5 Replies to Florence SC Urgent Care – Walk-In Urgent Care

  1. I went to doctors care because I fell playing ball with my children. My foot was hurting very badly. The staff there was very professional And courteous to me. They saw the pain that I was in and got a wheelchair for me. They did X-rays and an exam of my foot. The wait was not too
Bad and the staff worked very quickly. The office was clean. My only complaint is that they required a mask and I do not feel that this should be required. – it should be patient choice. Hopefully this is an issue that their management team can address asap. I would Definitely return if medical services were needed in the future.

  2. My son went there and got very poor service from the doctor. Is foot was red and swollen and the doctor didn’t X-ray it or anything just said it was gout. Ended up at his family doctor on Monday and it was not gout his foot was broken. Upset mom now he’s in hospital with a broken foot and infection in the bone

  3. Went on the website to use their virtual check-in process to get in line at 12 pm received a text saying arrival time would be 5:25 and to arrive 30’ ahead. Got a text update saying they were running 20’ behind. Showed up 5:25 and told it would still be at least a hour wait. Terrible process! Why have an virtual checkin if it does nothing to reduce you wait time. If I had known I would have just showed up at 12 originally.

  4. I was in severe pain most of day. Nothing I tried would alleviate it. I arrived at Doctor’s Care a little after 6 PM. Everyone was very kind and professional. The wait was a little over an hour. They were able to give me shot and 2 prescriptions for my problem. If I had a primary care physician, I wouldn’t have been able to see them that day. Doctor’s Care provides a much needed niche in this country’s dystopic health care system and for that I’m grateful.

  5. I would definitely return to this facility again. The wait was long, but they were super busy. The staff were friendly and every helpful!

I have to say that I received EXCELLENT care from the ER to my hospital stay. They saved my life! They left no stone unturned until they figured out what was wrong with me. I was SOOOOO SICK! I have never been that sick in my life! I had the BEST nurses, a nice room with quite a view I must say. They made me well, gave great instructions when I was released. GREAT JOB McLeod’s!!

I’m really not sure how dumb you have to be to work for this system before they don’t hire you inpatient care but the bar has to be very low. When I say every time, I mean every time, we need to re submit our insurance. They do not submit for payment to the insurance and bill us, even when they say they will. I guess they just want to see if you at it. Math isn’t there strong suit. The understanding that 9 months is less than 12 is confusing. Dillon medical center is dirty. Every time we’ve come in there is trash on the floors, walls are scuffed and marked up. I guess that is why the lighting in the w areas is so dim, so you don’t see it. Checking in is frustrating, right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing. Employees always seem confused. When you get to the back, God help you. No one is there to greet you. Just put your paper in a slot and sit. When you explain that your insurance will not allow something, that you need to go to another facility to get a specific test, you must have grown three heads because that is the look you get. And then they still try to push you to do the test. I assume they are so programmed to not think, to only work as a robot, that when something new comes along they get confused. God forbid someone actually reads what is in your file. God forbid someone calls you back when making an appointment. And when they do get someone who can make decisions, that actually listens to the patient, or actually does t move is a snails pace, they don’t last long. It’s a shame that I’m this day and age, that this is what Dillon County gets. People would probably get better care at a McDonald’s drive through. We won’t even get into a friend who was basically told to just release himself in his pants because there weren’t enough nurses or a doctors nurse not knowing what Telemedicine is. Pitiful to say the least.

I would NEVER recommend this Hospital. The staff treated me horribly with the Exception of one person Mr C. The ER
Dr. Chad Buffkin was the rudest and such a nasty heartless person. No compassion from this man and diagnosed incorrectly. Honestly, he should not be a Doctor and I will be contacting the medical board about my experience with him. This hospital needs to get rid of most of the nasty, rude obnoxious ER workers and security who spend most of there time sitting n laughing and on there phones and eating. If I were the Director of this place I would give Mr. C A BIG promotion and raise and hire more people like him. This man is truly an angel!!!! Don’t go here!!!!!!!!

I have a 2 month old daughter, she has a really bad cold however when we woke up and I was changing her I noticed her chest was sinking in while she was breathing. Urgent care doesn’t accept anyone under a year old so er was our only option. Took them six hours to get her. Rsv test, chest X-ray and into a room. All to tell me she’s fine and to go home. What makes the wait even worse, is a hospital of all places has no changing table to be found. Not a single bathroom has one. So six hours and I had a screaming baby because there was nowhere to change her diaper. Then when we finally got in a room the nurse was all aggravated that the first thing I did was change her diaper so she had to wait two minutes to do an exam. This place is absolutely awful, I will not be coming back.

It’s a real shame how you have to wait for hours and hours to be seen in the ER. When you are finally called to the back the back is empty but you see a bunch of workers standing around talking. They get an attitude if you ask why you have been there for 7 hrs and they are standing around talking. It’s crazy how you have to sit in pain for hours and hours. I witnessed a man crying in agony for hours. If I didn’t live so far I would definitely bypass this hospital and go somewhere else. It’s almost like they say we will get to you when we get to you. People were literally walking out of the ER after waiting between 6-9 hours to be seen. How do you feel okay leaving people in pain for hours and hours.

I’m so happy Latoya Lane-Milo saw a vision for our community in the Pee Dee region and decided to act on it. She is an awesome provider in help care and compassionate about every patient. It’s a please to work for her. Come see us and feel like a star when you leave from the golden treatment and hospitality you receive from staff.

Service was awesome starting from the desk clerk, medical assistant to the NP. The NP has amazing bedside manner. Was thorough, and answered all my questions. I was in and out but did not feel rushed out the door. A plus for someone who is limited on time. Medical assistant was great too! Will recommend. This practice definitely lives up to it’s name! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had a wonderful experience staff was nice and the nurse practitioner understood my symptoms. By the time I left and made it to pharmacy 30 minutes before closing they had my medication ready. The next day I felt a big relief so much better. Thank you for your right diagnosis. I appreciate your service. Keep up the good work.

Everyone there is an angel. The receptionist is very kind, patient, and helpful with questions. The nurse is very patient and very detailed oriented. I trusted her medical knowledge and advice. She is honest but kind and funny. The NP came in and took care of us, explained our diagnoses and needed treatments thoroughly. I felt so safe, cared for, and PROUD, to be served by African American WOMEN!!! Who are professional knowledgeable and took care of us like we were at The Mayo Clinic…very very medically thorough.

Staff was very professional and patient. Atmosphere was very clean and peaceful. Nothing like pleasant staff when you’re not feeling well. I had a great experience. Will definitely utilize Gold Star again.
