This was my first experience with this Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care location. My initial impression changed once I was able to be seen this past Saturday. I had walked in the day before, only to be told they were completely booked every 15 minutes up to closing time, (it was 10 am). I was told that I could make an appointment for the following day with the earliest available being 10:30. I really needed to be checked out, so I took the appointment. I returned the next day and was quickly registered and checked in. Within minutes I was in an exam room. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and courteous. They all were genuinely concerned about my health and helping me feel better. My past experience at an urgent care was show up, sign in, and wait in a lobby full of sick people, hoping your out of there in less than 2 hours. Although I had to suffer through my symptoms for another day and night, I found this process favorable and more efficient over the past. What used to be an unpredictable amount of time to be seen has become a more streamlined approach to health care.By lccgl479 (3 months ago)I had to go in for a cut on my hand and I did a walk-in. The wait time wasn’t too long. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. I saw Dr. Derek Williams and he was fantastic! He helped me clean and re-bandage my cut and it’s healing up great now even though I thought maybe it would need stitches. Highly recommendBy Rachel Lee (2 months ago)Had an appointment for 3:00pm, arrived at 2:46 and was told we were an hour early, appointment changed to 3:46. Went about other errands and arrived back at 3:30 to find they didn’t have an appointment for us anymore- put us back in to be seen. Hour later walk ins came and were seen before us. When asked if we were next person looked confused and said they are behind which I reminded her we were here for original time and turned away. Computer system must be not great, highly recommend if arriving too early just sign in so you will be seen on timeBy Caitlin Robertson (4 months ago)Horrible private company. Had an appointment on 12/10/22 at 9:15am. My copay for urgent care is $50. They took my vitals, told me there’s nothing they could do and to go to the ER. Called to dispute the copay because I received ZERO care. Billing dept agreed that they’re in the business of scamming individuals. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!By T McTreez (2 months ago)Made my appointment online, was seen within a short time period after my arrival. Seen by PA J Ellis, very professional, concerned for my condition. He recommended a course of treatment that has proven effective. Will return to this facility if neededBy Warren Reynolds (2 months ago)

It’s always so nice to come in myself or have my family seen. I work at this clinic, so my family and extended family are always messaging me to see which clinic I’m at to come be seen. They always tell me the have the best experiences. I love working here, it’s like having another family. Everyone is very accommodating and efficient. I hate that we sometimes have long waits, but with it being flu season and Covid rearing it’s ugly head again, the waits can be kind of long.By Lacey Kozemczak (a month ago)Worst patient care I’ve ever experienced! I never make bad reviews but this is beyond belief. We made an appointment for my son’s ear infection earlier in the morning. After we arrive we sit for over an hour when the receptionist came out to inform us the provider who treats patients with our insurance will be leaving. We can be seen but they were going to charge us the full amount rather than what our insurance covered. Unbelievable that any provider would do that to any patient!By Rene Crossland (3 months ago)Came in with my husband today after several days of what appeared to be a sinus infection. Was told the office visit was $175, which is ridiculous but doable. After seeing the doctor for less then 10 minutes, he was swabbed for flu and COVID. Both negative and diagnosed with sinusitis. Go to check out and was charged $386. Requested an itemized statement that read his office visit was $275 plus tests and other fees!! What other fees, use of the chairs in the lobby??By Summer Jones (4 months ago)I’m not sure it will make a difference because this place has horrid reviews but I wanted to make people aware so it will possibly helps others not make the same mistake we did. My son was a student at Evangel University last semester. He went to this urgent care because he wasn’t feeling well. He is 20 and in great condition. He was on scholarship playing football so he has ZERO health issues. He was having chest discomfort. We were not sure if maybe he hurt himself lifting heavy but to be cautious his mom and I told him to go to an urgent care. We should have read reviews before sending him to Family Medical but we didn’t. The dr did an EKG and misread