Sweetwater Healthcare is a great place to work with staff that have been here for a long time. I can’t believe what we were put through. We were lied to by the rude front desk when we set our appointment and she set us up with a doctor that was not even our own and then lied to by the nurse repeatedly asking her if we were being put in the right room because it wasn’t on our doctor’s hall and she just kept going around the question then when she mentioned another doctor’s name and I told her I did not know who that doctor was she said she would go get the doctor and they would talk to me when the nurse practitioner and LVN came in I let them know that there was Bloody tissue next to the bed and let them know that bed was never cleaned that the girl just came in ripped the paper down no sanitation or any cleaning at all and the bloody tissue on the floor made me certain that I didnt want to be there, how nasty is that when you go to the doctors with so called experts.By Pamala Meyer (4 months ago)My insurance did not cover this visit and the nurse told me my visit would be probably about 170.00 so I stayed and was seen by nurse practitioner. For a prescription, my weight, blood pressure and listened to my lungs, I was floored with a bill of 297.00. What a joke !By Kim Melton (a month ago)This place is trash. The state should shut it down. If you don’t wanna take their covid test they dismiss you and your child. They act like checking for anything else is not possible. And if you don’t take the test because it’s invasive for a 4 year old they won’t give him a note for school because he’s been out for 4 days. What do you expect a mom to do??? Oh yeah take your covid test then yall can make money on NY Child. I don’t care if he’s positive or not, there is NO treatment so how does testing help him? If anything give him the decongestant meds like I asked for.By Pam M (6 months ago)Just goto abilene. I have to take my kids all the way there, as do many in sweetwater because the front desk is so rude. The nurses and doctors are amazing, but you are instantly “greeted” by miserable rude and angry women. It’s a very common complaint about this clinicBy alicia balles (6 months ago)This place needs to be shut down. They almost killed me. Went into ER with severe tachycardia and adrenal crisis. The Nurse practitioner who was under the influence refused to even let me see the doctor. I was told “wasn’t having a heart attack so go home.” I begged to see the doctor. I ended up going to another ER where I was seen by an actual doctor and was told I could have died. I was threatened with a nurse’s fist and a needle to put on a mask yet NONE of them were wearing a mask. See photos.By Jane Doe (2 years ago)

Terrible treatment from doctor. I went in with bad back pain and he refused to do any tests. Like not even an X-ray. I asked him to and he said to ask my regular doctor to do it. However, I live in Arizona and am in Texas for work. Soo what am I supposed to do now? Does the hospital not have an X-ray?
Rolling plains memorial hospital ER has to be the worst place in the world. Nurse practioner Valerie Benavides is the most unprofessional uncompassionate person I have ever met in my life!! I would never recommend anyone to come to this ER. If you’re in severe pain they will tell you they don’t treat chronic pain an they have no answers. They will also lie an say they completed fluids an don’t even if you are severely dehydrated. Again the ER is full of judgemental people who will belittle you an make you feel as irrelevant as they can. At the end of the day don’t get in the medical profession if you truly aren’t there to help people. I had 4 veins blown as they were trying to get the IV in which I’ve always had trouble with IVs an I understand that but I don’t understand how these Dr’s think I go to the ER because apparently I like being hurt with needles I guess. NO not at all I went to the ER for help an received none. I have made a formal complaint an I plan on making another one. Lastly the nurses were great before the night shift got there an my experience again was horrible an kinda traumatizing. DON’T GO THE SWEETWATER ROLLING PLAINS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL UNLESS YOU WANT NO HELP AN TO BE TREATED LESS THAN A PERSON!!
What’s the point of having people at the front desk and nurses as well, if they just look at you and tell you that they can’t HELP YOU unless you it’s an emergency. 😤 Smh, get better assistance and y’all would get more business. Being polite is kinda a necessity that you need to work on a hospital.
The 1 star is for the FEW staff that are actually decent. This ER is literally the WORST. I went in for Covid/flu like symptoms and they said the wouldn’t test me! A waste of time and money. The doctor was rude and arrogant and treated me as if I don’t know what I’m talking about. Next time I’ll be going to Abilene
Our son was born at RPMH a few weeks ago and let me tell you, these folks are absolutely incredible. We self pay and we’ve had nightmares dealing with other hospitals in the past; from the get go Dr. Leidtke prepared pricing and options for us and due to the baby being breech, a c section was scheduled. Plans didn’t quite pan out as my wife’s water broke a day early. Believe it or not, we walked in to RPMH, paid exactly what we were told with ZERO issues.
Now on to the staff. Wow! From getting checked in to holding our son the staff was absolutely above and beyond. The surgery staff and nurses were exactly what you want at the hospital-the level of concern, knowledge and care rocked by rocks. Watching the professional care and quality of work performed by Dr. Leidtke and Dr. Matthew was astonishing. Sara, the RN, I can’t say enough about; absolutely amazing. Every nurse and doctor we dealt with did something, shared something, or shined a light in a way that brought so much comfort to my family during this. I wish I had written all their names down so I could mentioned each person. For the record, this isn’t our first child but our first at RPMH…. This is the 1st experience in a hospital I truly enjoyed. Even walking though the hospital everyone I passed from janitorial to doctor spoke and smiled.
Sealing the deal, we were released a day early (thank goodness, right before the bad weather hit) and would you believe the refunded us for the unused day? Unheard of! Our son was born on Sunday and we had a refund check on Friday.
Can’t say enough about this experience at RPMH. We don’t live in Sweetwater and have options closer to home but if I can I will always make the drive!
