This staff and facility did not disappoint. They all were efficient and very nice people from beginning to end. Didn’t have a long wait at all. Recommend to anyone needing urgent care. Dr. Norman was wonderful and took time to explain my issue. The rad tech was very nice and did a wonderful job.By Ricky Compton (a month ago)Well after being there twice today. On the second time I was told to have a set , was like the first visit. Well the people that walk in before me. Was taken in, then she called me up again to tell me to come back in 2 hours. Really two times already to day. Her attitude was really rude. She even said there were other places to go besides there. First of all being coming to you guys sense you been opened. Second of all you got your wish. Don’t worry about me or my family coming backBy candy hood (2 months ago)Med Express is a BIG JOKE, they used to have morals about them and taking care of their patients but that’s all changed. I was told to walk in at 3:50 then they said they were at full max capacity and upped the time till 5. They just play with people emotions who are sick. They used to a whole lot better but they are twisted minded Doctors who don’t care about their patients anymore.By Olaf Arendale (2 months ago)Was sick, tested for a few things. The staff shrugged, gave a sick note sent me on my way and a prestiption for antibiotics. Came back 4 days later visibly worse, they ran no tests, apologized for the wait. I described my symptoms, they shrugged and said good luck. Total time wasted about 5 hours between waiting and everything else. No diagnosis, no help.
Only recommend coming here if you’re want bare minimum effort and/or have a death wish.
By Tanner Hrovatic (5 months ago)This place is a joke. I had a pre employment physical that had to be done here. I tried on 4 separate occasions to get seen. Finally on the last time I got it done but had to wait almost 4 hours to see a Dr. It took her less than 5 minutes for the exam. I’ve also been turned away with flu like symptoms due to their “scheduling system” and being “booked” to capacity. No one was even in the waiting room. Bad attitude from the receptionistBy jason jackson (2 months ago)

I arrived at the Bluefield clinic at 2:00 to get a Covid test because that is where WVDHHR directed me via their webpage. I was told that I had to have an appointment to get tested, but that they had a 2:30 opening. I registered from the car and they told me to wait and they would come out to test me. An hour and fifteen minutes later I am still sitting in my car waiting and I finally got a call through to the receptionist- she looked and said that they had marked me a “no show”. What?? Sick, freezing, and fed up, I left. I’m feel sure they probably know how to administer a Covid test, but they sure don’t know how to run the place.By Darlena Ables (a year ago)I absolutely love my Dr and most of the staff. One thing that is so aggravating is they never answer their phone. I mean people need to call their dr sometime. They said awhile back they were going to have it fixed but as of today you still cant get thru to them.By Kim Duesing (a year ago)Very professional and friendly office staff. The Doctor’s are fantastic and take the time to listen and work with you. Unfortunately some of the other patients are awful, you should see them in the waiting room, they’re unbelievably rude to the staff and other patients. They’ll come in after you and insist they were there before you. One lady came in and demanded her mammogram results not wanting to wait for the doctor then became biligerent when they finally complied and told her. It was crazy! I didn’t hear the results nor do I think anyone else did until she shouted them back with a how dare you tell this in front of everyone attitude. The care I receive is worth listening to these patients embarrass themselves. I’m just glad the staff are well trained to handle them so quickly & professionally cause Lord knows I couldn’t.By donella sears (4 years ago)Dr. Billips and the enitre staff were so kind to me and my grandchildren. My two girls had never been to a doctor and he totally made them feel comfortable, as did everyone who works there. My girls were so scared before the went in but were laughing and happy when they left even having their blood drawn! We all feel blessed to have found this office!By Pamela Carroll (2 years ago)This place is very unprofessional and very disrespectful. The nurse had the receptionist tell the results of a friends mammogram and everyone in the lobby heard the bad news. Beware of brittany she is very unprofessional. Will be finding a new doctor. One who has a nurse with respect and is a little more professional.By Diane Dinger (4 years ago)

Waited a total of 4 hours for a simple drug test and DOT physical that took a total of maybe 6-7 minutes. Most the people at the front don’t seem to care about anything and just sit on personal phones. Nurse that actually dealt with me was nice at least.
I was seen by Kristen Youther. She was not only kind, but she was extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable. She fixed up my wound and it did not hurt.
Med Express made an amazing decision when they hired Kristen. She’s such a blessing!
Have a very sick little boy and was just told that they may start scheduling patients in over an hour but can’t guarantee that this child would be seen today. My daughter had called ahead of time since today is a holiday and to make sure their insurance was accepted. There was 2 people waiting and one person in front of us who was told they would be scheduled at one. This doesn’t make any sense to me.
Reply to response: That seems unusual since we also called ahead of time and arrived around 10:30 in the morning. But, thank you for replying. We were also told that no other urgent cares would be open, she said she could guarantee this and to go to an ER in Beckley because they were just like an urgent care. We called a different urgent care that was open who told us up front it would be an hour wait and they accepted the insurance as well. This did not change after we arrived. This child is my grandson and is visiting from out of state. He tested positive for strep throat. Again, thank you for replying, however I don’t care to go through this confusion again and will likely use this other urgent care even though it’s a little farther from me.
We were treated with such compassion and skill after a skiing accident. We arrived shortly before closing time, but everyone from the front desk to clinical staff was great. The young patient was stitched up and ready to hit the slopes the next morning. Thank you!❤
The Care is great when you can get it. It’s a total shot in the dark as to if you’ll actually be able to be seen. We’ve been turned away at least 5 times over the past few months. If the demand for care is that high then they need to hire more staff. Better management is needed.
