There is a single employee here that is the a absolute RUDEST. I went here two years ago for my flu shot and she was having issues entering my insurance and the way she treated me made me never want to come back. Well, stupid me, went there again this year for a flu and COVID booster because I was in the area and that same employee was still there! And same thing absolutely rude! Again, never want to come again because of this one employee. Which is a shame because the pharmacist is absolutely lovely! Please either have this employee adjust her attitude or terminate her for her lack of costumer service skills.By Formidable Rose (4 months ago)This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in obtaining my prescription. It’s all about attitude, and this person’s attitude was so friendly and filled with a desire to assist that I was taken aback. Thank you!By Brenda Longacre (2 weeks ago)The woman who answers the phone makes it very obvious that she hates her job. She didn’t say anything polite in the phone and said “k hold on” In a disgruntled tone and then put me on hold for eight minutes. Don’t work a job where you have to interact with customers if you can’t be polite to them.By Tiffani Wilson (5 months ago)Terrible staff, extremely slow, very rude, I can’t believe this is how they run a pharmacy. I can’t even get a hold of anyone through the phone because the pharmacist told me one dosage for my 2 year old and the instructions they gave me said something different. They wouldn’t even answer my call after being on hold for 40 minutes after multiple attempts of calling. This feels wrong!By Jessica Robinson (5 months ago)Honestly every experience is bad. The customer service is trash. The employees seem irritated when you need to pick up your prescription. This is my only option other than the south hill (20+ minutes out of my way) and after every experience I have here I honestly consider switching.By Bailey Dickinson (5 months ago)
That’s it for our list of the best CVS in Spokane WA! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
Edit: this store has been closed for three days with no notice and no explanation.
I get my prescriptions mailed to me because going here in-person for any reason is always a nightmare.
We scheduled two flu shots for October 2nd. They lost my appointment somehow, but still had my boyfriend’s. The appointments were for 10 am, but we weren’t seen until 10:45. No communication, no explanation. Just sit in the chair and wait.
As another example, I stopped getting one prescription here entirely because it was wrong every single time I got it. I’d have to check it, see it was wrong, and wait for them to fix it.
I placed an order for a prescription I was almost out of on Monday. Paid for it, asked for delivery like I always do. It’s Friday and it’s still yet to be shipped. I’ve called them five times in two days and have never been able to get through to anyone to ask about this, no matter how long I wait on hold.
I’ve had staff be rude to me before. I’ve had staff be weird to me before (with one pharmacist asking me if I’m on the “naughty list,” but not even associated with Christmas – it was July?)
I’m switching pharmacies as soon as possible. This place is a mess.
FOR THOSE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING MEDICATIONS PLEASE CALL 1-800-SHOP-CVS AND ASK TO GET THEM TRANSFERRED TO THE THE NEWPORT HIGHWAY CVS.
Now to the review… What’s happening here is putting their customers in danger. Many people could die from missing a day of medication and there’s been no info here for a week or more now. After waiting and waiting for my prescriptions to finally quit being “in process” I ended up having to call some random CVS in the Seattle area (have weird schedule) to find out what I had to do. THEY DON’T EVEN TELL YOU THEY’RE CLOSED HERE.
Unlike one chain I’ve used, CVS doesn’t make it easy to transfer prescriptions from a closed CVS to another CVS. You have to call corporate within business hours and their help instead of calling the open CVS and saying, “Hey, my prescription was filled at another CVS but it’s closed now so could you please fill it here?” It would be so simple but they make it so complicated.
After this debacle and hearing about recent CVS controversies, I’m planning on transferring all my prescriptions to Safeway instead.
Usually I’m so so happy with their services. However, I, like many others, have a prescription that I cannot miss. The pharmacy has a wait time of 15 minutes minimum on the phone, and you don’t actually know if they are open until you get there. The hours on the website are incorrect. Its almost impossible to get your prescription sent to a new location, because you have to talk to a person, and the location has to be open. The Newport location had to give me an emergency dose because this location isn’t communicating or practicing professionalism. I just want to know how they expect me to get my medicine if they aren’t open and don’t communicate?
This pharmacy abruptly closed down with absolutely zero notice or recording on their phone line with an explanation when you call. This CVS is literally a hazard to people that are on medication necessary for their wellbeing. I will never use this CVS again… if they ever open back up. The staff that just walked out should never be employed by a pharmacy ever again. I understand one person being on maternity leave but how bad did CVS treat their employees for them to just walk out all on the same day leaving nothing but a note behind (another overworked CVS pharmacy told me this)
This is an updated review as of 2/26/2023. There is a whole new staff at the store compared to 2021. Things are run smoothly. Love the new pharmacist! Very eager to help and staff is willing. 100% better than 2021.They are staffed well and consistently there to help. It is worth transferring your prescription there! 2021 review was a 1 star and this is why I rated it that way. Poor staffing and pharmacy closed; October 28th and 29th, 2021! When will they reopen this pharmacy????????The pharmacy does not say the hours they are open on the phone nor do they have information posted on sight when they will open back up. It is October 29th and this pharmacy has been closed for 2 days due to staffing shortage.
