5 Replies to Pasco WA Urgent Care – Walk-In Urgent Care

  1. Doctor seemed competent. Did not have to wait long after completing the paperwork. Receptionist was helpful as to completing the paperwork. I believe that the doctor gave me the right diagnosis and he immediately called in my prescription which I was able to pick up three hours later

  2. I use to love this clinic, I’ve gone here with my family for years. They’ve been bought out and it’s taken a turn for the worse. The doctor did not do a proper assessment did not listen to my heart or lungs, or look in my throat, one major symptom was a sore throat. He didn’t even listen to me. He was in the room with me for maybe three minutes and that’s only because I kept asking questions. There was not another single patient in the clinic when I was there, so he was not rushing to get to another patient. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone, maybe just this practitioner.

  3. Very nice staff. Made appointment online. Was not kept waiting 10 minutes. Nurse was great. PA listened to my concerns and prescribed the meds I needed. Will use this office whenever the need arises and highly recommend their services

  4. They asked for a review via text otherwise I wouldn’t do this. Wait time was 3 hours after paper form and a separate phone registration. My time with a doctor was less than 2 minutes. They sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy. The phone number listed on Google and their website goes to the wrong office (Gage). Ultimately, I got the care I needed which I’m thankful. They’ve got some kinks to work through. The woman working at reception is an absolute saint with patience and kindness for all the frustrated and sick people that walk through the door. I was impressed with her composure.

  5. I made an appointment for my mom just make sure her lungs were cleared due to congestion that lasted for quite a bit. First thing that I noticed when I pulled up their handicap spots are not very well marked. My mom is fully wheelchair-bound and I have to physically with her and put her in the chair myself. The next thing I was disappointed in is that they don’t have any handicap doors so I struggle getting her through both doors and nobody offered to help 😑. We were in the waiting room for about 20 minutes and we were called back for a room. We waited a little more than 45 minutes to see the doctor. When the doctor came in he was extremely rushed he may be spent two minutes in there and listened to my mom’s lungs in two spots which from what I understand you have to listen quite a bit to hear if there’s pneumonia. He was also quick to prescribe medicine without any definitive diagnosis. He stated her lungs were clear in the two spots that he listened to and was willing to just put her on antibiotics right away. He was in such a rush he was trying to walk out the door when I was asking him questions about my mom and why she needed to be on antibiotics if her lungs were clear I denied the antibiotics. I then brought to the attention my mom’s urine color and he said it looks like there’s blood in the urine but we can’t test it. I’ll put her on antibiotics. I said I would take the antibiotics if it didn’t clear up in a couple days I would give them to her. I really wish he would have spent more time listening to her chest and listening to what our concerns were instead of trying to walk out the door as soon as he walked in. In situations like this misdiagnosis can get overlooked without taking time to really understand and doing a thorough examination.

I’ve had a number of issues the past two months and each trip to BestMed Urgent Care went well. The front desk is discreet even though it’s an open area. The nurses are friendly and really listen. I notice they ask relevant questions which makes me feel they want to make sure they understand. The doctors I’ve seen there also really listen and show concern. They always seem to be in good moods too. I appreciate the care I’ve received.

Office staff and nurses were great! However, Took my infant in and the doc had to come back in asking us what test he ordered a few minutes after he left. He did a rapid test, said its not strep, could be something else, and opened the door for us to leave without an opportunity to ask questions. My husband stopped him to allow me to ask about allergens and the doc simply waved my concern off and left the room. No help on next steps, no questions regarding child history of medicines/food, no “here’s your way out”, and ultimately no bedside manners. Will not go back to this facility for treatment.

I was treated with compassion and care from the receptionist, nurse and doctor from the moment I walked in the door. I was given top notch care and eased my stress over being so sick without insurance. I’m so grateful for everyone at BestMed, and cannot thank them enough for the care I so desperately needed. I highly recommend them.

My daughter gets strep throat often. Brought her in for antibiotics, assuming her sore throat and fever was strep again. Doc gave her quick test, came back negative, sent her home and said to take ibuprofen and ride ‘it’ out. Four days later she’s in agony, can’t swallow, eat or sleep. Took her to a different place. Doc said she definitely had strep, and that the quick test they gave her only tested for one strain of strep … said she should have been tested for the other strains at BestMed. They gave my daughter antibiotics and she’s getting better now, after 10 days of needless and intensifying suffering, and over a week of missed school. The doc and BestMed was either lazy or incompetent in my opinion … very common condition with an easy diagnosis and cure. We told him about her proclivity for strep, but I guess he know better. He sent her home without even checking for the other strains. Total lack of compassion.

After I arrived at the urgent care facility the receptionist assisted me in filling out the paperwork. After a very short wait I was taken to an examination room. The nurse arrived quickly and a few minutes after she left the doctor arrived. He diagnosed me and provided the solution. It was a positive atmosphere.

I called ahead after checking with my insurance company to see who was in network for me. The receptionist was very helpful and professional. She let me know that the wait time wasn’t very long. I had previously been to another “express care” clinic a couple of days earlier for head and chest congestion and a fever, and had been unsatisfied with the lack of treatment I received there. After no improvement, I came to Health First Urgent Care for a second opinion. I went into the clinic and didn’t wait long at all. Once I got back into a room, the MA immediately made me feel at ease. When the provider came in, he was very friendly, professional, and helpful. He listened to my concerns and gave me suggestions for over the counter treatment as well as calling in a couple of prescriptions. Over all, a great experience when I was feeling less than stellar.

I came 30 minutes before closing time on a Sunday night but the staff was quick and efficient telling me not to worry about the time. I needed 2 stitches which was also quick. I have healed well and they took out the stitches 10 days later. I highly recommend this urgent care!

I’m giving a 1 star review based on the wait time in the office, not the care I finally received. I had scheduled an appointment for 4:15 pm on Monday 11/21, I left work early for this appointment. At about 5:30pm a man whom I’m assuming was the office manager came out to thank everyone for their patience, and to apologize for for the wait. I had now been sitting in the waiting room for an hour and a half. I politely said to him, that a courtesy call would have been nice to let us know that you were an hour and a half behind. I told him I wouldn’t have had to leave work early in that case. He then told me that they were working on a system for such instances. I was finally seen at 6 pm, 2 hours after arriving for my appointment. The actual consult only took 10 minutes, and then I was out the door. If you don’t mind making an appointment, and then waiting 2 hours after your appointment to be seen, then by all means this is the place for you.

Most of the staff was very friendly. The only problem I had was that when my provider came in, she rushed me through the appointment and didn’t fully explain what tests she was going to run, and what was happening. I felt lost, and as sick as I was, had to have my mother call in to figure out what was going on. What she was told ended up being completely from what the provider told me. That was the only issue I had, other than that, friendly staff and and overall easily accessible treatment.

I greatly appreciated to be able to see a doctor on the same day I requested an appointment. The doctor was friendly and thorough. My cough has improved significantly after a 10 day course of antibiotics but my ears are still stuffed and painful and my glands are still swollen and sore. I will be coming back since I have such a hard time getting in to see my primary care provider.
