Imagine, you’ve just moved to the area so you don’t have a primary care doctor and it takes about a month to get into one. You go into an urgent care hoping to get some relief, only to be told it’s not within their “scope.” How are you as the patient supposed to know what is within urgent cares scope prior to going in? Not to mention I’ve received the care I requested from other urgent cares.,
It was the end of the night, so my NP Melissa was short and lacked any kind of genuine empathy. I wasted an hour waiting, and of course will have to pay for this mediocre experience because I as the patient am supposed to know the scope of an urgent care.
Melissa, this may not be your calling or you may need to take a long vacation but please work on your interpersonal skills. Received my results 12/30 and it was positive. I’m waiting for them to call me since that is what the practioner Kelly Meghan said so I can get a script. Nothing, so I call to request one. The operator seems not in tuned and didn’t ask the right questions like my birthday or name. Put me on hold for a bit to tell me I have to come have to come back in for another test. What was the point of me coming to take the test in the first place for me once again have to wait 3 hours sick and come in to take another test to wait 2 days? The unprofessional operator kept me on hold for about 40 minutes and I feel like she was just trying to get me to hang up. She uploaded my cards then still billed it to the old inactive insurance! Incompetent and can’t get anywhere with them here! My stuff is still wrong and because she didn’t do her job I have a huge headache I’m trying to fix that still isn’t straightened out! The bill is all wrong! They don’t care and don’t listen! My fiance couldn’t even stand on one leg after he’d injured himself, and after we waited an hour in the waiting room, went through the intake process, and waited in the exam room, the doctor came in and literally said “we can’t do anything here, go to the emergency room.” Then we got a bill a week later for an “exam”. The doctor didn’t even touch him and came into the room with an attitude like she was just trying to rush us out. After all of this, we found out from his primary care physician that they should have run an x-ray on him and since they didn’t do that, now we have to wait until he is injured again so he can receive treatment and start physical therapy. Took our 8 yr old son for an X-ray on 1/20/23. They told us to come rt back, as I was getting everything registered they took him for the X-ray. The woman who took his X-ray was so good with him. It was his first time – a big deal for a child. He came out smiling. We were in and out so quickly. Everyone was wonderful to him and to us as well. The staff is not only helpful, they go above and beyond to accommodate us. This is the only redi-med we use because of how great our experiences is every time. Among all the other great experiences we have had one in particular I remember is my fiancé and I brought our son in and he was very sick and we were extremely worried and nervous for his health and the PA we saw went above and beyond to run multiple tests on him, gave him a breathing treatment and just sat and talked with us about all our concerns, we walked out of the redi-med and both smiled at each other because we felt so good about being able to take our son home and know we didn’t have to worry because of how great he was taken care of at this office. My wait times have all been low because of online check in. I got a covid test here and they were super helpful with information about it. When I get UTIs I stop by here and they get my script out immediately so I am not in pain. Awesome doctors. Great nurses too. I am afraid of needles, but when I needed a shot, they comforted me and let me sit until my anxiety went away. The receptionist told me they don’t accept it and that it was the only insurance they don’t accept. Not the friendliest human being I’ve ever encountered either. I was treated so great from the time I walked through the door at registration and when I was treated by the nurse and Doctor. I was having an allergic reaction and they all took it so seriously and treated me promptly. My nurse was fantastic and kept me informed throughout the entire process. I felt so comfortable and felt I was getting above and beyond GREAT care!!! Thank you to everyone.
Even though it was very busy last night when I arrived I felt that the wait was not bad. All of the nurses that took care of me were so wonderful. Special thanks to Nurse Sarah. It’s never fun having to be in the ER. The team there make it easier
My care once behind the doors of the waiting room was great. I was a bit surprised by the lack of triage. Not a single person was pulled back to triage and we sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half. I, myself, was being seen for chest pain/pressure with a significant history of congenital heart problems. And there was no urgency in even putting eyes or grabbing vitals on me while I was waiting. Once called back to a room after 1.5 hours of waiting, The nurse, ER tech, X-ray tech, and doctor were all very good. They were honest with their limitations of treating my complex condition and gave viable guidance should my symptoms persist or worsen on where would be a more appropriate place for me to seek care while I wait for my specialist appointment at U of M.
Can’t say that I would be back for any cardiac related events but I would consider seeking treatment here in the future for less intensive and complex issues.
Karen the receptionist who took my information was very kind and was concerned about my pain. This all began at 6:30 am. When done with the paper work she led me to a room. Where a very happy and kind nurse came in…her name was Margaret. She was very professional and also concerned about my pain. She did her best to comfort me and was caring when inserting my IV and constantly checking in on me. Dr. Milly Willy was the doctor l saw that morning. I explained my pain and she quickly had some idea. Sure enough after she requested tests for me a great person name Dan came in and did my CAT scan he was very helpful. As a results Dr. Willy explained in depth what I had and how to take steps in my recovery. I felt secure and I could trust her as well as everyone who saw me that morning. This is day 3 and I’m feeling better still with very little pain, but it shouldbegonebyday4. Thanks to doctors prescription and advice to get better. Amen to all they do. Great team work
Unfortunately, I’ve had to visit the ER too often in the past year and it hasn’t been a good experience. I was told by an ER Dr. @ Main not to come to her ER unless I had something broken or bleeding. She can’t do anything for neurological/endocrinology issues. I was scared but my BP was 158/100 pulse 98. I went to TC and I was taken care of in the best possible way EVER. I had Kaitlyn K and Melissa who treated me with so much respect and the care they showed me, I felt like a member of their family. The Dr was very kind and considerate explaining everything. Making sure I understood. What a blessing this group was.
