I wouldn’t take my dying gerbil here worst place ever they don’t care or even try to help you if your sick and dying. Labs need to be done before said appointment. Given the fact that the lab opens at 7 we show up, get labs done and head to internal medicine. My husband goes to check in @ 7:30 and is told your really early for your appointment. Okay, better than late. Was told you can wait, but it could be awhile. Yes we know that. They were honest, professional, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. They made sure every family member was present for every meeting with the hospital staff and every decision that was to be made was completely discussed until all questions were answered. The situation we were in was horrific, but the calm, gentle, and loving staff of Gundersen made this transition for our family the best it could have been.

This is the 2nd time ive had to come to mayo because gundersen hasnt treated me right. Half of my face is in pain from dental related stuff. I just needed antibiotics so my face doesnt swell to the size of a golf ball. Good to know i should just skip gundersen and go straight to mayo from now on as far as the ER goes. Apparently strangers with degrees know my body better than i do. Im the one who has to deal with the pain and swelling but im glad they didnt feel nothing “too bad” its not “too bad” because i caught it ahead of time. Im not trying to wait until i absolutely cant move my face or am in so much pain im crying. My mobility in my face is already impaired because of the swelling. It literally hurts to eat. My dentist cant do anything until the antibiotics run its course and i know my body well enough to know that yes, i have a full blown infection going on. Half my face wouldnt be in pain otherwise. Mayo has literally checked me out and has prescribed me antibiotics and is sending me out the door before i even got done writing this up.By Morgan Christenson (3 months ago)Sitting in a room and hour after triage without anyone even popping their head in to check on a patient is Asinine. A patient waiting for a simple ear infection exam shouldn’t sit more than an hour period 🤷♂️. Wonder why you have poor patient flow, it’s called poor logistics 🤷♂️. And before anyone wastes their time commenting to call y’all customer service line, don’t bother cause y’all will not do anything to change it cause you haven’t for YEARS. I was shipped here from viroqua to have an emergency surgery last night around 10:00 and the staff was so friendly and helpful. really made me feel comfortable and made my experience so much less nerve wracking. they do an amazing job and I’m glad I was able to get the help I needed. Kathlene, the nurse that brought me my socks and grabbed me a nice heated blanket absolutely killed it w the jokes, and made me feel so cozy before the surgery. CRFeedback doesn’t respond. My email keeps getting sent back to me with “the server did not accept your request to connect”. I am trying not to make my complaint public, but Gunderson seems to be encouraging me to do so. Since Gunderson didn’t respond, I am sharing a photo of my flat aesthetic closure mastectomy courtesy of Dr Leroy Trombetta, done 10 months ago. It is obviously neither flat, nor aesthetic and never will be. No one at Gunderson cares or will acknowledge that it was a substandard surgery. I was also left with cording in my arm resulting in pain in my elbow and the possibility of developing lymphedema because 4 healthy lymph nodes were removed for testing instead of one or two. I will live with these issues for the rest of my life. This has very much negatively impacted my life and well being. With a skilled surgeon, things could have been so much better. Chose your surgeon wisely.
Google said in an email that they printed my review, but it doesn’t appear on their site. Perhaps they objected to the photo which is disturbing so I will omit the photo and describe my chest instead. I was left with 2 irregular lumps near the center of my chest, one bulging into a point and the other swirled into a wrinkled lump that has an indentation. Both protrude under clothing and one side of my chest is sewn up in a wrinkled lumpy fashion. Not a normal clean mastectomy and revision surgery would help a bit, but this disfigurement is forever.
I live outside the area and had a bad eye injury this past weekend. The ER staff got me in and did a fantastic job giving me care. Dr Cancel went out of his way to follow up on a Sunday. I am thankful to all of you

I was in a motorcycle accident in Aug 2016 and was airlifted to Gunderson. I don’t have any memory of my stay, but my family does. My family was more then happy with the care I was given. The staff was amazing and very helpful. I live an hour and a half away, but drive here still to this day because of the great care that I have and continue to get. The doctors I’ve seen are truly amazing and I’m forever grateful for each and every one of them.

This experience is from a couple of years ago but it has left a bad taste in my mouth, even to this day. I was in my room after just having given birth to my first baby. He was sleeping and I was lying in bed with my husband next to me, trying to deal with the influx of emotions that come after a delivery. This lady walks into the room to bring me my dinner order and without saying hello stars scolding me about how I ordered too much food! Saying she should have charged me for it but “she will let it go this time”. I was stunned and didn’t know what to say. I think I just mumbled “OK”. She then walks out and my husband and I just stared at each other in disbelief.
I had used the screen to order what I thought was allowed and the system would let me know when I had reached my limit. Apparently it wasn’t functioning properly (?) and she just assumed I was trying to get free hospital food (who doesn’t love hospital food, right…). She could have mentioned it kindly instead of being rude and disrespectful.
I was so upset (and very hormonal) that I cried for the next few hours and, even though the labor and delivery staff were mostly kind and caring, she pretty much tainted my hospital experience.
I’m writing this so that if it happens to anyone else they will report it. I regret that I didn’t and that I didn’t at least get her name – but my main concern at the time was taking care of a newborn for the first time.
Hopefully she doesn’t work there anymore or she has stopped telling off women who have just gone through labor.