it. Immediately called an ambulance and sent our son to the hospital. My wife immediately drove to Springfield. After sitting in the emergency room all night the Cardiologist told my wife and my son the dr from this facility didn’t know what he was doing. I called this facility and spoke to the manager. He was cordial but unwilling to take any responsibility. I have sense done some research and I guess this facility has a reputation (per the Google reviews) as an extremely incompetent facility. This was a $5400 mistake for us. That’s what it cost us with the ER and EMSA bills. Ironically, when EMSA was transporting our son they told him this place is “joke”……They misdiagnose people all the time. If you are in need of medical care in Springfield stay clear of this place.By Tom Penland (a month ago)Took our 9 month old here that had been dealing with a bad cough and fever for about 3 days and really wanted to sure she doesn’t have something serious. Our primary care was out of town at this time.. Oh and BTW had an ear infection which we knew for a fact per our primary care. After a few quick pokes the Dr. said no ear infection and just a common cold, give her some infant Tylenol. Literally. After dealing with 2 more nights of screaming, crying baby we decided to get a 2nd opinion. 2nd opinion resulted in rsv and yes ear infection still present. Seriously rsv!!?? Had we not been pouring every home remedy in her that we knew of we probably would have ended up in the hospital. Please do not take your babies here.By Dan Stoltzfus (a month ago)

That’s it for our list of the best urgent care clinics in Springfield MO! If you have any arguments or additional information, please leave a comment. We love to hear from our readers too!
I don’t think I’ve ever been to a clinic where the staff cared less than the people here. They were far more concerned with themselves then with my health. I’ll never go to Mercy for anything ever again. It was a bad case of heartburn, seriously. But because your staff heard. “Pain in my chest”. They immediately refused any service.
BTW. Coxhealth had me sorted out in 10 minutes. Can you guess which service I’ll be using and recommending from now on?
As you can tell, I never write reviews. That is a testament to how horrible this experience was.
Very considerate of my consequences with a throbbing wrist from tendinitis. I went to one urgent care all the way across town and found out that they were booked up solid for three hours and yet the gal behind the counter help me get an appointment in just a half an hour and another clinic. They could not be more helpful and got to me and took care of my element in a timely manner.
Very friendly and I wish the best for all of them especially to the doctor first name Kay!
I had the worse experience at this Mercy Urgent care facility. I made my appointment online. I arrived and was taken into an examination room. The nice nurse Josh, took my vitals and gave me both a Covid-19 test and a Strep test.
I had a fever and was feeling horrible. My throat was very sore, to the point where I could talk or swallow. He said the the test would take 10 min. I came back in in approximately 10 min. Looked at the test and walked out. Then I waited ……and 30 min later I was feeling so bad I was ready to walk out. I opened the door to the examination room and a Lady jumped back from the Computer where she was playing games…. and said
“I have other patients before you”, there wasn’t anyone else in the building except for me and the receptionist and the nurse. I still had not said anything to her mainly because I was so sick and my throat was so raw. Then she said
“Ok, I’m coming, She did come into the examination room but I felt no since of Trust or Security, at the end of the day she didn’t give me any meds and no treatments. And I’m back home sick and hurting! I will never go back to that Urgent care.
The staff was extremely helpful, despite the overload of patients due to other Mercy Go clinics being unexpectedly closed for the holiday. They took us in and quickly made impromptu appointments for us, and got us in quickly. I cannot say enough for the efforts of the staff. Thank you!
Last night and this morning I had the absolute worst experiences I’ve ever had from healthcare professionals: Sam and Courtney. I came in to be treated for reoccurring bacterial tonsillitis-received a strep test that came back negative and was told that there was nothing they could do except run more tests($). I was billed improperly (the “receptionist” told me she couldn’t do anything because she’s an X-ray tech and didn’t know what to do), was not given any respect, but sass and rudeness were up for grabs, from neither Sam nor Courtney and wasn’t even given an after visit sheet/told how to treat what I had after they wouldn’t give me anything. I will never go to urgent care in general, but will go to great lengths to ensure that those around me don’t go to Mercy.
