The pharmacy staff are either extremely knowledgeable & helpful (most) or they are terrible. On more than one occasion I’ve had to make go back through the line, or even make multiple trips because technicians incorrectly told me medications were not due for refill.
The parking lot is filthy, with trash everywhere and there can be a large number of people loitering between the CVS & McDonalds; it looks like they are waiting to engage in drug transactions!By Juan Esteban (5 years ago)I enjoy going to CVS because the discounts I get plus the pharmacy staff is so nice they always help me even when there busy they keep a smile and help and the store is very cleanBy Timothy Kelly (5 months ago)It would be zero stars, but the Pharmacists are great … Pharmacy staff amongst the WORST I’ve ever experienced. Not only are they rude, dismissive and don’t know policies they’re hateful and simply seem miserable. I know a couple people who have worked for CVS in the pharmacy department and loved it. It was a different county and maybe they were treated better, but the managers at this location need to really get their team in check. They’re AWFUL… again, the pharmacists I’ve dealt with have been knowledgeable and had a friendly enough demeanor, especially for how busy the location is and the last of support from their staff. I can also think of two scenarios where they’ve fixed their staffs mistakes and made things right – all while maintaining a straight face at the horror of a mess his subordinates made – and not at all making them look or feel stupid.
Cvs, you’re a well known brand, do better in Hagerstown, especially since this location does the most business in town. Apparently a systemic customer service problem at this location based on the comments that span over 2 years. No one answers the phone. Prescriptions are never ready when the phone messages say they will be or when the pharmacists indicate, pure rudeness and lack of accountability at this store. The drive through is a joke since you get conflicting info on meds for the heart ! They actually hang up on customers at drive through instead of referring you to a manager to resolve disputes! Also this CVS closes for lunch!! Really!! What kind of caring pharmacy closes down to eat McDonalds while customers wait in pain or otherwise for lifesaving medications!! The man said he was in charge he was rude and ignorant. He kept telling me it was my fault I didn’t call the Dr office and handle it. The Dr. Office told me later they had told pharmacy they couldn’t fill it to have them call me. I never got that communication from CVS. The man who said he was in charge. Was not customer service minded and kept saying it was my problem. I waited on hold for over 45 min I was still on hold when I showed up there were four workers standing around doing nothing. I just wanted to ask to see if they had a clinic. and the manager started screaming knowing nothing about seeing an on call specialist or a person for an exam or a doctors note. He then proceeded to scream and role his eyes. He didn’t seam to understand what I was trying to tell him. I would’ve liked to know before my visit if they had one so I could go to a CVS that could provide me with the care I needed. Overall the disrespect and complete disregard for questions and other people needs to change. I was still on hold after driving up to the window. I showed them I was waiting to be helped and they were standing around. I could understand if they were refilling prescriptions but nobody picked up because nobody wanted to bother. I needed directions for the COVID swab and when Her directions were unclear she said what is wrong with you? These employees are very disrespectful.
Absolutely horrible pharmacy. They take days to fill prescriptions that are prescribed for immediate use. They claim not to have received scripts from my doctor who assures me they have sent it in – and this happens monthly. Rude and arrogant employees who care nothing about helping you and have zero empathy for you when going without needed medications. They always have a huge line and work at a snails pace with no apology for the wait. Then they will close the window on a line of people who have waited for 45 min and say they are going to lunch.
Scheduled a drive-thru test, pulled up the window to find a blacked-out window with a written note instructing me to call for assistance. Sat on hold on the phone for 20 minutes and pressed the assistance button at the window several times, all with no response. Ended up driving away. Will reschedule at a different location.
I didn’t know it would be so difficult to get a covid test. I haven’t had a physical insurance card in a while and never had an issue with it being on my phone. I had to be that person and snap at the girl at the pharmacy because she was just saying “sorry no you need a physical card” and I snapped at her because for one, my insurance is on file from making the appointment. Also, never have I ever needed a physical copy. Not for previous visits nor for previous covid tests.. she’s just pure lazy. That was just ridiculous and I guess I just need to hope I don’t have covid. They’re all so childish and lazy in the pharmacy
They don’t even deserve a star. I transferred to this pharmacy 5 weeks ago and EVERY single time I have problems with them. They still as of right now don’t have eye drops ready for my baby that was sent in last week, my daughter tested positive for strep and pink eye yesterday and I gave them 6/7 hrs to get the meds ready and they still don’t have the antibiotics or the eye drops ready. I switched to Walgreens and they had everything ready within an hr. Never again will I even go to a cvs!
