Always wonderful, caring physicians. Nice staff, techs. In & out fast. I drive across town to go to this urgent care. At the other urgent cares in Spartanburg you will sit for HOURS and they may tell you to come back in a few days before they will give antibiotics which typically just makes you get worse & suffer before getting something to help you. I even take my kids here as I prefer it over the pediatricians office if it is something an urgent care can handle! He took his time with me and really focused on helping me understand what was wrong with me. My lymph node ducts in my neck were clogged which was making my face swell and causing so much pain. Turns out drink lemon and lime water and eat lemon heads to unclog them along with a change of antibiotics. I wish I could remember the doctors name but I would love to have him as my regular doctor. I will never go back after my appointment yesterday. I had an appointment at 4:30 and didn’t make it into a room until 6:30. The whole time while waiting walkins were being taken back before me. At some point we finally decided to ask how much longer it would be and we were told there were two people in front of us. FOUR more people later and I was in a room. Being in the room wasn’t a terrible experience but I wouldn’t describe it as good either. I was laying on the bed as I felt very bad and my fiance was sitting in front of me playing with my hair, when the nurse walked in and saw this she gasped and said “OH WOW” as if she had caught us doing something inappropriate. We waited at least an hour more before being treated, as things were finishing up the nurse asked if we were going to leave and go straight to pick up my prescription and my fiance told her no because I was ready to go home after the wait, especially not feeling well and someone would pick it up later that night. The nurse then acted shocked that I said I was ready to go home and said that it would be better for us to go straight to get the prescription. This is not the first time I have made an appointment and still have to wait all day. However the last few times it has happened I was trying to give them some patience but after a certain point this becomes inexcusable. Why have a place to make an appointment online if it is going to be completely disregarded anyway?
The two ladies who helped me were amazing and quick to provide all assistance that they could. Once they realized it was something that could be a potential emergency they quickly referred me to the ER instead of guessing, and even made sure I was okay to be driven by my family member instead of needing to go by ambulance. A worry of mine coming into medical centers is that it may not be taken serious but they did not make me feel this way at all. They were truly concerned and did everything they could. Loved the service I received and will always choose AFC Boiling Springs for my urgent care.
It was a real pleasure to visit AFC urgent care yesterday! The waiting time is minimal, the receptionist is super friendly as well as the nurse and Nurse Practioner! I truly wonderful experience! Staff very professional, personable and helpful. Thank you all so much! I wish you all the best for the coming New Year!
Chanel at the front desk 5 stars. She was amazing, so sweet and always made sure everyone was well taken care of. She is amazing at her hub and definitely needs a raise asap! That being said I only put a 3 star rating bc I have waited 3+ hours every visit. I went almost every week since October for workman’s comp check ups. I understand that they’re busy but honestly 3+ hours is a bit ridiculous just to be seen for 2 seconds. All staff were very sweet and never ran into an issue with anyone there.
I was unable to see my PCP- appointments so my insurance sent me here. It was quick,clean and very efficient. The MA was super sweet and the NP was quick to come in and we agreed on a plan of care. If I ever need Urgent Care again in will definitely come here.
