Took my husband here because they stay open until 11pm.
The parking lot is actually very spacious!
Due to Covid, I had to wait outside (I opted to be in my car) and that was not bad until I had to use the restroom. I wish I could have been let inside but I managed to hold it until my husband came outside!
I was entertained by the 2 rats that run around the parking lot. I watched them for 3 hours while waiting for my husband.
There is one really fat one with a crooked tail and one skinny and super fast one.My husband was seen pretty quickly (at 8:15pm) but it was the test results that took hours.
He told me all the nurses and doctors were super friendly! Five stars for their care!!The area isn’t the safest but I felt pretty safe in the parking lot. There is enough lighting and traffic coming in and out. Seems like a lot of people Uber.
By Jessica You (5 months ago)The healthcare workers here are amazing. From the check-in staff to the lab technician, everyone other than the physician I saw was very sweet and compassionate. Tammy went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable while I waited to see the doctor. She brought me a heated blanket and consistently reassured me that everything will be okay.As for the physician AIMI, she wasn’t rude, but there were zero compassion. Very matter of fact. I was being seen for lumps in my breasts and afraid I might have cancer and she was very nonchalant about everything. Came in, asked questions, ordered an ultrasound, came back, read the results and told me to follow-up with my primary. No compassion whatsoever about the state I was in.
By Elly Endee (a month ago)This office is a joke. They never call you back to follow up on anything, you have to go thru so many outlets just to reach the correct department and get an answer. They also try to swindle you to pay for an office visit by calling you and saying “the doctor would like to speak with you” without mentioning they are going to charge you an office visit for the call. I’ve never had so many issue visiting a doctors office before and dispute so many charges.By Charles Kim (2 months ago)Since optum bought out healthcare partners the patient care has severely gone down. They discharged my 70 y/o father after he was feeling extremely dizzy. When he went back inside to ask for help the nurse told him he had already been seen.By Jasmin N Hernandez (5 months ago)Patients be aware, primary doctors here are unreliable. Doesn’t matter if you scheduled your Dr appointment a couple weeks in advance, the doctors could just call in anytime they want specially Dr. Yemofio he’s good but never there always an excuse. It’s been 2 months and every time I schedule an appointment doctor just decides to call in without any repercussions. Only good thing optum is good for is urgent care.By erickson fenton (6 months ago)

That’s it for our list of the best urgent care clinics in Los Angeles CA! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
Possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical provider. We took our daughter to get a rapid medical COVID test. It should have been very routine visit. But, instead they kept trying to force us to visit another clinic because I asked if they could take my daughters temperature — even though they had medical staff. I asked them to please just do the test and I can get a thermostat at CVS.
But it gets even better. When they tried telling me to go to their other location they said I could get the same test there, but then the staff started disagreeing with each other about whether that was true. It was a mess.
But there’s more. Then while filling out the patient release form (that I tried telling them I had completed and signed online) a staff member came out and told us we had to leave while they cleaned and we could come back in ten minutes. So my child and I had to wait on the floor in a sketchy stairwell. All we needed was a quick swab. We were the only patients and they had tons of staff, but they refused to help us before cleaning.
I had thought about using them for primary care, but their customer service was awful. One positive is the provider was great.
Great service. New to LA and Carbon Health made it super easy to get urgent care and even set up a primary care doctor. Being 19 and trying to navigate these things alone seemed scary but I felt so comfortable once I found carbon health. The app makes it really easy to schedule appointments and stay in touch with the doctors/ keep up with appointments/ billing/ and test results. Also I’ve been to two of the clinics and they are very clean and have a cute modern vibe compared to docs back home.
Wonderful and amazing staff. Checking in is smooth and Both Joanna (NP) and Brenda helped me feel at ease when I came in for my appointment. I spoke with the NP who also is very helpful and kind. She explained what was going on and what needed to be done. Definitely a great visit. The only gripe is parking can be very tedious but then again that what we get for living in LA. So I advise coming early to looking for parking.
I went to Carbon Health Urgent Care on a Sunday morning. The night before, I fell while running and messed up my shoulder. Getting the appointment was easy. Carrie took such good care of me.. taking my vitals and x-rays in such a caring way. Dr Vanessa was great, too. She has the healing touch, and I left with everything I need to begin the recovery process, including a referral. It was fast, thorough, and accurate. I highly recommend their services.
I rolled my ankle and the next day I went to carbon health urgent care at echo park. I was told that they will charge $145 for a visit and $150 for X-ray. I’m between jobs right now, so I had to do self-pay without insurance and I thought it’s a reasonable price.
All the staff was nice and the PA I met, she was really helpful.
But after the visit, I got charged for $745!
I checked the bill again and it said $145 for the visit and $600 for the X-ray.
I called Carbon Health Echo park and they said the bill was incorrect. They charged multiple times by accident and they said it will be $150 and I will get the money back.
However, even after a few days I didn’t see a refund in my credit card account. So I called again. They said they’re really sorry and they will escalate this problem to the billing center manager. And again, I haven’t heard anything from them.
So I called the billing center. And they said it’s $300 for the Xray. They didn’t even apologize for duplicate charges. They just kept saying it’s per imaging so even though it’s for one foot, $150 for foot and $150 for the ankle.
NOBODY explained to me at the urgent care that it’s going to be per imaging and I’ve never consented to paying $300 for X-Ray. I’m a Registered Nurse so I know that it’s important to explain to the patient what’s going on!
If i didn’t say anything, they would charge me $745 which they told me at the urgent care that it’s going to be $295.
What a load of BS, I mean 300 is fine but it’s not even about the money. What kind of stupid excuses are those? It’s 600, no actually it’s just 150, oh well now it’s 300. And yes it was mistake but oops sorry
I’m really upset about what happened with carbon health and I’m writing a review because hopefully no one will have the same experience with me in the future.
