Not a bad family practice/urgent care center. As with other medical clinics, it largely depends on the staff and providers you get for your care. Dr. Haydar and his nurses have always been good during my visits for annual checkups and other visits. I have also never had an issue with urgent care visits although I would like to see an actual doctor instead of a nurse practitioner when I or a family member visits.By Jackie Dotson (5 months ago)I want to give the biggest five star shout out to Ms Margaret at the front check-in desk. I waited in the waiting room for an hour and a half and I have never met a more pleasant employee at any health provider……. ever. She went above the standard politeness to everybody she checked in. She never lost her composure, multi tasked like a champ, and wished everyone a quick recovery. She even thanked the waiting room twice(!) in the hour and a half I waited her thanks for everyone being so patient with them as they did have an extended wait time. I wish more health professionals could come to work with the great attitude that I experienced first hand from Ms Margaret. I also had a great experience with the rest of the staff. They were professional, efficient and even wished me a Happy early Birthday. Other than the wait, this could not have been a better visit.By Paige P (4 months ago)Stay away from this place. This place was so rude , unprofessional and extremely expensive for none insurance people. They charged us $360 for penicillin shot ( didnot ask for what medicine we like to use or price of the medicine for my baby girl) $40 to put it in, $95 for a visit plus $40 for a visit took 10-29 minutes and some other fees that end up about $550 dollars. The whole time we were there was waiting and my might seen them for about 7 minutes. This place is a ripped off business. I went in to get a covid test, but the nurse wasn’t an active listener then the doctor only gave me my negative test results, but didn’t even ask how I was feeling and when I asked him what he thought it might be because it felt like covid symptoms, he said “I don’t know” and prescribed me cough medicine when I don’t even have a cough. I would’ve thought I’d get prescribed antibiotics or something stronger from all the symptoms I’m dealing with. It made me feel like they just wanted me in and out of the clinic not really there to help me and not to mention the long wait time. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I went seeking help for some knee problems, and the nurse was dismissive when I tried to mention my history of knee problems. She then rushed through everything without explaining to me what she was doing. The doctor then came in and did little to try and address the issue. He asked very few questions and decided that I needed to be given shots before telling me why or what shots I would be receiving. I was then given two shots with very little information prior as to why I needed these shots, other treatment options available, or even being told what was wrong with my knee. The staff did little to communicate and seemed to all be working in a rush , even though there were hardly any patients.
Please save yourself the time and go to NEA, the front desk attendants would rather play on their phones, and gossip than check in patients. I was called yesterday, to come in and get a few more vials of blood drawn for additional testing. I was assured it would be an in and out situation, due to me coming in during my lunch break. After standing in line for 10 min waiting for the front desk clerks to finish talking ill of patients they had seen earlier, and waiting an additional 15 min in the waiting room, I had to leave due to my lunch break being over. Highly unprofessional, and will be taking my business to a provider truly seeking to help their patients. HIPPA must not be a thing anymore because they were using full names and diagnoses while gossiping.
The best urgent care in town! Twice we have had urgent situations around the time they close, and both times they treated us with extreme care and were very attentive to our needs! The first time was for my husband and the second time for my son. They close at 9 pm. My son burned himself at 8:30, I called ahead to make sure they would still see us and they said as long as we make it through the door before 9:00. There’s another urgent care a little closer to us closes at the same time but told us no when I called them. I understand everywhere is busy, but for someone to just turn away a burned toddler was Disappointing to me. I’m so glad the staff at st. Bernard’s urgent care actually do care!
The worst experience I’ve had to date. My insurance has a $50 copay for Urgent Care clinics and they told me that they are not technically an urgent care because they don’t bill your insurance that way. Urgent Care is literally in the name and the two old ladies at the front desk refused to claim they are indeed an urgent care clinic. I had seen the doctor there a couple weeks prior, and had called the day before to simply ask the doctor a question about the antibiotics he prescribed and they told me I would have to come back and pay for another visit just to ask. Once there they informed me I would have to pay the full amount of the visit since they themselves, St Bernard’s Urgent Care, do not “consider” themselves as such. Do not go there unless you love horrible attitudes and miserable old ladies.
Went in with fever, back/throat/ear pain and wasn’t given anything except a mouth was and zofran. I did get a toradol shot but it didn’t help. Ended up going to an NEA urgent care and was diagnosed with pharyngitis and given medicine to actually help me. I felt like I wasn’t taken seriously and I had to be out even more money going to another clinic. I seen an APN by the name of Michael Gossett. I have been going to this urgent care all my life and never have I been so disappointed. I will not be returning again.
