Waiting room is dirty, the “nurse” who took the vitals and gave meds couldn’t have been more devoid of compassion. Provider also looked like he was being put out by assessing me. Walls and doors are sheet thin, so you can hear absolutely everything that is discussed outside of the room. For 15-20 minutes I had to listen to them talk about the population of Texas before they decided to come in and evaluate me. The only nice/professional person was the young lady at the front desk. She had more compassion than anyone there. Will drive to Tucson before I ever go back. Wish I would have read the reviews before going in.By Emi Nielsen (6 months ago)Not so Urgent Care. This place is absolutely ridiculous when it comes to care. We went there for an eye infection, and received a prescription for something I probably could have gotten over the counter. On top of that we had to wait 4 hours just to be seen. We came from San Antonio and received care faster then this. We recently had something like else medical come up, and decided to go to Canyon Vista instead. That was a good call because we were seriously in and out in under an hour.
I honestly have no idea what is up with this place but the prioritizing is not good. They need to have a few people work on those that have serious problems and those that can just be in and out. If they had the in and out we could have been done much sooner than 4 hours.
Heard Bisbee clinic was pretty good too, if we need URGENT I think I will go there even if it is a little bit of a drive.By Brian DeSpain (a month ago)I paid the $65 copay upfront with assurance I would be seen in approximately 30 minutes, then waited three hours to receive 2 minutes of their time…I would have walked out except they don’t allow refunds. Their treatment failed to help and upon returning to give them a second chance, they claimed I had to pay again to be seen. This time I was smarter and walked out without paying the nonrefundable CO payBy Ross Conover (7 months ago)Rude service and dirty. Needed a doctor’s note for being out sick to give my employer. After completing paperwork, the front desk woman asked if I had taken a Covid test. I replied yes, an at home test. She raised her voice and rudely told me they cannot see anyone who has tested for Covid.
Ended up going to Canyon Vista ER where the staff was kind and helpful. At the hospital I tested positive for Influenza A, and the hospital employees offered great care.
Try to get in with your primary physician or go to the ER as a last resort.
Avoid high desert clinic – don’t waste your time or money.By Allison Rose Ocanas (2 months ago)Never again, firstly need bigger waiting room, Second staff are rude, Third was told about an hour after waiting for half and hour and here we are two and a half hours later still waiting. Like I said never again, I will take the trip to Tucaon before I ever step foot back in this place, if I hadn’t paid my copay as soon as I checked in (the only thing that was done with any speed in this place) I would have left, absolutely ridiculous.By Carl Batts (a week ago)

I recently went into the ER after breaking my leg and had to stay for the weekend. I had a previous bad experience at this hospital and this time it was turned completely around. I had Dr Berdachevsky as my Surgeon and he did a great job, as well as all the nursing staff. I was in a great amount of pain and had never had surgery before and they all treated me like a human being and with excellent care.
ER Sucks pretty bad sometimes.. 3 stars only because I have literally went in and knowing I had something wrong with me (because I know my body at a normal state) and have been pushed right back out the door, or given a urine test and sent right back home with .doctors stating nothing being wrong. Then I received calls a week later saying I need to come back immediately because my urine cultures showing negative results. 😒 I have been treated mean due to having to come back multiple times for the same issue and nothing being done about it for months of ER visits. Seemed I was being treated bad at times because I was sick and coming in so much (but it’s their job to care and they didn’t seem to care much).
Anyways when u pass the ER point the Admitting second floor has pretty awesome staff. The food isn’t so bad either there.
Been to this ER multiple times because of my pregnancy. The workers in this ER are absolutely amazing and kind and knowledgeable. The doctors are just as great. I love coming here I always know I’m in great hands. Doctor Dawn and rn Brandi are amazing . They’re all amazing .
Worst ER experience of my life. Waited 40 hours before discharge. Spent the entire 40 hours in the ER waiting room. I just had major surgery and had complications. This was the most inept medical treatment I’ve ever experienced. My doctor. Dr Haj, was the one saving grace. GO TO COPPER QUEEN OR TUCSON.
I’ve had testing done with no issues; however, a few years ago before COVID my husband rushed me into the ER or tried to. I had to wait for several hours, and had a screamer next to me that gave me the worst migraine imaginable. As a Reiki Master I tried to heal myself all night long. However, the screaming lasted til midnight and I wasn’t able to sleep at all.
I overheard the screamer behind her curtain call someone and tell them she wasn’t really in pain. I was so angry I made a call telling my Mom what the woman said. Told the nursing staff in the morning that the woman screamer told someone on phone she was just trying to sue someone.. Then I was rushed out before I saw my doctor. Since then, doctors in Sierra Vista are refusing to treat me. I was told by Hospital Administrator they did not accept my Medicare Coverage for Hospitalization. Which was Aetna.
I switched insurance and now have assigned doctors within the WellCare Advantage Plan Network. Called Canyon Vista Medical Center today and I was advised that they do accept this plan. I have heart disease and do not want to be taken to a hospital where I’m treated like a 2nd class citizen and do not deserve to be there.
Truth is I have severe anxieties from past abuse and have been in therapy in/off for decades. In fact it led me to becoming a certified, licensed therapist and healer helping others deal with anxieties and/or PTSD. I’ve gotten over my fear of doctors and dentists office with Dr. Jose Gonzales and his staff as well as Canyon Vista Dental, hopefully I won’t be passed around unwanted if I have another emergency and taken here. However, I may opt for Bisbee’s Copped Queen Hospital. If I continue having doctors here treat me like I’m that screaming Mimi who is obviously a con and scam artist. Me? I’m a CLT and ordained Healing Minister with Universal Life Church.believe intend chances. And Sierra Vista is my home. Screaming Mimi was sent back to some other nursing home by ambulance that night and boy was I relieved.. God help them wherever she wound up!
