The clinic was busy and you never know when a patient requires more or less care. The staff was respectful and prompt at front desk. I had to wait more than my appointment time even though I arrived one hour before my visit with all my paperwork completed. Once in the physical was thorough but had to go to Baptist hospital for a chest X-Ray. I still give it 5 stars!By Mike Difrakhsh (6 months ago)My son was seen here. There wasn’t a single person in the lobby at the time. I only mention this because the front staff was cold and rude. This didn’t make sense, as she wasn’t busy. The PA who saw my son was excellent but how you’re treated on your way to the clinician matters. The front staff is the face of the business. If they act as if they don’t want to be there (or treat you like they don’t want you there); then I don’t want to spend my money at a place like this. Again, the PA, who removed my son’s stitches was great and I don’t want this to be a reflection of his treatment of our family. Unfortunately, I recommend anyone going here after being treated so poorly by the front staff. Dr. listened to my complaints and diagnosed me fairly quickly, had a pleasant but professional attitude. They took my insurance too, which is not always easy to use. There was no one at the front desk to check people in ..only a sign that said be back in 30”. I waited over thirties minutes as I watched a lady continuously bring patients back. Eventually I asked “how are you supposed to be checked in if no one is here??”. The staff member responded “oh she must be at lunch I don’t know.” I walked out and left. Horrible horrible experience. If I could give zero stars I would! Staff was very rude. The young girl at the front desk made a couple clicks on her mouse and said that my daughters insurance couldn’t be verified on her end. I offered to call the insurance company and she said I would still have to pay up front even if they verified over the phone. She refused to rerun the information to double check. I paid the $140 out of pocket fee and was told that if they can get the insurance verified and insurance pays for the visit I would receive a check in the mail.
Once we were taken to a room I was in shock at the DISGUSTING condition of the room. This being a health care setting, I felt like I was going to catch something from just being in the closed space.
The final straw was when I called the pharmacy to check on my daughters prescription status and they told me that the ‘PA’ wrote the dosage wrong and I wouldn’t be able to pick up the prescription until the issuing physician fixed it. It took two days for the prescription to be fixed. Meanwhile my child had an extremely bad case of strep throat. We will not be returning to say the least.
This used to be the best urgent care facility. Not anymore. Today I showed up for an afternoon appt (made @ 8:30 am) I was immediately informed THEY had been billing the wrong INS for almost a year. They REFUSED to see me based on that supposed balance, they screwed up billed the wrong INS (ins i hadn’t had in almost a year at that time) and then refuse to resubmit the claims to the proper INS and then refused medical service. They do not seem to have their ducks in a row and why would you not advise your patients of balance beforehand?I would not recommend this facility and honestly I try to steer clear of anything associated with Baptist medical center as one of their Dr’s almost killed me by NOT READING MED ALLERGIES back in 2005. They get one star ONLY because I can’t leave a review without picking one.
They were able to give me a same day appt for my son. The workers at the front checking us in were helpful and kind, and all seemed to be in great moods and happy to be there. We were taken back quickly, and the nurse and doctor were great. Everything was very clean and felt safe.
The Staff at Care Spot on the Westside of Normandy Blvd & Lane Ave Was very professional, Caring and kind, From the front desk to the examining room. They listen to all of my issues and concerns and when answering my questions, They made sure i understood all of my medical needs, do’s and don’t. Mentally i was very at ease and at peace when i left . I recommend anyone needing medical help and you can’t make it to the ER trust me ” CARE SPOT” Is where you would want to be to get the best medical help. I was super surprised. Good caring staff and they were very professional. The facility was super clean. My appointment was at 3:45 and only waited for about 15 min (if that). I was very thankful they were able to get me in when I called them. Thank you.
