Except for Waiting a little longer than what I liked, my visit was great. I feel that Dr Knierim is the best. He Did all the appropriate test and prescribed medicines that are definitely helping. The staff is very kind and helpful. I would recommend MedExpress to anyone.By Debbie B (3 months ago)Very rude nurse. I was seated more than 8 feet away from her and I slipped my mask down to my chin to show her the mallar rash on my face. Just 2 seconds after I did that she very rudely and loudly said “Put your mask up!” And I attempted to say something to her and she practically yelled at me “my husband has MS and is “immune compromised”
She’s working in the wrong place if she’s that worried about bringing something home to her husband. I was a nurse for 40 years and if I spoke that rudely to a patient I’d have been disciplined. screening had been in and out within 20 mins(please note I’ve taken alot of pre-employment screenings in several different states). I had a great experience with Dr. Rafael Schmulevich’s staff. The NP Lisa, was absolutely the best. She actually heard me .. my concerns, my questions. It felt like she cared. The way she spoke and what she said, really calmed my anxiety as well. Christina, at the front desk, was very welcoming and knowledgeable. Even though I have a longer drive, i have a lot of faith in this doctor. I was there a few weeks ago for a heart cath. When I walked in, I almost walked back out The building doesnt look like it has been renovated since 1970. This does not inspire confidence. i finally found my way through the maze of ugliness. Thankfully there looks to be major renovations going on. The staff and nurses were kind and professional. The procedure went as expected. Been fighting with them for years over pricing, hospital did not post prices for my insurance company and their average price was lower. Turns out it was much higher with my insurance. Called to negotiate the bills since they failed to meet the requirements and they turned me into collections. Now they call and threaten to garnish my wages. It’s like they decide to see what insurance is willing to pay and then tack on whatever they’d like to make afterwards. Zero transparency. On top of that I never received a bill for my services and only found out they had the wrong address, its on my insurance card AND drivers liscense, when I got phone calls threatening to be turned into collections and being talked down to. Listen, were not medical professionals, we HAVE to put our entire faith in you that you’re doing what is right. TERRIBLE! I came in for an ear infection in both ears. First off, the receptionist was weird. She made it seem like she didn’t want to be there. Head down the whole time she was checking me in. She talked so low. I kept stating I had an ear infection in both ears and I couldn’t hear a thing she was saying. Anyways…that’s not who I wanted to rant about. It was the doctor. Don’t remember the name but it was a male doctor. I understand he had to take a look at my ears in order to figure out what was going on in there but he was SO ROUGH!!!!! He kept digging and digging and digging in my ears making them hurt even more. He kept telling me my ears were too swollen to see what was going on. After he said it a million times, he continued to dig in both ears. Literally made me cry. Than, he yanked my ears really hard and asked if it hurts. UHM OF COARSE IT DID! You yanked it! I literally left the place crying like a baby because I was so uncomfortable with what he did. AND on top of that I wasted $109 for some ear drops that didn’t even work. I have no insurance so I’m not complaining about the money. It’s the fact that it didn’t even work. I went to my regular family doctor and was prescribed with antibiotics. Took those and 2 days later it was gone. Like I said, TERRIBLE! I’d rather deal with an ear infection than to go back to this location.
The check in representative was the only person who seemed like she knew what she was doing. She was the only one working. I’m barely 5’1the nurse who was so excited about her mood ring put 5’6 on my paper never weighed me or took my height did not ask me any questions that was on my discharge paper. The crnp was disrespectful to my child she kept saying girl who’s not the patient after I repeatedly said her name as if her sitting there quietly was an issue. I clearly had scrubs on I have my own medical experience no provider I ever worked with would speak to anybody like that while disrespecting my child. The nurse there is clearly violating lying about my vitals if I needed a serious medication everything she lied about could have an effect on the medication order. Wrong h/w every question. The front desk representative is the only reason I’m giving two stars they are hers she was the only kind one working because everyone else lied on paper and disrespected us.
Dr. Bernard Geiser is wonderful and so is the staff. They are quick to respond. I went in with a terrible sinus infection and the treatment that Dr. Geiser recommended had me feeling results in less than 8 hours after I started the medication. My facial tenderness and swelling went down and I had so much relief.
I was seen almost immediately after arriving with no appointment scheduled. I wish I could remember the name of the nurse, but she was phenomenal. Dr. Demko was amazing, as well. She was thorough, calm, and considerate in talking to me about my illness. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who is in search of an urgent care in the area.
I went to MedExpress for a Covid-19 test over a year ago. All I had done was the test. NOTHING ELSE and was charged for an office visit and an Urgent Care fee. I was NOT told that there would be charges in addition to the test. My insurance wouldn’t pay for these additional charges because it is out of Network. If I had been informed of these charges, I wouldn’t have had them do the testing. I’m sure they made A LOT of money over the past few years doing this. It is underhanded and a very shady business practice. I will NEVER use them again.
