I’m really disappointed. I arrived at CVS pharmacy at 2:40 today and was first helped by a nice young lady. I gave her my new insurance card and she let me know one of my medications wasn’t covered for a 90 day supply. Another young man asked me if I’d like him to run it through as a 30 day supply. I thanked him and said “Yes, please.” Then, I waited off to the side so they could take care of other customers. 40 minutes I waited patiently as they took care of customer after customer including incoming calls. I could see they were very busy and didn’t want to be THAT customer. Nothing. Not an update or even a “sorry it’s taking so long I appreciate your patience.” I tried to get back in line to pay for my other medications and come back another time for the rest. At that point, an employee hadn’t been at the counter for 10 minutes. More calls came in that were answered ahead of the customers at the counter. Drive thru was taken care of promptly. I was not about to rudely cut the line and demand to be taken care of. It should never get to that point. I’ve worked in customer service for 14 years. Had many poor experiences elsewhere and never felt compelled to leave a single bad review. I would have continued to wait patiently with any sort of update, or understandably left and returned had they told me there would be a delay. But nothing? These are medications. They’re vital. The drive thru for the pharmacy is not open and hasn’t been open for months. I used to get text messages when I could pick up my prescription, don’t get them anymore. I go there to pick up my prescription and it’s never ready ….I’m always told it will be a little while longer. The pharmacy never picks up the phone. I go to drop film off to be developed and I’m told they don’t have anymore envelopes, to come back tomorrow. If you aske for minimal information even , they say “ we dont have time and have million things to do”. Patients who come to them for meds are already vulnerable with their conditions and need some help at times too.. its patient s right to get some information about medicine other than the paper leaf let. Apart from that, it was a horrible experience over all. I am a physician and dont need info but I have seen them behaving bad with other people and you can clearly see the prejudice, starification and some racial component in their behaviour. I am definitely changing my pharmacy.By natasha qutab (4 months ago)So everyone is short staffed so take a breather kids…I went to CVS to pick up some Perscriptions, I called around 745 and asked of I could Pick them up before work around 8:45. If it weren’t for the 2 people Manning the pharmacy counter the pharmacy would have been closed.
The girl who rang me out was obviously out of place and didn’t know her way around but not ONCE did that affect her service.
With the phones ringing and the line piling up I myself would have overdosed on anxiety….not this gal, she didn’t bat an eye. I love stuff like this, I hope she crushed it today, I really do.
Anyway, I love CVS, now even more so, please give her a Christmas bonus or promote her to training manager….she’ll KILL IT.

The store is setup in a way where you need very little assistance in finding things. I will say the times you need customer service. I went in to fill an Amoxicillin prescription. The pharmacist Amanda took it and told me to come back an hour later. I came back to be told that the dentist had put for pain in the explanation so I was told I had to go back and get another prescription. I did exactly that then when I came back again with fresh prescription I was told that she thought it was strange that she couldn’t get In touch with the doctor but I was able to go get another prescription so she choose to not fill the prescription until she talked to him despite telling me if I go get another perscription she would fill it. So I drove over to his office for a third time he said to have her call when I got back over so I went back again. Soon as I showed up I noticed police there I walked in and they immediately asked if I was the person harrasing Amanda the lead pharmacist over there I laughed and said no she’s the one harassing me they obviously concluded I had broke no laws and asked her to fill my prescription which she did with the police there. I have had some pretty memorable moments in pharmacies but nothing like this. Amanda was having a bad day and decided to make as many people around her have a a bad a day as possible. This pharmacy and especially the lead pharmacist Amanda should be avoided at any cost. However if your in a hurry DO NOT choose this location. Once your in the drive through lane your stuck due to poor design. I had to call my dr back 3 times and my insurance company twice cause they apparently don’t know how to do their job. The pharmacist was kind and polite but the staff that works in the pharmacy apparently need to be trained a little better. Plus when I asked to talk to someone that knows more about my situation, she gave me a straight up attitude. The girls up front are useless & they send you too the back, where Hailey will ignore you & avoid all eye contact. She literally moved so I couldn’t see her again & again. She finally realized I can move too. THEN the cashier screwed up my signing up for the Care Card & gave me a card with a different number on it.
On the plus side Pharmacist was very helpful, patient and kind.
UPDATE “THE PHARMACIST” IS LEVI he acts like he thinks he is a god! The female pharmacist Kaylee the one that is good, just defended him because he is new! What happened to helping patients first? Sham on you CVS, shame on you.
Whoever “CVS Pharmacy and The Pharmacist” are that worked in Sunday 1/7/22 should NOT be in medical. No empathy, no help. I was gonna give it a 5 star as the the female pharmacist that usually works and the staff that work with her are amazing, but these two give you a hardcore 0 if it was an option. “The Pharmacist” that worked today was THE reason I stopped using large chains, the female pharmacist that usually works is so nice she is the read I changed to a big chain. No more. Gone CVS you are horrible!
cvs is the best!!! kaylee the pharmacist is so accommodating and kind. the entire staff is always going out of their way to meet my needs. although they take a lunch break, i think it’s great they all have the chance to breath during their busy day. sarah is one of the best techs, she is helpful and is always finding solutions to my issues, along with everyone else on this team. keep up the great work cvs!!
I have always had my prescription done here but the last two times my prescriptions were not ready. Granted they were called in way ahead of time. I went to pick my prescription up tonight that was called in at 10:00 this morning. Got there at 4:00 and it’s still was not ready. I’m going to have to switch pharmacies. People don’t want to deal with that.
I hardly ever write reviews and after how awful the North Tonawanda CVS pharmacy location was to my mom (who has terminal cancer) I never thought I would be giving CVS 5 stars at anything. However, I am so glad we found this location. Kaylee and Krystal are absolutely phenomenal. I can’t even begin to describe how nice they have treated us and how on top of things they are. Everyone at this location is top notch and I sincerely thank you for your kindness, it truly goes a long way when someone is battling bad health.
