My doctor was absolutely worth the wait as he was very attentive, explained things in a way I could understand, and made me feel like he was really listening to what I had to say. Holden was extremely kind while doing my blood work, and all of the other staff was very helpful as well. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort and I was prescribed exactly what I needed to help make me feel better. The convenience of being able to purchase the medicine right at the facility is a huge bonus. Once we were called to register we didn’t need to go out to the car to wait because we were being seen shortly after registering. Everyone was nice and friendly. They explained everything at registration. After that he went to vitals and the nurse was friendly. Then we went to the back and waited for the Doctor he examined my Husband and sent his prescriptions right over to his pharmacy. It was a very quick visit I was worried we were going to have a long wait because it was a little crowded but they have a great system and we didn’t wait long. They performed like a team and they way things have been the last few years it was very nice to be able to go, get seen and leave in a timely fashion. Last thing at no point did anyone that worked there not want to help or be at there job it was so refreshing!!! My doctor wouldn’t accept me into his office unless I had a Covid 19 test to treat my congested nose and sore throat. I was able to do all 3 while I was here. Check in was all by phone or technological device Very time consuming and irritating. Ask for ins cards to be photographed then asked for cards at desk. Why photograph them?
Nurse was friendly and efficient.
Not seen by doctor. But by nurse practitioner who had no bedside manner
She did not provide much information other than they would refer me to a doctor
The nurse she returned seemed to have forgotten about the referral.
After our the exam room door she said the referral service would be contacting me
When the referral service contacted me they said the nearest dermatologist was in Roanoke ! That would be a 4 hr trip. Then they said the closest was 100 miles away. Really. I told them I would get my own doctor. The dermatologist I see was located one road away from the
Urgent care office. These people are crazy

From registration, to the exam room. Thoroughly happy with my experience at Better med. It was a short wait and felt, although quick, I was given a thorough examination and given great treatment. On to recovery now.
Hopefully it won’t be too soon, but if I’m ever sick again, BetterMed is my choice for urgent care. 🖤
I started at another location that ended up being very busy with patients and down staff. This location called and noted that they had some ability to help unload the other location. They did there best to help there coworkers and patients. When I arrived the staff was friendly, kind, and efficient. I appreciate there efforts.
I had a very good experience bringing my 3 year old in when he had a fever. The waiting room was comfortable and clean. The exam room was also clean, and there was a tv for us to watch while we waited to see the PA. All the staff was polite. It wasn’t a particularly busy night, and there was minimal wait time. PA Kayla was very nice and took good care of my son.
They only had one physician on staff for well over 35 patients ratio which I’m my opinion is irresponsible. The wait time in the lobby is 3 hours. The wait time in the room was an hour and a half. After we waited for 3 hours before we were seen, someone came in with a cut on their forehead that was not actively bleeding and they went right in. I said to my wife that was not right and the receptionist engaged in an argument with me. Very unprofessional. Shortly after the argument we both were called back for some coincidence. When the doctor saw my wife for the same symptoms she was prescribed antibiotics. When the doctor saw me all I was offered was advice on what OTC meds to use. So at that point I knew the receptionist walked back there to complain about me and express her opinion on how I should be treated. The entire place is a joke and while we were walked back to our rooms we listened to all the nurses cut up and laugh amongst each other. They weren’t busy, just lazy.
