Lose’s a star, not from necessarily anything that they can help with…
But the fact that they are to popular for the business that they can actually handle.While the employees certainly care about their patients…
They seem to be lacking any means of longterm tracking of their patients.(by which I mean, you’re responsible for keeping track of visits & scheduling. They won’t track you down if you don’t contact them for a next appointment.)
Also, they seem hesitant to schedule anything further than 30 days out.I’ve nothing but good things to say about their personal efforts.
The bureaucracy on the other hand, seems to shackle them more than anything else.
Literally been told by the Dentist, that any other dental provider would have just given up on some of my problem teeth, and slapped a Crown on them. Rather than risk anything else.Unfortunately, they have staffing issues.
One part time hygienist. As of Jan 2023. For instance.I like going their, but may have to seek other options just to get a cleaning. Not because I want to, but because I might have to.
It can be frustrating, but it’s worth it!

I needed a lot of fillings so I ended up seeing him probably 10 times all included which, itself, isn’t fun, but I couldn’t have gotten a better dentist to work with. He and the staff were always great about letting me know what was going on with my teeth and asking my opinion on things/letting me know my options, and being kind and personable. I’ve never had problems with the fillings or anything else.I used to drive over an hour to get there, now 2 hours, and they keep a pretty full schedule (don’t expect to get in right away unless it’s a true emergency) but it’s totally worth it for the great service and peace of mind!!

They are one of the only dentist in town that take badger care they referred my son to a dentist in Green Bay to have oral surgery the dentist in Green Bay was amazing. Today my 4 yr old banged heads with another kid at day care and knocked out a crown and Rhinelander Dental Center won’t see him they said I have to take him back to Green Bay so now my baby has to wait 3 weeks before anyone can even look at the tooth that was knocked out! My son had side pain, I called his regular dr who instructed us to go the er. He was holding his side could barely walk. We waited in a full er waiting room for 4 hours before he was seen. He slept on the floor as there were no chairs. Once seen it was determined his appendix needed to come out and was in emergency surgery that evening. Once we were seen the staff were wonderful and things moved quickly. I truly hope hospital administration reads this. First, and foremost, the Rhinelander St. Mary’s Urgent Care/ER department staff are “hands down” excellent in every respect, from receptionists, through nurses and providers. The problem is, they are grossly understaffed! I brought my elderly wife in on Saturday morning 12/4/2021 at 11:00 am to seek treatment for “pink eye”. The telephone triage nurse instructed us to go to the nearest Urgent Care as my wife’s regular PCP was not in the office on weekends. Aspirus St. Mary’s Rhinelander was our choice because it was closest to our home. Our expectation was for a medical professional to assess her condition, prescribe medication, and send us off. Simple, right? So one would expect. Well, seven hours, yes seven long hours later she was finally seen! Her condition was “triaged” or prioritized twice throughout the day and she kept getting pushed to the end of the waiting line, because of her low medical urgency. OK, I get it, and agree that others were certainly more urgent than her seemingly non-urgent needs. But keeping an elderly lady along ,with her elderly husband, waiting for seven long hours in a disease-infested waiting room for that lengthy amount of time deserves some consideration, too! We finally walked out with her eye drops at 6:00 pm that day; hungry, bewildered, frustrated, and angry. After venting my frustrations over social media, I’m told it is like this everywhere.God help us! If this is how Covid has up-ended our entire health care system, then something is drastically wrong with the way we deliver care.I don’t have the answers, but we have had well over a year now to think this whole additional Covid thing through and respond, but there are still no apparent solutions in sight. Now that the “flu” season is upon us, here we go again and add to that the new expected and anticipated variants! I certainly don’t blame the front line providers, they are busting their butts to care for the sick. Everyone is very, kind, caring, and down to Earth. Reception, radiology, primary care, physical therapy, laboratory. If they can’t find the answer, or don’t know what it is, they will find someone who will. That treat their patients like their own family. They will do anything, and everything, to find answers, and for their patients. I can’t say enough good things about them. Like the entire Aspirus family. I would never go anywhere else.
I love this place love my doctor and my children’s doctor and the nurses. But Debbie the receptionist is rude and has an attitude towards me for no reason. She needs to work on her communication skills and being polite. I don’t like being disrespected for calling to reschedule my daughters appointment. I have no other problems with any other receptionist but her. I really hope you guys can fix the issue so she isn’t so rude to people who are just trying to schedule appointments. She’s a receptionist if she’s going to work as a receptionist she needs to work on her communication skills and how to approach and talk to people very very upset and not pleased!
Aspirus chain is just not worth the bother. Really is disappointing that this is the only local option. On my last visit, they injured my child while flushing her ears. Not a chain I want to go back to unless required
Billing for services that you are not aware of is fraud! Make sure you do not discuss anything other than what your scheduled appointment is for, they will charge you for it and NEVER inform you that they are charging you! I went for a 100% ins covered Wellness exam, needed to keep my next years premium down, and I was billed for services in the tune of $1100. 2 calls to Aspirus billing, they resubmitted the bill to my ins co coded as preventative. Brought my bill to $104. I paid that. A month later I get a call from Aspirus telling me they are sending me to collections. When I asked what for they told me I owed $710. I explained to her what I was reading on my ins co account. She said she needed to look into it. Then a week later I get a letter that stated they recoded my bill and that I owe that amount. So I went from no bill, to a bill of $1100, to a bill of $104, to a bill of $710. What a crock! Their own billing dept billed my visit differently per each agent spoken to 3 different times. Also, just checked the reviews and noticed that the negative review I left, about this same visit 2 months ago, is no longer visible! Nice Aspirus!
The urgent care nurse and NP Stephanie that saw my child and I should truly be let go. Unprofessional, unfriendly, uninformative, and unqualified. After my 5 minute visit with nothing accomplished, I drove to Minocqua to have my son seen, where he received proper care thanks goodness.
Reception was friendly, the office was clean. But the people caring for you and making the big bucks should very honestly be let go. How unfortunate.
