  1. My experience at Compass Urgent Care was great . They were professional and friendly. They work well under pressure. They did great considering the acuity of the patients.
They have only 2 hands and 2 feet, not six. My experience from the front desk, from my vital signs being taken by the young lady, the young man who sent me back to room nine, the young lady who swapped my nose, and the young lady who brought my discharge instructions to me to review. The Nurse Practitioner was professional and informative . She was thorough in explaining my diagnosis to me. Based on my subjective and objective assessment, she address those areas medically with prescription and with discharge instructions . She reviewed plan of care with me as well. My prayers are with this practice. May God continue to strengthen and protect you as you answer your call to those who are weak and sick.

  2. I always choose Compass Urgent Care and highly recommend it! The process to check in was made simpler – no waiting in line. Screening for the Big 3 (COVID, Flu, RSV) and waiting for the results was reasonable. The staff was very kind and made me feel welcome. They listened to my symptoms and provided a quick resolution. I was provided with a summary of my visit, information about my symptoms, and prescriptions to take to the pharmacy.

  3. Very impressed with this facility. The staff was professional and friendly. Dr. Carol Parks was extremely thorough and ordered all the right tests. Diagnosed and treated me with the utmost compassion and care. Nice to be treated so kindly when you’re not feeling well. I would highly recommend Dr. Parks and her staff.

    Sincerely,

    Sharron

  4. Compass Providence Urgent Care
Took care of my wife and I by having the whole staff being well trained and knowing what symptoms we had to provide the right care!

They are very kind and considerate!

Thank You Dr. John Rud, Morgan , Whitney and the whole staff!

  5. I’ve been coming here for close to two years now and I don’t want to go anywhere else. This is the best urgent care I’ve been to in Mobile. From the front desk, to triage, to all the nurses and doctors, they are top notch and FRIENDLY. Not one person has ever gotten an attitude like they did to me at American Family Care in Tillman’s corner (which I will never go back to). The staff here truly cares and LISTENS. The facility is also very nice and spacious. Whoever is doing the hiring knows how to pick people.

I’ve gone through two surgeries here and I love the staff. Now I am giving 3 stars because they are money hungry. I remember my first surgery was emergency surgery. While I’m back there sick and overwhelmed their billing staff came back asking about money. They won’t let you schedule an appointment if you owe anything. They don’t care if you’re bleeding out and dying. They will ask for that payment. Now it was a volunteer white lady at the front who was extremely rude my first time. I had to let her have it. But the nurses are superb. I was bleeding and they just took good care of me. But sending a billing person down to a patient’s room is a bit much.

We recently had our first child at Springhill and we were absolutely blown away. Every single person did their job extremely well and then some. They were patient with every question we asked, went into depth to explain answers to questions, and gave as much information as they could always. The lactation specialists helped and explained things so well that my wife felt fully comfortable with everything after the first day. Dr. Lambrecht was our doctor and she was a godsend. If you want the best for your child this is the place.

Rude x2 nurses in the ER yesterday called patient advocate said she was coming never showed up lie. 6 hours later ran my blood work said normal please show that to my doctor I have illness and my blood work has not been normal in 8 years. The VA sent me from Mobile. They don’t like Veterans and don’t like the VA doesn’t pay them enough just listen to the conversation while your there. Thank God I had someone with me as a witness to just how nasty it was. After four hours I inquired about something for pain after 5 hours I asked to see the doctor. The response I received was he will get here when he gets here. When around 6 pm he came in his exact words you don’t have the flu or Covid. I am sending you home in pain with pain meds and antibiotics, then to my friend hope you don’t catch it. So when the nurse comes after another 30 minutes she hands me paper work and he’s prescribed a medication which they already know I am allergic to because they had already asked that information. So if you want lack of care and compassion and being treated RUDE this is definitely the hospital for you. Patient advocate you lied period. My number is working and I need medication that y’all didn’t fall VA procedure so I would get the medication so I am trying to handle that since they were close by the time y’all released me Friday. Secondly you didn’t care enough when I was in your facility to keep your word. My phone works just fine nice try.

My mom had a heart attack a year ago. We went to Spring Hill, we were both terrified. Dr. Charles H. Wyatt had HORRIBLE bed side manor. He was incredibly rude and disrespectful. He told my mom, who was hoping to have a bypass, “I could do the surgery, no problem, I could do it in my sleep- but you won’t live through it.” He left us with no hope and acted as if he enjoyed it. He interrupted my mom when she tried to talk and treated us as if we were so below him.

I’d like to add. That since then, my mom has had a successful bypass surgery at a hospital in Norfolk VA.

I see a lot wrong in this hospital. It would take me a month to explain all the things goned wrong here. With that being said, be very cautious because you want get what you’re paying for. Bring a family member with you, bring blanket, drinks and the list can go on and on. I know hospitals are short on help, but some of them do nothing but sit at the computer, eat and talk. We did have a few wonderful nurses, but a lot of lazy techs. The hospital is very dirty and old, needs a lot of repair. The administration needs to pay attention to some of the things people are saying if they care. This was the best hospital in Mobile when I had my son 35 years ago. Gone so far downhill now.

My experience was very good. I was on vacation ended up with sinus infection. Staff was friendly and Dr. Ryan was great. She ordered a shot of antibiotic and steroid shot plus prescription for antibiotics which on second day I felt much better. I would definitely go back.

Deanna Ryan is an awesome nurse practitioner. She quickly assessed my condition and treated me appropriately. I was feeling better before I left the office. I will definitely be back if I need urgent care services in the future.

I have no complaint about the practice. I have come here on countless occasions for my kids to be seen and for myself and my husband to be seen for various acute illnesses. We LOVE the NP Deanna. She is like seeing an old friend every time. Sweet, courteous, & attentive to our needs. But today I went in for myself for a cough & shortness of breath and was seen by Dr. Susan Jordan, and let me just say I will NEVER come back if she is on duty. Not only did it take 2 hours for me to be seen, she very rudely interrupted me while I was explaining my symptoms and trying to shed some light on what I have been dealing with since the last time I was seen in their urgent care in November (which, surprise! I was seen by Dr. Jordan then, told to treat my respiratory symptoms with OTC meds, but alas over a month later I still can’t breathe!). I am a Registered Nurse, and have been nursing for going on 12 years. I know what I’m talking about. To be told by a doctor that basically there is nothing wrong because I wasn’t experiencing wheezing in that exact moment is absolutely ridiculous. So since you didn’t see or hear the wheezing, you’re not going to prescribe an inhaler or nebulizer treatments? In my 12 years of being a nurse, I have NEVER witnessed a doctor treat a patient the way I was treated today. You do not interrupt a patient when they are explaining their symptoms. I don’t care how busy you are. You cannot make an accurate diagnosis without knowing all of the pertinent information. Hopefully she doesn’t treat all her patients this way.

I had a very nice experience here. All of the staff did their jobs well. Nurse Ashley did well in her assessment and prescribed the meds needed to make me feel better. I would definitely come back to this location.

Spent too long in the back. I thought the NP I saw didn’t believe how sick I was to begin with. He seemed a little flippant, concerned he would be wrong in his diagnosis. He actually said he wasn’t going to x-ray my chest because if it was that serious I would’ve go to the hospital. I told him that if it wouldn’t be so embarrassing I’d be crying, and I’m 68. He then decided maybe he’d better do x-rays. Nothing showed up he said, but he was more serious about treating me and glad to be “right”. He is very nice, and seems competent, but needs to be more humble and understand people aren’t looking down on him because he’s not a doctor. I’m on the meds he prescribed and hopefully make a full recovery.
