I’ve been going here for years. Even though no one is perfect, I’ve always revived my medications as promised which I was grateful for. Even with the long lines and waiting, I appreciate that I’m even able to pick up medication to make me better. These people aren’t rude like these reviews say. I’ve been going here for 7 years and have never had a problem with any of them. They are all super helpful and give what they promise even if it isn’t exactly when predicted. People need to understand that these pharmacists work hard and that us consumers are not the center of their lives. They do the best they can just like we all do. God bless.By Olivia Stewart (3 weeks ago)Like every one else…no regard for customers. Dropped a script off, came back 24 hours later…hadn’t been started. Told I needed to wait 30 minutes. Pharmacist is giving shots, not filling scripts for the 20 other people waiting. These people need to increase pay so the can get staff for the customers they have left. This is probably the 10th straight experience like this. Mail order…here we come.By Joe Sirico (3 months ago)This used to be a good pharmacy to go to but now not so much. They never have what you need in stock, they NEVER answer the phone, they tell you when you can pick up your prescription and it’s never ready. Very disappointed.By Michael Lewis (4 months ago)your pharmacist, James, is terrible. my friend was simply jiggling the handle to the door knob on the door of the bathroom that said “out of order” just to see if it’d maybe open and James says “DONT DO THAT!! ITS OUT OF ORDER FOR A REASON” and began to argue with everyone we were with, being so immature AND verbally disrespected us and called one of the guys we were with names and said his haircut is from the 1900’s. James may want to find a new career because obviously his passion isn’t in pharmacy. Please have James take a course on customer service and maybe certain reviews to this specific CVS will increase. Terrible experience and we’ve already contacted corporate for this matter.By Brooke C (3 months ago)You can never get anyone on the phone, the lines are super long in the store. I was told incorrect information about my son’s medication and once I showed up in person it was a totally different situation.By Stephanie Goodman (4 months ago)

My default CVS is the Towers location. I arrived to pick up my prescription only to find that there was none on hand. I was directed to this CVS. The pharmacist took my call, immediately found my prescription, confirmed she had stock and texted me as soon as it was ready. This was done about 20 minutes before the store lunch time. My deepest gratitude to the entire pharmacy staff for caring the way they did.By Barry Fecarotta (2 weeks ago)By far the worst CVS ever. The pharmacy closes with no warning to customers because they are short on help. They do not answer the phone there, so it’s useless trying to call them. Store manager is rude and told me to call in a corporate complaint when I approached her about the pharmacy closing and I was not able to pick up an RX. No empathy, and no customer service. DO NOT USE THIS STORE OR PHARMACYBy Lisa ODell (2 months ago)This is the worst CVS Pharmacy in the USA. Get your prescriptions filled somewhere else.By Dexter White (4 months ago)CVS Pharmacy Technician and response time is seriously Flawed. My elderly mother’s hospital doctor called in needed medication to this pharmacy prior to her release from the hospital. My mother received a text message stating medication would not be available until August (3weeks away). We immediately called CVS to verify if that information was correct. Pharmacy Technician checked and stated they did have the medication and it would be ready in one hour (at this time it was 5:23pm). My mother received a text a 6:42 pm stating the medication was ready. I arrived at CVS at 6:54 pm, to find the pharmacy closed at 6:00 pm…no explanation. The website and pharmacy phone recorded message states pharmacy hours are from 8am-8pm. This is RIDICULOUS!…By Antaniece Clay (7 months ago)If you’re picking up medication, go elsewhere. They take ages to get people through the drive through.By Alix Tobasco (in the last week)

That’s it for our list of the best CVS in Roanoke VA! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
I’ve so far been on hold for over 45 minutes waiting to check on a script. I’m the meantime I called CVS Brambleton and had them switch it over to there.
I’m staying on hold at Towers just to see how long this can last. 🤬
This place is ridiculous. I try to be understanding but come on.
Edit: I broke an hour a few minutes ago. I’m tired of hearing the hold music so I’m giving up.
Called over a week ago to refill my medication and never heard back. Now i am low on meds so i called to check on the status and it hasn’t been filled. When i tried to reach the pharmacy i was hung up on, and when i called backI was put on hold for 15+ mins. I can’t just go off of my medication, its highly advised against. I’m frustrated.
Johnny Perez was very helpful & polite when assisting me on some items I was looking for. And all the shelves looked very well kept. He’s a great asset to your company.
To all our awesome cvs customers we want to let you all know how much we value and love to be able to service you any way we can. I would also love to encourage you to apply for a Care Pass Card, It’s an awesome card with tons of perks and benefits. The card is 5 dollars a month but once you have the card you’ll receive coupons. like 10 dollars a month for whatever you want to use it for, free deliveries on your home prescriptions and so much more!! Merry Christmas from your friends at Cvs!
Their pharmacy is not open 24 hours though it is advertised as so on both the company website & search engine results. Its only when you go to the specific store page is it shown that the pharmacy is closed.
I understand CVS is a rough company to work for, as they don’t pay fair wages to employees and that CVS also been reducing Pharmacy hours nationwide due to lack of staffing (huh, wonder why?). However, the company website can at least update the hours to be accurate, instead of advertising a service that is no longer available. It confuses both doctors and patients (This location also showed as a 24 hour pharmacy on the Carilion Now app, my telehealth doctor said that this location would be a good option given its availability).
Just really sucked being sick on a Sunday night and having to wait till Monday morning for medicine all because CVS (in general) is still advertising services they can no longer provide because they won’t pay their staff a fair wage.
