I wanted to come here to give a shout-out to Edward in the Pharmacy for helping me out tonight. I needed a Tdap vaccine asap as I scratched myself yesterday on a nail and was way overdue for this vaccine. I scheduled a appointment at the new Linglestown Road CVS and the pharmacist told me my insurance was denied and I’d have to go elsewhere.. he didn’t offer me to pay the full price which I would have done and told me I needed to go to my PCP or the MinuteClinic on Progress Ave. I rushed over there as they closed at 7:30pm. A woman came out and told me they don’t have a single appointment in this MinuteClinic until next week and that if the Pharmacy can’t get me approved, neither would they and I would have to pay the full price. At this point, I’m frustrated and went to the pharmacy counter and talked with Edward to see if I can just get the shot and pay the 81.99. He tried running my insurance again just to double check, but still no luck. He had me take a seat while waiting for the Pharmacist on duty to administer my vaccine. Edward called me back to the counter to pay for the vaccine and he told me that he actually managed to lower my cost which I think was absolutely amazing, as he was the only one that seemed to want to help me. So thank you again, Edward and to the Pharmacist who administered me my vaccine as I just walked in to get this on short notice. The lady in the back office (clinic) told me to ask up front where the baby formula was and was rude as well. I felt so out of place shopping here. My doctor sent in antibiotic at 4:00 pm and it was ‘in process’ all night, never filled. I called next morning at 8:50 and they said it’s still not ready to give them another hour. He said they had 500 prescriptions to fill before mine! If they can’t fill the prescriptions it would be best to have them sent to another nearby CVS. I went in 4 hours after that time and still had to wait 20mins. Head pharmacist absolutely is not following procedure. Funny cause the time for it to be filled by is even on the label for the bag. Went to CVS on Alexandra around 11 AM and there was a sign on the window saying they were closed ALL DAY! In the case of pain medication and antibiotics, CVS Pharmacuital providers shouldn’t just close down but rather give a referral “closest CVS“ where the prescription has been transferred temporally. This location is closest to my home or I would never go there. Unfriendly, sour management and head pharmacists. I no longer have 30-60 minute waits with no one answering the phone, generally it’s answered in a timely manner and I can get all my medications sorted out. Waited on line for over a hour to refill prescription. Just went about doing errands and kept my phone on. After a hour and a half on hold and no one answering, I went in and there was a sign saying they would be closed to later that afternoon. It is now 6:30 pm and no one is still in the pharmacy. When I called yesterday to refill said prescription, I told the girl I would like to refill this prescription, I will be in tomorrow to pick it up. She said, you have to call back tomorrow??? Now its tomorrow and no one is there to refill my prescription that I am now out of. I will be calling again tomorrow, but not to refill, but to transfer my prescriptions to a more competent pharmacy.
Took me 30+ minutes to pick up my refill today and has happened multiple times before as well. There was only one person working the pick up line even though there was multiple pharmacists behind the counter who didn’t seem to be doing much more than socializing with each other. By the time another pharmacist came up to work the other line it was at least 20 minutes and there was a long line behind me as well. Most of the pharmacists are rude and not friendly. I will not be using this pharmacy anymore, do better CVS!!
After waiting in line for 1 hour because the drive thru doesn’t work for them. CVS stated they do not have any penicillin and won’t for a week. Besides that would not give me back the prescription to get filled at Costco giant or rite aid. This was at 0900 am. Horrible experience. Consistently go to lunch from 10-1:00 and close at 5 for 24 hr pharmacy this is not acceptable.
I used to love going to this CVS because they had a drive-in window, and because it’s difficult for me to walk from the car to the back of the store. Since they opened, the pharmacy has gone downhill as far as customer service. (Bring back Austin!) One pharmacist told me not to trust the automated refill service and to call the pharmacy directly. However they no longer answer their telephone and admit it freely. I once spent an hour waiting on the telephone for them to answer. It made me so mad that I called the CVS hotline to complain, and I had to wait for 40 minutes on that line. Now they’ve started closing the drive-in window for lunch. However, they also close it whenever they please, stating that they are shorthanded. That’s not my problem, it’s theirs. Hire people and pay them well so they stay. I have spoken to the pharmacist, and to the store manager, and to several employees. But nothing ever improves. Yesterday I had to park my car and go stand in line behind four other people. I got a list of my medications from them, and I plan to transfer them to another store, where I’m hoping to get better service through their drive in the window. We shall see.
They didn’t fill my prescription correctly! They gave me half the amount I need and I only noticed when I went to fill my weekly pill box. I sure hope they’re not doing that to others. I paid the full price for half my medication. That could seriously hurt someone. They offered for me to come back and get it after I complained. Not a chance. I refuse to use this location. Already switched pharmacies. Steer clear of this location.
