons condition is not alright. I will never in my lifetime go to that promptcare on ever again!By Mitt T (a year ago)

I have been here twice now in the last couple of months. Once for a work physical and once when I was having a mild allergic reaction. The office staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was a walk-in patient both times, and it never took very long for them to call me back. Each time, I saw Abby, and she’s always been very kind and attentive. I will definitely be going back here!By Mara Snowman (a year ago)Unbelievable. The Doctor Marry should not be a doctor. When we were talking during the visit she replied to me that the carts I was smoking with medical marijuana was total “Shit”. Those were the exact words that came out of her mouth, also she kept referring back to my medications and was telling me that I was anxious with anxiety, when I calmly told her I wasn’t, and even my blood pressure was at a good range, and that it had absolutely nothing to do with my sinus infection or any part of my visit. So I calmly walked out even the front desk lady looked robotic like it’s happened so many other times with clients. Idk if it was because she was pregnant 🤷♀️. But I know one thing is for sure and that is you do not “treat your patients like shit” but Honestly I wouldn’t even bring my kids around that narcissistic person. Ever. And you know it too Marry.By Sup Happy (a year ago)The only good thing I can say about this facility was that they had the crutches I needed to borrow. The scowl on the receptionist’s face as I hobbled in was quite off-putting and the person who brought out the crutches wasn’t helpful at all. Thankfully the mailman held both doors for me as I tried to make my way back to my vehicle. I’m thankful that my injury was addressed at Unity Point Express where I was treated very well by everyone. I’d give Unity Point Express staff 6 stars!By PJ Hagerdorn (8 months ago)I’ve been going here for many years. I have always had good care. I recently got a primary doctor (felt it was time to have one main doctor) but can’t get into her when I am actually sick. So, back I go to the first care. It’s best if you can call first for an appointment or to check wait times. But, even as a drop in the wait is reasonable and care is good.By Comfy Rock (2 years ago)Was able to get in quickly to see someone when my doctor was unavailable. Called ahead and they will make appointments. That being said, they take walk ins and likely prioritize order to be seen based on the acuity of the patients. It was not busy when I arrived so I had a very short wait. The office staff said I came at a good time as they had been very busy with longer wait times prior to my arrival. I have been here on other occasions and waited nearly 2 hrs to be seen. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This Proctor First Care is part of the Unity Point hospital system and is able to utilize your medical records from doctors and other facilities in their system. They do give the option of seeing their providers as your regular doctor/nurse practitioner, not just for emergencies. This is a nice option considering they have longer office hours including evenings and weekends. It certainly makes it easier to find time to go around my busy work schedule. Would give more stars if wait times were consistently short, however, due to the nature of this business, that cannot be guaranteed.By Julie Cramer (4 years ago)

Literally useless waste of time, effort, and money. Went In with severe ankle injury and was given an X-ray and left being told I would receive the results the next day. Over 24 hours went by and nothing came back so I called and was told they hadn’t gotten the results back and that it was because it was the weekend and they apparently don’t do it on the weekend?? Anyway 10 minutes later I got a call saying it wasn’t broken, and that’s all they said. No recovery time, no next steps, nothing.
I have taken off 3 of my children, grandmother, client , and myself here for multiple reasons at different times. Every single time they send us to the ER and the ER looks at us And wonders why they continue to send petty illnesses to the emergency room. Do not waste your time here they do not know what they are doing of course you will not see the same doctor twice so it seems to be protocol to just send everybody to the emergency room to Waste an entire day I have not even had them prescribe a cough medicine or antibiotic at this office I don’t understand how they are even open but I do understand why the parking lot is always empty
Awful experience. Mary at the front desk was encouraging people to go elsewhere because she did not want to stay one minute past 8pm. (It was only 3:30). She would not tell me if other facilities had less wait times, but when another girl took over she told everyone. It was not quick and easy, it was a nightmare.should have went to the ER. Will never go there again! The employees need training when dealing with sick people or not work with the public!
Waste of time. Went in there to get a physical done for the POWER test for the police academy. The staff went on to say they’ve never done those physicals before and cannot do them for the POWER test. I’ve gone in to the same location 4 times for various departments and a police academy I’ve tested for and had no problem. Staff seemed very unprofessional and unwilling to help. Would rather drink hotdog water to cure any ailments I might have in the future than visit this place ever again.
Never have I felt like I was putting someone out, for doing their job. Which effects my job , since it was for a dot physical. I won’t go back to this particular location again. No it’s not all of the employees really just one.
