I brought my client here today for an urgent matter. I loved how quickly we were able to come in and be seen. The waiting area is nice and the intake forms are quick and easy. The lady at the front desk was wonderful and allowed me to ask so many questions prior to us actually arriving. Our medical assistant Karen was quick but thorough. She was so sweet and kind to us. Our doctor Gilbert ( he was nice enough to share his name with my client. It’s amazing how an 83 year old can charm people 😂) was also amazing. He allowed us to ask as many questions as we needed and he made sure we understand all the information he gave us. I never knew about this urgent care center and I have to say it’s amazing and fast. I love that you don’t feel so crowded and anxious like you do at most places. The staff were attentive, pleasant and polite. A special shout out to NP Gilbert and Karen who were stellar in their approach to care. Assistant and attending were great with her. Made taking a strep and covid test easy. Great with little kids which is nice to find when you need to go somewhere outside the pediatricians office.By Meredith Sharkey (4 months ago)I was super sick and I came to this urgent care to get tested and treated. I made an appointment an hour in advance, but it seems like it was unnecessary since intake was super quick on a Friday evening and I was seen pretty much immediately.
Gilbert and his companion were a godsend, and they had excellent bedside manner and helped me be comfortable even though I was feeling terrible. They were able to rapid test me for covid, flu, and strep, with all the results coming back within 10 minutes. Gilbert-NP made a spectacular judgment call and prescribed some medications that helped me feel better within a day, even though I had been battling a fever for multiple days beforehand.
When I got to the pharmacy, I discovered that my prescription had been sent under the wrong name due to my mistake during patient registration. Even though I called the office 4 minutes before closing, the receptionist was able to get Gilbert to resend the prescription under the correct name. This was really crucial since I would’ve otherwise had to wait until morning of the next day in order to get the medications.
Gilbert also checked in on me a few days later by phone call, to make sure I was feeling better and to tell me the results of the other labs. I appreciated the thoughtful aftercare.
All of the staff has been super helpful throughout this entire experience, and they’ve gone above and beyond what I would expect from an urgent care clinic. My insurance company recommended NY Doctors. I walked over everything from the reception area to the exam rooms is beautifully clean and maintained. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Filling out the new patient paperwork was easily done with an app. The technician that screened me was really professional. I saw the nurse practitioner. He was terrific. He listened to my symptoms and gave me a quick diagnosis. I think all things considered I was there 30 minutes but I didn’t feel rushed. I am not one for reviews, but New York Doctors was great. I am from out of town and knowing that a place like this exists makes me a whole lot more comfortable traveling. The staff was friendly, the office was clean and accessible, and the timing on how long it would take a doctor to see me was spot on. The doctor didn’t rush me out, took time to listen to my symptoms, and had me leaving a whole lot more comfortable then when I walked in. 5 stars
Went whilst on holiday in New York, was seen within 30mins which is exactly what the receptionist said the wait would be which was brilliant. The staff were really friendly, professional (everything you want from a doctors) and the process was very easy. Would recommend to anyone!
Compassionate, efficient, and thorough! The entire staff is friendly and respectful. I scored an appointment within minutes of arriving and team provided empathetic care throughout my visit.
I was traveling in NYC and fell and cut my head. We called and made an appointment. When we arrived, the receptionist remembered us and was very efficient processing my insurance information. The wait was very reasonable considering I was a walk in. The nurse was very efficient taking my vitals and prepping for the doctor. The doctor was very nice and professional. She explained everything she was doing and how to best care for my injury. I highly recommend this Urgent Care center for most minor medical emergencies .
I visited for food poisoning and they did their best to see me as quickly as possible and provide the most immediate relief they could. My wait was comfortable and they made me aware of where the restrooms were. Avery kind staff, this will be my go to facility when I am in need.
