I don’t know about others experiences, but, candidly speaking, I’ve been very impressed with those I’ve personally interacted with, there. Impressed because they’ve shown me a willingness to learn my individual situation. The team actively listened to my personal concerns about drastic changes in my health, and have also shown me, through their actions and attitude, an ability to practically apply what I share with them towards the quality of care given me, in return. While I started being seen by Dr. Wayne Hawkins (prior to his retirement) and is now being followed by Dr. William Ryle, the common through line between the two has been their PA, Mr. Tim Craft. Tim has been an awesome quarterback in getting care started all along the way, and for that, I am completely impressed and pleased with what they do to help me understand what goes into ‘quality care’.By Alonzo Richardson (2 years ago)I don’t know if the government trains the employees at these places not to care .I’m just saying that some do a good job of it . I’ve been to other VAs the same treatment every time. Sorry I served my country . From now on I will go and pay for my treatment.By Todd Anderson (4 years ago)Shannon Hatfield and all the nurses do an excellent job, very thorough and I can call the clinic anytime I have an issue.By William Apel (a year ago)By Ed Williams (3 years ago)By Raymond Carlson (4 months ago)

That’s it for our list of the best urgent care clinics in Kirksville MO! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
You can schedule appointment using cellphone, they call when available, you have 30 minutes to arrive, once notified. We did this but then had to wait 30-40 minutes once arrived to go to a room. Someone came to the room within 10 minutes, a PA within 15 minutes. we needed x-rays, another 20 minute wait. The two gals helped with the x-rays for my dad and were very nice and pleasant. They tried to make dad as comfortable as possible. No doctor after 5 p.m. to read the X-rays. PA to call next day between 9-10 a.m. with results. Essentially two hours from arrival to exit.
Went in for a walk-in at 11; was told that they were backed up, and they would call me when it’s my turn later. Got a call at around 1 telling me to come in right away, but when I got there, they told me they called me “on accident” and I would have to wait another hour. I said okay and left. 10 minutes later I get a call saying that they “haven’t heard from me” so they gave my spot to someone else…obviously this place does not know what they are doing.
Went there because I thought I may need stitches. Waited for over an hour. Finally got seen, no stitches just some glue and a steri strip then was charged $130. I knew I should have left. For those same items I could have spend $40 for them at the store! I asked if there was any chance for it to be any lower. They told me they already gave me a discount of $400. What a rip off.
We’ve been coming here for about 2 years and always had a pleasant experience but they have a new waiting system and if you don’t live in or near Kirksville is very inconvenient. Total wait was well over 3 hours and that’s including time spent after they text saying they were ready for us. Staff is always nice and caring. Just the wait and system they are using is a joke. Hopefully they get this figured out or figure out a new way to do things.
Brought both my kids here and no real due diligence was done for the infection of my kids. In short, they misdiagnosed what they had and their infections raged for 3 weeks. I made the extra drive to Quincy for a second opinion, and they did tests and other due diligence to address it. My kids were treated with value and care. We are moving all our health concerns to Quincy, and honestly, it’s worth the extra drive for us.
