Poor customer service. Pharmacy is terrible. Hate that Walgreens stop taking my insurance. I need to find better and reliable Pharmacy. Cvs is not it. Parking lot is usually close to empty, but when i go pick a my prescription, they are “so busy” come back in 30min. Came here for antibiotics for 9-month old because there are shortages. Pharmacist acted like I was some kind of drug mule and told me she didn’t know if my prescription was “legitimate” because it wasn’t showing up. Turns out she didn’t bother checking her voicemail and it had been there for hours. We were barely at the counter and she was already asking if she could help my wife. Once signed in, my wife received her vaccine within minutes from one of the friendliest pharmacists I have seen.

By Tyler (a year ago)Pre-pandemic this was the best pharmacy. The pharmacists/technicians knew you by name and it was always courteous and friendly. Scripts were on time and if you brought a new script in the wait was usually 10 minutes.I dont know what changed in 2021 but now it doesnt appear that the people enjoy their job. The pharmacy is always backed up. Almost all the friendly faces are gone (there are a few hold outs left but you can tell they are very stressed.) Pharmacists that had been there for years have left and been replaced. New staff isnt as friendly, many are curt. Wait times are very long, the drive thru is even worse.
The only plus side…sometimes you can get your meds delivered at little to no cost.

AVOID! The entire staff is unprofessional, disorganized, and rude. I had two simple prescription which I dropped off around 3:30 pm. When I went to pick up my order 3 hours later, I noticed 6 cars in the drive thru. Once I entered the store it appeared empty, until I got to the pharmacy desk. If anything makes my blood boil, it is elder abuse, and this pharmacy could be arrested just for that. Waiting patiently were several elderly customers with a look of despair and hopelessness in their eyes, all the while the the pharmacy staff was waiting (flirting) on a cute young woman at the counter.
I registered a complaint with CVS corporate about this very same observation, elder abuse months ago, and was promised that it would be taken care of. As of today, NOTHING has been done. Please don’t take your parents or your elderly loved ones to this place of shame. $$ before service. Shameful. AVOID!
Needed CVD test for international travel. Told we’d both have results in 12-24 hours. Hmmm … 5 days later after we’d already visited two countries. Had to find a second location the morning of our flight to do a rapid test with no reservation so that our entire trip wouldn’t be canceled. Will not be using CVS for testing again
The pharmacy staff has maybe one person who isn’t rude and judge mental.
They always have issues that clearly happen on their end but love to shift blame at customers and talk down to them.
If you need to use a pharmacy I would avoid this location unless you can deal with the intolerant staff especially the middle age woman that always has an attitude. Give her a vacation or something.
A majority of the staff are unprofessional and rude. They run late with prescriptions and shift blame to doctors. When I called with an issue about a prescription we did not receive, the female staff member who answered the phone said, “Well, is it an emergency?”

No counseling on new medications, on four separate occasions. This is a clear violation of Iowa law.
They just hand you a bag and say “here”
