5 Replies to Fargo ND Urgent Care – Walk-In Urgent Care

  1. My wife was in the hospital for three weeks and it was the worst three weeks imaginable. She had a Doctor that was still trying to figure out where her gallbladder was even though he was told it was removed 22 years ago, for three weeks he tried to blame everything on a gallbladder that nolonger exists. Nurses were terrible accusing her of having a meth addiction, there was 2 nurses that were from the icu that were very good, the rest were rude and arrogant. The CNA’s were even worse using foul language to her to display there annoyance with her. When admitted in the ER her kidney function was fine, three weeks later after being discharged we were informed that she had stage 4 kidney failure. The main Dr in charge never talked to any of the other Dr’s involved before discharge so had no idea as to what to do comes to care. This hospital has become a joke it is all about how much money they can get. Don’t cgo here unless you want to be worse when leaving then you were when you went in.

  2. I was a travel nurse at this hospital last year and i just want to say this hospital is an amazing environment for the patients and the workers , as a nurse , the level of care provided to patients is awesome, the culture of the hospital is very different and unique , they have everything put in place to make the job easy for the nurses . There is extra help available , I enjoyed working at Essentia and I will strongly recommend this hospital for the nurses and patients. It is a great place to be cared for and an a great place to learn , thank you.

  3. The anasteologist had to poke me twice and took FOREVER to put it in. I’ve never had an epidural take that long to be put in its always been a simple poke and done. This took forever. I was screaming in pain It never hurt me before she kept hitting the right and left side of my back. 2 hrs later I’m feeling my contractions again. She gives me a bolis. Another 2 hrs go by I’m feeling it again. I ask for something stronger. Instead of listening to my request or figuring out what’s wrong with my epidural they decide its okay to do a c-section. I beg them to make sure I don’t feel anything they assure me I won’t and I’ll feel pressure. I was screaming shaking turning my head from side to side uncontrollably the whole time during the c-section. It Was AWFUL. Right after the nurses are transitioning me from operating bed to another bed to take me to my room. One of the nurses pushes my stomach to roll me over I yell out in pain and asked her why would you do that? No answer just like i got no answer on why does it hurt still and are you almost done?

  4. I have had some good experiences with some doctors in their clinics.
Today I have been trying to reach out to talk to someone about releasing my personal information to a group Essentia has partnered with. I have been getting mail, email, and a phone call from this 3rd party. I did not sign a release for my personal information to be given to them. As far as I know, this is a violation of HIPPA. I took a break from work to make these calls. All I get is voicemail. I can’t wait and get a call back when I’m not on a break. The people at the switchboard can’t see who can take a call. All they can do is forward a call. The least you can do is have someone in “customer care” answer the phone.
And stop giving personal information without a release!

  5. Ive went in for severe stomach cramping as i’m still in my first trimester, told me it wasnt an emergency & asked me WHY I came in for that problem in the most nasiest ATTITUDE & tone. I always recommended this hospital to family & friends, now I honestly dont know, ive never had a visit like this before. Highly do not recommend the ER. MATTHEW GERDE is the Doctor!!!!

They refused to see me because of my cardiac issues in the past. The nurse said that I need to leave and go to another facility that would be able to treat my conditions. When I was only there to be seen for an ACL that is torn. Please tell me what I am missing with this patient care. They don’t even deserve a one star. My suggestion is if you are in a state that has another hospital. I would never choose Sanford. You have better luck going to a facility that actually has patient care as a priority.

I had fallen and had various leg muscles pulled and got bursitis so was not moving around much. I got a steroid shot and about 10 days later my pain in my leg lessened quite a bit. I was going to go to work and I was having a struggle to breathe. I couldn’t catch my breath.
I decided to go to urgent care. The doctor was very thorough. I was sure they were going to say “*panic attact”. After x-rays they did a CAT scan. I had blood clots that were a result of my leg injury. That doctor saved my life!! I have had great and thorough experience every time I have gone there.

I usually don’t leave reviews but, I have to for these guys. What a wonderful group. All of the staff at Sanford. From my home clinic in Lisbon to the orthopedic and mri staff at the hospital. Just awesome. Stacey Walton and her group to Dr Kevin Dahl and his team. They explain everything so good and answer all the questions and help with paperwork for my job. I’m glad I have Sanford for my provider!

My mother has dementia. She had a total knee replacement done at this facility. While the nurses were great and polite and her Dr did amazing because of her dementia they wanted to find her a nursing home to rehabilitate at. She was in their care for a week and I guess was not the best patient. I live in Aberdeen SD and had to go home for that week and when I came to see her they insisted that she’d be better at home. Never was I told that her dementia would be a hundred times worse. I feel they rushed me to take her instead of waiting till the next day when a nursing home had agreed to take her because they wanted to get rid of her. Also she is very hard of hearing and I showed the nurse on duty before I left how to charge her hearing aids. They never in the entire week she was there charged them or even took them out of her ears. The nurse on duty the day she was discharged told me he was unaware she even had hearing aids. I think they were very unprofessional.

Between the phone staff and the orthopedic surgery schedulers they didn’t give me a “holding spot” date for my surgery, delaying it by at least a month. When I inquired why they hadn’t done so scheduler Linda claimed ignorance. I asked if there was anyone there who might know the answer to my question. She suggested Patient Relations. i wondered how Patient Relations would know. (That’s a trap. Patient Relations just acts as legal defense.) I asked who was above her and it was like trying to pull teeth to get any answers. When I finally got a name — Erica, her supervisor — in an act of retaliation Lina then refused to schedule my surgery, delaying it further. Her supervisor Erica claimed not to believe what happened as she’s “known Linda for years.” It’s very easy to defend co-workers — it takes no effort. Debra “Debbie” Nagle in Patient Relations then backs them up no matter what they do — she’s worse than they are.

I’ve had multiple appointments here in Neurology. I have Dr. Sam as my doctor, who’s literally awesome 😊. I’ve heard things I love, and things I hate. But I know that’s just me having a traumatic brain injury and being paralyzed on one side of my body because of a motorcycle accident. The tough things I’ve heard I absolutely needed. I’ve also had driving assessments here. For the most part these guys are awesome as well 😊👍. Hopefully this next time around I’ll pass.

My son had surgery on his knee. The staff did an awesome job caring for him. He said the nurses really cared for him. Every time we have visited Sanford in Fargo its always been a great experience. Nancy Johnson was awesome. She was very thourough explaining everything to us and she was very kind. I have no complaints. 😁

My daughter has been quite ill over the last few months and has been hospitalized at Sanford South 3 different times. The Drs and nurses are kind and caring.Their staff are helpful and treat patients with dignity and respect. As a Guardian I was pleased to see ample snacks at all times which is important when medication is is given for mental health reasons. If your looking for a caring place for your loves ones to be. Look no further. This place has been a Blessing to us.
